Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 381 - Visiting Graves

Arriving at the burial area, Bryana walked to lead Aidyn while carrying a bouquet to her father's grave followed by Dean who was led by Dany.

"That's Grandpa's house," cried Aidyn, who knew very well where Stevan's grave was because he had been invited to the grave several times. The boy let go of his mother's hand and immediately ran to the tomb.

Bryana followed slowly while carrying the bouquet she had bought at a shop not far from the burial area. The woman was silent with a heart that was so sore because she missed her father.

"May you always rest in peace," said Bryana, then placed a medium-sized wreath in front of a black gravestone bearing the name Stevan and the date of birth and date of death.

Dean stood beside Bryana who was squatting with Aidyn. His wife cleaned the dust and a little grass that grew wild around the tombstone.

"I'll clean it so Grandpa is comfortable," muttered Aidyn, who was so enthusiastic about pulling the grass.

"If dad was still around, maybe he would like to play with him," Bryana muttered while looking at Aidyn who looked so loved to his grandfather even though he never had the opportunity to meet.

"Patience ... everything has been delineated by God," Dean shouted while stroking Bryana's hair.

"I don't know how I can stop regretting all of this ... Aidyn, Madeline, and our future child haven't had a chance to feel his love." Bryana rubbed the tombstone gently while remembering when she was a child she was given love by her father. "Mom and Dad left so quickly ... Raymond and I never imagined that our fate would be like this ... never." She didn't feel her tears falling.

"Let them go ... they have calmed down, as we feel right now...if you come back sad, they will be sad too. They are indeed gone, but they are always in our hearts," Dean shouted, holding Bryana's shoulder slightly. He turned to glance at Aidyn who had finished pulling the grass and was now focusing on his grandfather's gravestone.

"Look Aidyn..although he had never met his grandfather, he loved him very much. So did Madeline and our other children. Because they always heard that their grandfather was a good man, responsible and self-sacrificing." Dean remembers about Bryana who had told him during an accident, Stevan always hugged her so that her pregnant belly didn't get hit until finally Stevan was seriously injured.

Bryana nodded and wiped her tears. She smiled at the cute Aidyn.

"Now we pray together, then to Clarissa's grave," Dean shouted and then led a prayer which was played by Bryana, Aidyn, and Dany who were loyal to him to always guide him. After that, they turned to Carissa's grave which is about 20 meters from Stevan's grave.

"Whose grave is this?" asked Aidyn, who had never been to Clarissa's grave.

"This is mommy Clarissa's grave," answered Bryana, then squatted beside the tomb that looked old with a black marble headstone bearing Clarissa's name, along with the date of birth and date of death.

"Oh, it turns out I have two moms." Aidyn nodded in understanding and immediately squatted across from Bryana. "I'll clean the grass."

Dean smiled crookedly at Aidyn, while Bryana rubbed the tombstone and then placed the garland that Dany had taken from the car, near the gravestone.

"May you rest in heaven, My cousin whom I never knew existed in this world," Bryana said sadly. "Even though we've never met, I feel I love you... We love the same man, and I promise to make him happy, to love Sofia like my own daughter."

"She must have calmed down because you did what you said," Dean said with a tinge of sadness on his face as he remembered Clarissa's tragic death.

"I'm so lucky, while she ..." Bryana sighed, trying to be patient.

"God has delineated that her life's fate is like this. We must be sincere and always pray for her," Dean exclaimed then led the prayer for a few minutes until it was finished. he was led by Dany followed by Bryana and Aidyn back to the car and went straight home because he needed enough rest because he wasn't too well.

At eleven, Alex came home early to have lunch with Anna. The two walked into the dining room where there wasn't a single meal, then turned to the kitchen and found Anna cooking.

He approached his wife and then hugged her from behind. "What do you cook?" he asked.

Instead of answering, Anna turned to face Alex. "Why are you home? I haven't finished cooking for lunch yet."

"In the free office. So, I chose to go home early. I also came home early because I missed you," Alex explained then kissed Anna's forehead.

Anna smiled with a rosy hue on her face because since doing her duty as a wife, her husband was getting more and more romantic towards her. There is no impression of being sinister or evil as if evil nature has disappeared over time because of associating with good people.

"Then I will help you cook," said Alex, turning to glance at the pan filled with ground spices that were being sauteed along with the shrimp. "It looks delicious."

"Eh, you better wait in the pantry," Anna exclaimed again, stirring the stir-fry so that the spices were evenly mixed and cooked perfectly. She turned down the heat of the electric stove so the food wouldn't burn.

"I just want to be here, accompany you," said Alex instead of hugging Anna from behind. "Are you still shy about me after what happened last night?" he asked.

"I don't know," answered Anna with a smile and continued her cooking activities.

"Don't be shy anymore, because your husband is getting crazy about you," Alex exclaimed, kissing the nape of her neck to Anna's shoulder.

"Hey.. ticklish." Anna dodged but couldn't. "I'm worried that Sinta or Haikal will see us like this!"

"Why if they see us? Is it wrong? it's natural for a husband and wife to be making out ... moreover they are still newlyweds, still new ..." Alex recalled last night's event. "Just got a share."

"Now go. I won't be finished if I continue to be hugged like this," Anna shouted as she turned off the stove. She was about to take a plate for her cooked shrimp stir-fry container.

"That's done," said Alex, glancing at the ready-to-eat shrimp stir fry.

"I still have to cook another menu," she said trying to escape Alex's embrace, which finally let go. "You better rest in the room and when I'm done I'll catch up with you."

"Really?" Alex brought his face closer to Anna's from the side.

Anna nodded while raising her eyebrows showing her seriousness.

"Okay then but I want to kiss you for a moment," Alex said then kissed anna's lips gently until a few seconds later let go, and left her with a red hue on her face because of happiness.

Anna smiled while shaking her head as she watched Alex slowly walk away. She didn't think that her first job as a babysitter led her to find a love that turned out to be her own master....
