Chapter 321: Fourth World: Is That An Invitation?
Chapter 321: Fourth World: Is That An Invitation?
One can only imagine Qie Ranzhe's reaction when he saw the face of the person in his arms. He had been deceived but because his memory was fragmented he didn't cut ties with Kai Zi. He presented an ultimatum which Kai Zi agreed too but it seemed that was another deception.
"I don't want to see your face by the time I wake up tomorrow morning," he said ready to cut ties with Kai Zi but the man wouldn't give up that easily.
In a flash, Kai Zi pressed their lips together forcefully with his tongue licking Qie Ranzhe's lips begging to be let in. Just as Qie Ranzhe was about to push Kai Zi away, an unexpected sound of glass shattering grasped their attention.
His first instinct was to draw his weapon assuming they were under attack but when he looked down he saw Su Xin staring at him like he was a dead man. Su Xin had seen everything. Well, part of it making the man misunderstand. When their eyes met, his heart was filled with complicated emotions. He was upset that Su Xin had witnessed the entire thing but he was happy that Su Xin was eating vinegar for him.
The man smashed a window for him. If it weren't that he had been misunderstood, he would have been dancing the jerusalema dance challenge right now. He sent Kai Zi and Kai Zheng packing the very next day but Su Xin was avoiding him and when he tried to talk to him the man would treat him like air. He wanted to wave the white flag and discuss a peace treaty but he was ruthlessly shut out by this walking iceberg.
The two people he had been silently watching returned to the house and when they passed by the patio they found Qie Ranzhe sitting there leisurely as though sleeping. Qie Xieling had naturally noticed the cold war between his dads and tried several times to mediate but his efforts were futile.
His favourite question this past week was, "Su Xin, are you angry with my daddy?" He had repeated this question like a broken record but Su Xin's response had been the same. "No," he would reply but he would ignore Qie Ranzhe the very next moment.
Qie Xieling again repeated the question after poking his daddy's face a couple of times. Certain that his daddy was sleeping he asked, "Are you still mad at him?"
Wen Qinxi's lip twitched one side while fixing his slippers. Of course, he was still as mad as hell. A month was barely enough to cool his jets what more a week. When he was five years old he once ignored his mother for an entire month for taking away his transformer. Yes, it was a bit excessive but that was a limited edition megatron damnit. His anger only got alleviated after his mum went to buy a new bumblebee to swap out the megatron she had sent to the orphanage.
Two decades later, his favourite person was defiled in front of him so how could he easily quench his anger? Unless maybe if he burns that lustful mouth that dared put its lips on other people's things. 'Forget it. Too cruel,' he thought as the maid came over with some lemonade for Qie Xieling and an icy frappuccino for himself.
"No," he responded before taking a sip of heaven's divine gift, "Lin Lin, you sound like a broken record."
Qie Xieling sat next to his dad and he was about to respond when Qie Ranzhe turned his head startling the both of them. He lifted his sunglasses and said, "So why are you ignoring me then?" his gaze locked on Su Xin.
Making sure Qie Xieling wasn't looking Wen Qinxi lifted his middle finger at Qie Ranzhe before standing up to leave.
Qie Ranzhe who had just been insulted, smiled instead and said, "Gladly! Is that an invitation?" in a voice loud enough for Su Xin to hear despite having left the patio.
Watching his dad vanish leaving him behind, Qie Xieling turned to face his daddy and rebuked him, "You should be nice to him otherwise he will run away again. You better fix this," said Qie Xieling before running after Su Xin.
Just as the two figures disappeared, Machu felt it safe to approach. He wanted to hand over the itinerary for tomorrow's trip back to s city and almost walked straight into the hurricane. He handed the tablet over and sat down with his feet outstretched and his arms loosely hanging at the back of the patio couch.
After a moment of silence with Qie Ranzhe seriously going through the information, he said, "Ran-ge, how about I give my love guru a call? He can help solve your love matter."
Qie Ranzhe didn't bother raising his head as he responded, "No need... my love life doesn't need rescuing."
Machu found this hilarious recalling how Su Xin lifted a middle finger at Qie Ranzhe with absolutely no fear of losing his finger. If it was anyone else they would have had the finger chopped off and fed to them but Su Xin was an exception. Such is the symptom of a man in love.
"I promise, this guru is good. He will rescue this sinking ship in a matter of minutes," said Machu but the piercing gaze sent his way made him think through his next words carefully. "Okay, okay no need for violence. Just remember make love not war," he said standing up to leave before the docile volcano decides to erupt out of the blue.
Qie Ranzhe didn't know what to do but he would never admit it. He thought of buying the man a thousand roses but judging from Su Xin's attitude he might get those roses stuffed where the sun doesn't shine. He even thought of cooking and present it as a candlelight dinner with Kai Zi tied up with a red bow for Su Xin to do with him as he pleased but he let go of that idea. Su Xin might end up slaughtering Kai Zi like a pig.
The only feasible plan he could come up with is to tie up Su Xin and make him listen but he couldn't do it here, in front of his son. He decided to do this as soon as they arrived in s city. As for Qie Xieling, he would call his mother to pick up the kid at the airport. With Qie Xieling out of the picture, he was free to do as he wished with Su Xin and convince him that he desired no one else but him.
With that in mind, this boss excitedly slid his sunglasses down covering his eyes once more before entering the house. He was heading to his study to make a call to his mother. By tomorrow night, he would have Su Xin all to himself.
