Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 362 Master of Illusion

Amidst the loud chattering on the stage, Xu Feng's eyes were glued to the three Rare equipment designs.

Currently, all three designs are locked, with only its name being available to see.

In other words, among the three designs, he could choose only one of them to learn and forge on the spot within a two-hour limit.

Such conditions could have been said to be extremely arduous and mentally taxing, but considering it was Yaren's arrangement, it made sense.

She loved to test people to their limit, wanting to see just how far they could go.

'Why do I feel like something's amiss?' Xu Feng knitted his brows.

However, no matter how much he tried to think, there was just a slight headache pain, prompting him to simply focus on the competition.

"Ugnh," he muffled a groan before picking up the Stormbreaker Gear design to learn.

As information about the design began surging into his brain, Xu Feng didn't feel any pain. In fact, it seemed as if the information had been integrated into his mind.

"Huh, I've learned it already?" Startled, Xu Feng was stupefied by the easy process. With the hammer in his hand, it appeared as if he already forged the Stormbreaker Gear in the past.

A surge of pride and confidence quickly overwhelmed him, and soon, Xu Feng began forging.

The moment he began forging, the crowd in the audience erupted into cheers.

"Go Lin Feng! Win the whole thing!"

"I bet a lot of money on you, so don't disappoint me!"

"Hah, it's too late already. Crimson Heart is already near the final phase. Just give up and accept your second place."

Without surprise, the crowd was divided into two sides. One side cheered for Xu Feng whereas another side wished for his downfall. After all, not everyone placed their hope and money on Xu Feng.

"Guild Leader, are you really going to take the reward from me?" Crimson Heart, who had been busy forging, paused momentarily and questioned him.

"I've joined your guild, but you still want to destroy me. Is that really an ethical move?" She added, seemingly guilt-tripping him.

"This is a competition though, Crimson Heart." Unfazed, Xu Feng calmly explained the circumstances. Enjoy exclusive chapters from empire

"Wouldn't you be disappointed if I actually took it easy and threw the competition to let you win?"

"No, I wouldn't. As long as you give up and quit now, I can automatically win. But you can just sit back and wait until I finish forging first before throwing the white flag."

"I don't recall you being such a person, Crimson Heart—"

Suddenly, Xu Feng paused for a moment, his grip on the hammer also loosened, prompting it to drop to the ground.

"You're going to quit now, Guild Leader?" Alarmed, Crimson Heart was dumbfounded by his sudden actions.

Ignoring her, Xu Feng thrashed his own forging station and turned his gaze to the audience. Despite his actions, the crowd seemed to be still excited and continuously cheering for him and Crimson Heart respectively.

Amused, Xu Feng gradually watched them slowly turn from cheering to cursing and scolding.

"What are you doing, Lin Feng?"

"How can you actually throw the match!!!"

A few seconds later, Yaren, who had been sitting in the center spot, stood up and glared fiercely at Xu Feng.

"Do you take me for a joke, contestant number 69?" Yaren questioned.

"Take you for a joke?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow with an amused expression.

"No, I don't take you for a joke… but a pile of garbage pixels." He continued, retrieved his staff, and attacked Yaren.

Astounded, Yaren's reaction was quite slow to deflect Xu Feng's sudden aggression. The Sacred Fire launched by Xu Feng landed perfectly on her torso, burning some of her clothes.

"Guild Leader, did you go crazy?" Crimson Heart exclaimed in horror, rushing to him and hoping he would stop his aggression.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng didn't even bother to glance at her and swung his staff straight toward her face.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

BAM!

The staff landed precisely on Crimson Heart's right cheek, and blood splattered out from her mouth due to the intense impact.

She crashed to the ground and rolled a few times before coming to a halt. An expression of shock filled her eyes as she couldn't imagine Xu Feng becoming so ruthless and attacking her.

Coughing some blood out, Crimson Heart struggled to stand up as she cried out, "Guild Leader? What's wrong with you?"

"Please stop calling me Guild Leader." Xu Feng sneered and activated Phantom Step.

Within a blink of an eye, he appeared in front of her, and without any talk, Crimson Heart witnessed he had already conjured a powerful spell.

"What did I do wrong?"

Crimson Heart yelled in disbelief and agony, her expression filled with an aggrieved look. Clearly, she couldn't fathom such a betrayal.

"Are you really going to kill me?" She continued, her eyes widened in shock when Xu Feng hadn't even hesitated for a moment.

"Go to hell!" Xu Feng shouted coldly, without a trace of mercy in his voice. He raised his hand and unleashed a Nether Blast directly at her face.

The beam of dark energy shot forward, piercing through her with a violent force. Her expression twisted in shock and pain as the blast hit her squarely, the impact sending a massive shockwave that rippled through the entire stage.

The ground cracked under the pressure, spreading outward like a spider's web, and the platform began to crumble, chunks of stone and debris tumbling into the void below. Dust filled the air, and the once-sturdy stage now trembled as if on the brink of collapse.

As Crimson Heart collapsed to the ground once again, lifeless, Xu Feng's expression remained cold. Not an ounce of guilt or regret could be seen on his face.

"You dare kill a fellow contestant under my eyes, contestant number 69??!" Shouted the enraged Yaren.

"You can quit the act, Earthrender!" Xu Feng smirked. "You might be a master of illusion, but you can't mimic the aura and demeanor of Yaren."
