Paragon Of Sin

Chapter 1775: Shang

Chapter 1775: Shang

Qin Wang was a fantastical gain. She was a Vagabond Cultivator that had been protected by the Heavenly Daos, having exceeded her master, becoming a high-level Ascended being despite possessing an enviable, desirable, and outrageously rare Yin Physique.

When she encountered trouble, it led to her meeting an unrivaled Blessed of his generation with a profoundly mysterious past. She was, by definition, the perfect instrument for an Interlinked Blessed's karmic fortune to propel them further and further. If she had met up with Su Yi, there was a strong chance that her Primal Overhaul Yin Energies would have advanced his cultivation by a stage, establishing firmer foundations than before.

It was commendable that Su Yi wasn't overly greedy for her back then, willing to wait. He kept the talisman that was bestowed to her by him, meant to be used to locate or alert him if she encountered dangers.

"Back then, wasn't Long Chen the same? He slowly cultivated a relationship with Qing Qiumu, Na Xinyi, and Lian Yu, all three were divine-tier partners, matched with unique and unparalleled beauty. They are always patient, waiting for the key moment."

Wei Wuyin couldn't help but emotionally sigh as he sent the pallid and weak Qin Wang to the realm for recovery, her Overhaul Yin Quintessence was extracted with no issue. It currently hovered above his palm, releasing a flawlessly pure bright peach-colored light. Wei Wuyin observed the perfect spherical orb of raging yin energies, containing esoterically diverse runes containing profound principles that notably exceeded the basic Ways of Mysticism.

With this, if he was careful and precise, he could create future Physique-Forging Pills, granting women this physique or imbuing its qualities into their already existing physique. It could fundamentally overhaul a woman's fate.

Theoretically, Wei Wuyin could create a host of Yin Overhaul Physique Cauldrons. He could establish a force that compliments his Ascendants. Such thoughts were somewhat sinister, however. It would be no different than using humans as resources for others, creating yin farms that were on a grander scale than the Dark Yin Palace that Na Xinyi used. It would make him no better than those imperial snobs back then.

"Too bad the path of cultivation isn't an easy journey." Earlier, Wei Wuyin had proclaimed his profound abilities to allow Qin Wang to ascend to the True Sage Phase, the eighth stage of the Mystic Ascendant Realm, but the most he could do is give her a solid foundation, protection after failure, and assistance in reaching the requirements to ascend. None of this was a guarantee.

After all, Grey Rose was still a Mystic Overlord. It wouldn't be incorrect to say that while Wei Wuyin had an unnatural amount of and a great number of variations for alchemical products of all types and purposes, even with the incredible ease of refinement that his products possessed, even with his high-quality or peak-quality products, cultivation was still something that an individual has to push through. All the assistance in the world could only place a cultivator at the edge of the chasm. Whether they could make it across was all on their will, courage, spirit, and some luck.

Wei Wuyin sighed softly as he sat on the bed, his eyes finding the slumbering Wei Xiaotian that had been tuckered out, her mortal body unable to completely handle the intensity of their earlier interactions. Blessed were cursed to find opportune moments. He was no exception.

He quietly waited for Wei Xiaotian to wake, laying next to her while doing so, observing her unparalleled beauty that was genuinely flawless, designed by the heavens, imbued with his very own essential qualities, and blessed with an unprecedented aura of natural allure.

She opened her eyes slowly, her lashes fluttering before a smile sprung brightly on her face. She silently clasped her hand to Wei Wuyin, their fingers interlocking together in perfect harmony of yin and yang. There was an unspoken exchange of words, thoughts, and feelings.

The small fact that Wei Wuyin didn't send her off after waking up alone after her attempts at seduction and brazen act was a gargantuan sign of his feelings and careful thoughts of consideration, a sign of emotional intelligence that every woman hoped their man would possess.

After an hour, Wei Xiaotian was fully dressed and her hair was perfectly styled. "I promise that I won't do this again." She had tested Wei Wuyin's self-restraint with a trial that the gods wouldn't be able to resist. She was actively willing to sacrifice her great future for his, and she was fine with being the apple that was consumed.

