Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 502 The Forbidden Library, The Academic World (7)

It was not surprising that immortality was not behind the 150,000 Power. He had already thought it might be something like that; after all, the concept of 'Immortality' didn't seem to be easy to understand or achieve.

However, something key was written in this book.

Immortality disappeared at some point.

'What exactly does it mean?'

Those words could mean many things. But they gave a hint that from a certain point onwards, vampires' immortality disappeared, meaning that they had it before.

That being the case, how many had immortality? What did one have to do to attain it? Isla's immortality may have the answers, but knowing the answers to those two questions, he may also find the answers to why Isla has such immortality.

So Matthew closed his eyes and tried to immerse his mind in his recently acquired memories.

His mind went from the present to when he hung out with Isla day and night in the ancient era. The two of them didn't get to go on many adventures, or at least not that Matthew could remember.

But he soon frowned and looked back at that part of the book.

'...She didn't have immortality, just super healing. But... I did have immortality.''

As he reminisced, he naturally recalled times when he was injured, and his body healed incredibly fast. He didn't even consider it a problem. Back then, small or large injuries were just momentary pains that disappeared soon after when he recovered.

That being the case, why was he no longer immortal now?

But no matter how hard he tried to remember, he eventually ended up grabbing his head and stopped thinking.

'It's painful to remember that time. A huge void in my mind prevents me from remembering that one comfortably.' In the end, he sighed and decided to continue reading the book.

The book seemed to explain the Power System that rules the World, but not around the Number System but around the four Universal Paths.

-Control.

-Deception.

-Perception.

-Destruction.

The depth of these four paths and the importance in the Numerical Power System seemed to be more than Matthew expected.

And it also listed the great Vampire advantage, which exists because of his father.

This great advantage... Well, actually, there are two significant advantages.

The first one is the possibility of reaching the First Stage of one of the 4 Paths before 100,000 Power, making it easier to advance to the next power stages.

The second advantage is that at 150,000 Power, the Power System forces you to understand the Universal Paths. You will no longer understand the Power and its meaning but will understand the Universal Paths and forge them based on your preferences. Thanks to that, vampires are very close to the Universal Laws, which does not happen with all races.

But, the First Phase wasn't just about reaching 'Early Understanding', that just unlocks the Path of Control skill. Initially, that ability was everything.

-…But, from a certain point onwards, the Father of Power and his Heir created what was once called: The Deepening of the Pathways.

The True System of Power: The Path to Greatness.

Behind the 150,000 of Power, there is a vast road ahead.

What is the limit of Power? Perhaps it does not exist. No one knows, or perhaps those who do know are already dead.

The First Step is the 150,000 of Power. But there is still more.

A Vampire acquires Divinity when he reaches 500,000, but is more needed? There is still a next goal to reach, possibly the last one for many: The moment you acquire Universal Power. You understand the 4 Paths to Perfection and reach 2,000,000 Power.

The apex of the world... Or so many would believe. But you can still ascend further.

The strong divinity you would have at that moment would allow you to go so deeply into the Four Universal Paths that you could reach the apex of power: The 10,000,000.

A far-fetched concept even for me.

But, leaving aside the attainment of such absurd Power Levels, your goal should not be to reach it; that should only be a side effect.

Our Race should not aspire to reach the pinnacle of power; it should aspire to understand the Universal Paths because therein lies the secret of the universe.

If you understand the Universal Paths, even if you have only 150,000 power, you can fight against people far above your power level.

Besides, who knows? You might be one of the ones chosen to develop a skill capable of being recognized as Over You On One Hit. An ability capable of bypassing all power levels, as long as your understanding of it allows it.

You aspire to understand the universe and to explore it more deeply. That is what our Father of Power wanted.

After this, the Power System: Path to Greatness, based on the 4 Universal Paths, was explained in detail, although, unfortunately, this book only explained the First Path.

The Path of Control is divided into 3 Phases.

The First Phase begins when someone understands the 'Early Understanding'. Experience tales at empire

Once achieved, the First Phase splits. It is no longer just Controlling Inner Power to reach the outer; the fundamental and most crucial part is Controlling your Inner Power for Progressive Empowerment.

The root of this division of the first phase is allowing your power to constantly move within you, unconsciously, so that it slowly and progressively strengthens your body. That would slowly solve the problem of internal strengthening, which tends to be one of the most difficult to solve and Matthew's main problem at present.

Even he didn't imagine there was such a thing. But maybe that would explain why people like Gray and others are so powerful at the body level. Maybe they have developed that level.

Once this is achieved, one would seek to ascend to the Second Phase. Here, the mind is crucial; mental power and strength are paramount because the idea lies in controlling the outside through mental power.

This is based on Determination and Vision; the more mental power you can have, the more control you have. Matthew can understand this a bit, as he has done it before with his abilities. The splitting of them and the amplification of Isla's ability are ramifications of this.

This Phase has a name within the Power System: Control Your Mind and Determine Your Path.

It has three Divisions: controlling your mental state, controlling your determination and vision, and understanding the other side of things.

But reaching this level is not easy. It even requires understanding another of the Paths or a perfect understanding of the First Phase.

Finally, there is the Third Phase. Controlling Reality. An infinite depth of which no one has enjoyed the ability to reach its final phase; perhaps only Matthew's father has been able to understand it so deeply.

However, there are specific, albeit very vague, divisions of what must be done to reach it: Understand what grounds an existence. Understand what will bring the change. Have a vision of your understanding.

It gets a name, too: Your Reality is His Reality.

Perhaps the most absurd level of all the Paths. Not for nothing is it the most difficult to achieve. The ability to change reality was absurd, even for Matthew.

He was shocked to read this.

He remembered something.

What he had seen in that 'dream' when he received his first ability. That day, he saw an amazing man who taught him the Three Phases of the Path of Control.

Maybe he hadn't forgotten it, but he had overlooked it all this time.

Suddenly, he felt a severe headache, and his mind went dark. He fell backward and leaned against one of the shelves, which moved abruptly, startling Gray and Murphy.

"Young Master!"

"Boy!"

They both ran to where he was to grab him, but suddenly, the figure of a beautiful, captivating woman appeared on the other side.

Gray looked at her in shock. 'She's... That little girl, Isla?'

Isla was a little changed. No, she wasn't a little. She was very much changed.

The outline of her figure looked more exalted. She had grown a little; maybe she was now Alice's size and looked a little older than Gray remembered. Her aura had also changed; it was more controlled. The most surprising thing was that she got too close without them being able to notice.

She didn't even make a sound when she walked, which was amazing.

They could not feel her, nor could they understand her drastic change.

Isla nodded to them both. "He's fine. You do what you must; I'll take care of him." After saying this, she bent down and grabbed him in her arms to carry him somewhere else under the gaze of both of them, who couldn't even react.

The shock was written all over their faces.

"Hey, Gray."

"Say, old buddy."

"Isn't that Isla Moore, my daughter's subordinate?"

"Yes... I think so."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Then..."

"I don't know..."
