Chapter 305 - 305 Chapter 304: Fearless
305 Chapter 304: Fearless
Damon frowned deeply as he gazed at the duo. Strangely he wasn’t scared of the two anymore, his fear was now directed at whatever is strong enough to put people as strong as the sins of Gluttony in this condition. Even without being told he already had a faint idea that they must have met something terrifying.
The war between deities and demon lords is not something that can be easily overlooked.
“Grims... I brought two of you here because it involves all sins. they sent Grims to kill us off while we are still in the mortal realm. Take it from me these things are tyrannical and cannot be defeated easily. I barely escaped from my opponent” the second half of the sin of Gluttony said with a calm but tired in his eyes.
Buzzz!
Alex shuddered as he heard Danny use the words ‘barely escaped’ while speaking. Seeing his twin demon Lord openly and proudly claiming he barely escaped meant his foe must have not been a weak one.
“What is a grim?” Alex was still confused.
“Technically mortal beings created from the power of the apple of knowledge. Each of them is based on the regions and territories in the heavens. Each Grim possesses the power of all deities in every realm they come from and this can be used in the mortal realm” Danny said with a bitter smile as images flashed through his eyes.
It was dark and anything was barely visible but he was forced to struggle with what he could only refer to as a ferocious beast.
His body shuddered involuntarily at the thought and he shifted his gaze to Damon who was silent in the distance.
.....
“I don’t know what your beef is with my partner but you must put it aside and help him deal with the Grim. If it appears in your world. You may not survive” Danny said and Damon sneered with his eyes.
Danny could already feel the hostility between the two the moment he pulled them into this world.
The youthful man dressed in a white leather jacket and jeans was someone Damon could respect but he would never let someone look down on him.
“Damon Ross needs no one. No single being can take my life” Damon said with a disdainful sneer.
While the twin demon Lords may be powerful, he believed they are weaker than him individually so he had no reason to fear them.
“This is not the time to act stupid. We are facing real threats from the heavens just for being created as demon lords!” Danny said with a deep frown but Damon didn’t seem to care.
He snorted disdainfully and cupped his fists, hiding his hands within his long black sleeves before speaking.
“I was only gone for a thousand years, yet you insects think you can walk into my world and do as you wish? Be it God, demons, deities, or Grims, and that stands in my way will die... Just like your other half” Damon snorted disdainfully as his gaze shifted to Alex’s figure standing beside the seated Danny.
His eyes carried all the contempt in the world as he gazed at the duo without fear.
“You will try and you will fail” Danny’s eyes chilled as he realized the kind of person standing ahead of him.
This man was like the combination of Alex and Silver combined and carried this arrogant air that can only be achieved by beings that have once reached the peak of this world.
“You are not qualified to make such a statement. With this matter resolved, I will be leaving. Pull my consciousness into this realm again and I will damage you without restraint” Damon’s eyes flashed with cruelty as invisible ripples exploded from his body and white cracks began spreading across the realm.
Bam!
Damon stomped his foot on the ground and the two demon lords frowned as their illusionary world was shattered and everyone was blown away without prior warning.
**********************
Damon slowly opened his eyes only to see a magnificent chandelier above. This was his first time seeing one. This is something that he couldn’t find in the Allen family residence yet it was here.
The only place that can be so magnificent is...
The Garrett family residence!
“Rose...” Damon muttered weakly and slowly tried to seat up but his abdomen hurt.
He soon realized he was lying flat on a long King size dining table, in a massive grand hall gracefully decorated with red colors.
Both the tiles and carpets were red just like the walls. It felt like the person who decorated this room was obsessed with the color.
“You shouldn’t move... Releasing so much power in your first battle. Completing a transformation in such a feeble body... Approaching the leader of the enemy forces. You are reckless, young, and impulsive,” a familiar voice rang in Damon’s ears and his vision finally cleared.
It was the same maid who was in the room the first day he was brought here. She was gazing at him but with a slightly warmer look on her face as she spoke. While her words looked like she was scolding a child it was actually her feeling relieved that this is actually the case.
Her greatest fear has always been the possibility of Damon hiding within these people and returning, especially with the outrageous rumors spreading within the empire.
More than ever he needed a sword and who would be a better sword than a child lacking experience and in need of guidance but possessing terrifying power?
In his opinion, Cecile was a big money bag just waiting for him to take advantage of. If she doesn’t make this opportunity count, she may actually end up regretting it all her life.
“I apologize... But my family was in danger, I had to act” Damon said with a flustered look on his face, giving him the look of an innocent child who knew little.
The Beyond mentally nodded at this, he was seeing all the signs he needed to see. Or was he simply seeing what Damon wanted to show?