In truth, she was concerned. If Wei Wuyin had her knowledge, insight, and understanding that she couldn't fully understand, the future would be incredibly safer for him. After all, her cultivation limited all three of her innate abilities, and she couldn't convey anything properly that was relevant to Wei Wuyin. She was feeling useless. Meanwhile, she was striving for a flawless cultivation path, emulating a lot of Wei Wuyin's earlier feats, which was taking time and considerable effort.

She didn't have sentient Spirits of Cultivation or his soul-tempering hellish experiences. She was doing the work herself. The only saving grace was his assistance which was boundless and seemingly limitless.

The earlier event of Wei Wuyin challenging the Seven Utmost Towers was a frightful experience. Unlike them, Wei Wuyin was dancing on the edge of unimaginable danger in a foreign land, challenging unknown and extraordinary forces. He was not the Supreme Sage others thought he was. To her, he was not the invincible sky-holding figure that his wives believed he was.

In her eyes, he was a barely ascended man of just over a hundred years of age who was trying his best against the entire world. He could be killed. He could fail. She just wanted to ensure that he wouldn't. That's why she felt guilt earlier. She was throwing away her hunger for his safety or a greater chance at maintaining it. She didn't want him to die, and her three innate gifts would help that. If only he had it!

After all, he gave her the greatest blessing in this world—a life and a future. It wasn't wrong for her to give something back, even if a little earlier than agreed.

Wei Wuyin understood her intentions from the first second he saw her. He embraced her. The hold was tight, almost as if he wanted to grab everything that she was. "Trust in me."

Three words and Wei Xiaotian's eyes widened to an uncontrollable degree. It was as if lightning struck her as thoughts exploded within her, filled with great realization.

Wei Wuyin felt the warm tears soak his robes. The muffled sounds of her saying 'okay' repeatedly and her sobbing noises gave birth to an unprecedented feeling within his heart.

They stayed like this for an unknown yet appropriate time. When they finally parted, their lips interlocked once more, and those unsaid feelings were properly exchanged.

Wei Wuyin was alone. He took several deep breaths and exhales as his starry gaze observed the outside world, the incoming auras of terrifying origins, all coming toward the Essence Sword Starfield for the sake of his oncoming game against the Blessed with mysterious origins, a potential reincarnator of the Resonant Soul Realm.

Perhaps they were coming for him, perhaps they were coming for Su Yi, or perhaps they were simply wanting to watch the show. Whichever was the case, he was ready for whatever was to come.

Wei Wuyin cleared his mind before leaving his room. He navigated the Knightly Dao Pavilion's palatial structure as if it was his second home, and considering that it now belonged to Cao Cuifen, it kind of was. The halls were mostly empty as a hazy tension hung in the air.

The assault on the three Sages taught by the Knightly Dao Pavilion was an unexpected and unprecedented series of events that caused the trifecta to inevitably take a backseat, and effectively rescheduled. With the upcoming game between Su Yi and Wei Wuyin, this only added to the tension. While Shang Wanqing's fate wasn't overly determined by this game, only a fool wouldn't understand that there was an added layer of complexity that they simply couldn't grasp.

After all, Wei Wuyin showed no reverential respect to the Dao Enforcer of the Seven Utmost Towers, yet he challenged this Su Yi character to a game. This was very, very, very telling.

Of course, those in the know, those like the recovering Sages, understood some of the hidden layers of this challenge.

Finally, Wei Wuyin found Shang Liu's room. He knocked on the door and a spiritual pulse announced his identity and presence. It didn't take long before a voice came from the other side.

"Come in."

Entering the room, Wei Wuyin saw the three Shangs seated together—Shang Liu, Shang Wanqing, and Young Master Shang. There was tea brewed, wine poured, and cups drained a few times over.

Shang Wanqing's gorgeous features, especially her beautiful eyes, widened as she saw Wei Wuyin. While she had caught a brief glimpse of him before, that was only a few seconds before the high-speed conflict for her life occurred. From the glimmering sparkle in her eyes, anyone could see the fascination and interest within them.

She wore a black and turquoise cheongsam that caused her eyes to pop and accentuated her slender figure, modestly covering her chest, and yet only exposed their great size that could entice the gazes of men as if they had their own principles of ocular-only gravity.

