Prince charming, your persona has collapsed!

Chapter 92 - 81 Brother, how come your girlfriend kissed someone else’s boyfriend?

"You?"

Both boys showed an expression of disbelief after hearing this, giving Chang Hao a serious once-over. Not ugly by any means, even quite decent looking, but it was hard to imagine he and the girl who was just on stage having a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

Seems too ordinary, right?

"Yeah, what’s up? I came here from Capital City with her. Come on, bro, have a cigarette." Chang Hao was enthusiastic, making it tough to refuse. The two boys hesitated for a moment, but finally accepted the cigarettes, and they all started chatting.

Actually, Chang Hao’s warm approach was just to find out what exactly happened earlier—someone had asked for Zheng Yanyan’s contact information, and then Zheng Yanyan mentioned she had a boyfriend?

What did she even say?

Considering that nothing was actually going on between Chang Hao and Zheng Yanyan—not a word had been spoken—who would have thought that Yanyan would take the initiative like that? Could it be that in her heart, she already regarded him as her boyfriend?

The more Chang Hao thought about it, the more melancholic he felt. If only he hadn’t gone to the infirmary. If he had gone up to give her the flowers, maybe Zheng Yanyan would have introduced him to everyone as her boyfriend.

While Chang Hao and the two boys were having a great time chatting behind the sports field, Zheng Yanyan and Zhou Yuwen were also enjoying their conversation in a forward position. They shared an earbud, listening to songs and watching some short videos.

While watching, Zheng Yanyan complained to Zhou Yuwen about not having enough data, coaxing him to share some with her.

Zhou Yuwen asked, "Is the sales office run by my family? I can just give it out as I please?"

Zheng Yanyan chuckled and teased, "Come on, who doesn’t know you’re the campus agent, huh? I’m practically your girlfriend already, what’s the big deal if you give me some extra data?"

Zhou Yuwen questioned, "Did I agree?"

"Did you refuse?" Zheng Yanyan retorted with a pout.

Zhou Yuwen laughed, saying she was quite clever.

"Of course, reciprocally," she said with a hint of pride. Chatting with Zhou Yuwen was indeed comfortable; when tired, she would just lean her bench closer to his and then rest on him while playing with her phone.

She was still wearing the pleated skirt from her dance performance. As she nestled close to Zhou Yuwen, her slender legs drew together, glowing whitely in the dim light of the field.

Zhou Yuwen was straining to restrain himself, but those beautiful legs were swaying in front of him, an irresistible sight for any guy, especially since Zheng Yanyan, intentionally or unintentionally, was even resting these gorgeous legs upon his own.

Maintaining his image was certainly not easy; he couldn’t just reach out and grab, could he? That would be far too inappropriate.

While Zheng Yanyan leaned on Zhou Yuwen, engrossed in her phone, Su Qing, who had been a stand-in host on stage, came down and spotted this scene with a complex expression on her face.

"Ahem," Zhou Yuwen, noticing Su Qing’s arrival, nudged the phone-absorbed Zheng Yanyan.

"What is it?"

Zheng Yanyan looked up to see Su Qing staring at her. Su Qing took a glance at Zheng Yanyan and then sat down on the other side of Zhou Yuwen, asking, "You’re going to sing with Shen Yu later?"

"Hmm," n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"You’re singing with Shen Yu? Since when did I know about this?" Zheng Yanyan was somewhat surprised.

Zhou Yuwen told her, "You never asked."

"Do I need to ask?" Zheng Yanyan said, getting a bit irritated, feeling like Zhou Yuwen should have shared this with her.

On the other hand, Su Qing seemed rather composed. It had been a month since she arrived; initially, Su Qing had thought she had experienced all of this before and that everything was supposed to happen naturally. But when the story began to unfold, Su Qing realized that the world in front of her and the world she had experienced before were entirely different.

In her previous life’s storyline, Zhou Yuwen and Su Qing had developed feelings for each other during military training. Then they would stroll around the campus after training every day. Although life occasionally had its waves, it generally settled to calmness.

But the changes in this world were too great. Putting aside Zhou Yuwen’s inexplicable relations with people outside the school, the competition from Zheng Yanyan, Shen Yu, and herself for Zhou Yuwen was something Su Qing could not fathom.

Furthermore, Su Qing excelled in her major. She was, after all, a designer of some renown in her past life and certainly wanted to earn more through her profession.

Thus, Su Qing drafted several design proposals and submitted them to major companies.

These designs utilized leading concepts a year or two ahead of the current trends, and Su Qing made clear annotations on the drafts. She thought such proposals could sell for at least five to ten thousand.

However, once the company contacted Su Qing and found out she was just a freshman, their attitude cooled significantly. They even claimed her designs had problems and weren’t practical, but as an encouragement to keep creating, the company offered to buy her designs for two hundred Yuan.

Their actual words nearly infuriated Su Qing to death, who of course coldly replied that she was no longer selling!

Afterward, Su Qing submitted her proposals to several other companies, but the larger ones didn’t even look at her drafts. The smaller companies didn’t need them. Simply put, until Su Qing had some status, her designs, no matter how good, were merely a pile of waste paper unless she had some special luck.

So-called art and design professions that seem lucrative are actually meant to serve a very small group of people. If you can’t find your audience, even the best designs are nothing but unattainable illusions.