Shang Liu sat next to Shang Wanqing while Young Master Shang sat opposite them.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Miss Shang. " Wei Wuyin greeted with a smile as Young Master Shang's expression was rather awkward. He clearly had something he wished to say.

Shang Wanqing rose from her seat and performed a curtsy bow of flawless eloquence. "It is my greatest honor to finally meet you, World-Saint Wei. I've longed to do so since the day I heard of your name."

When she rose from her bow, Shang Wanqing's eyes met Wei Wuyin's, and her heartbeat raced with the rumbling strength of an elephant's stampede.

"Please, take a seat." Shang Liu offered.

Wei Wuyin didn't decline as he sat next to the awkward-looking Young Master Shang. The young man in pristine white couldn't resist taking a drink, gulping down a glass of wine within a remarkable time.

"Ah!" Young Master Shang breathily exhaled with some tension lost. Shang Wanqing sat down too, her eyes focused on Wei Wuyin. This foreigner was far more handsome than she expected, and his aura was mysterious to an extreme. It was as if she could get lost peeling away at his depths time and time again, never dissatisfied with what was on each layer.

Shang Liu was helpless. It wasn't a mystery why Shang Wanqing wouldn't mind becoming a Concubine to Wei Wuyin. After all, he was a Supreme Sage expert, a Founding Emperor of a fledgling empire, a possessor of his own alchemical lineage, a Worldly Saint Alchemist who had publicly declared that the Heavenly Saint Alchemist level wasn't too far off, exceedingly handsome, incredibly domineering, and extraordinarily mysterious with connections that boggle an entire galaxy.

There was some excavated news circulating in the higher tiers of the news outlets recently. The startling news that the Resolute Dusk Galaxy had become a vassal of the Neo-Dawn Empire!

Not everyone would understand the wild significance of this feat, but those who were aware that the Resolute Dusk Galaxy was protected by an exceedingly powerful Supreme Sage, preventing other Supreme Sages from even entering, would realize that this Neo-Dawn Ascendant Emperor, this Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint, wasn't remotely as simple as others expected.

The recent challenge of the Seven Utmost Towers was as public as could be, yet there wasn't a single sign of retaliation or even news circulating about eventual happenings of retaliation! This was unnatural!

However, here he was, his location known to all and his bearing as calm as could be!

Still, he would rather Shang Wanqing become the spouse to a monogamous partner, becoming the sole wife, rather than becoming just a beautiful face amidst a sea of beauties, always trying to vie for attention.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

He knew…he had a grand harem and many, many wives. Most of them have died, forgotten. They fought for his attention and sometimes even killed each other. He wasn't an emperor but relationships were always complicated.

The thought of his last daughter struggling in such a bitter sea was uncomfortable. However, what else could he say? He had more or less given implied permission to Wei Wuyin to prevent Shang Wanqing from being taken away after the three Sages suffered catastrophic losses.

The only saving grace was that this type of relationship was likely the opportunity that was prophesied. With Wei Wuyin's help, he had a chance to become a True Sage!

Wei Wuyin was about to pour himself a cup of tea when Shang Wanqing rose, "Allow me."

She moved with grace, pouring him a cup with a small smile. Drinking the tea, he complimented it before turning to Shang Liu.

"I—"

Before he could get a word out, Young Master Shang interrupted.

"Brother Wei, there's an issue." Young Master Shang hurriedly said with anxiety.

Wei Wuyin's eyebrows lifted in curiosity. "What's the problem?"

He wondered if it had anything to do with Shang Wanqing's three soul auras. However, what it was about left him speechless.

"There's a rule set by the Senate of Yri…that no one can be in any type of romantic relationship with two direct bloodline members of the Shang Clan. No one can have two Shang Clan wives…concubines…mistresses…"

"..."

Wei Wuyin was taken aback for a brief moment. Shang Liu was also frowning a little.

"Rules can be broken," Wei Wuyin, however, reacted completely counter to what Young Master Shang expected, dismissing such an arbitrary rule within a single breath.

"But that's…not these rules…"

Young Master Shang went into a spiraling panic.
