Sky-cracking Rider

Chapter 234 Section 234 - The Petty Seek Revenge

Instructor Ramaya's training class split, with the four students dividing into two groups.

One group consisted of the three unlucky fellows, Ashka, Karan, and Tempun, while the other was Chen Fei, who had just fought to mutual annihilation with Old David. After all, it was impossible for both sides to play nicely together in the same class.

Ashka Copernicus: Can't handle it!

Karan Phillips: Not human!

Tempun Schneider: I didn't come here to be tortured!

After all, Chen Fei's flying experience was all accumulated at the Aircrew Base, the genuine military contractor's barbaric tactics. Whether it was reality's advanced trainers or the jet planes in the flight simulator, the moment he took to the skies, his maneuvers were wild and aggressive, making others want to avoid flying anywhere near him.

Originally an unscrupulous upstart, he now filled the gap in formalization and systemization of his training. He had learned a good amount about tactical maneuvers, making him even more daring and outrageous when he flew.

The advanced flying class Chen Fei signed up for was a short-term intensive course. It simply couldn't compare with the regular training of the Federal Air Force.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

The two-month course quickly came to an end, and not only did he obtain an A+ level combat flight certification, but he also gained an additional 50 hours of actual flight experience and 200 hours of simulated flight experience, barely stepping over the threshold into the world of pilots.

The other three students also successively obtained the flight certifications they desired.

It must be said, Old David's private flight training service had high entry requirements and was expensive, but you get what you pay for. Naturally, there was a reason for the high cost. Once the assessment was passed, certificates were issued on the spot, immediately available for pickup and recognized by the industry associations.

One could start flying at any time, which was a guarantee of the strict reputation of the Eagle Nest private airport.

Ashka Copernicus received a civil aviation freight and passenger aircraft flight certification, allowing him to pilot medium and small-sized transport planes. Karan Phillips received a small business jet flight certification along with a basic teaching certification. Whether it was to serve as a private pilot for a big boss or to scam some training fees by setting up a class, there was no issue.

Tempun Schneider, a self-funded student aspiring to find a job with a military contractor, received a B-level combat flight certification, qualifying him to enter the field.

He could have gotten an A-level certification, but there's the saying, "In the presence of the moon, who cares about the stars?" Chen Fei, who was far superior, had given him such a hard time that it directly impacted his assessment.

However, a B-level certification was still a certification, passing the mark all the same. There were plenty of military contractors who would welcome such a pilot to join their ranks.

After finishing the training class and having a blast with the flight simulator before leaving, Chen Fei emerged from the simulator cockpit drenched in sweat, just in time to see Old David holding a cup of coffee, apparently having been waiting for a while.

He was taken aback and asked, "Old David, is something the matter?"

"Hmm! What a strong smell of sweat! If you like the flight simulator so much, you could just have Little Hana buy one as well!"

Old David nearly fainted from the strong odor of sweat billowing out of the cockpit; Chen Fei was really playing too intensely.

Every time Chen Fei used the flight simulator, he would raise the realism to the maximum. The simulated g-forces were quite terrifying, causing the entire simulator to roar into action and even making the whole room tremble.

The other students in adjacent simulators were often terrified, worried that this guy might shake the building to the ground.

It's just a flight simulator; does it really need to make such a racket?

Flight simulators aren't cheap either, even more expensive than a MiG-28.

Still, Chen Fei nodded and said, "Not a bad suggestion, just not sure if Boss Hana would be willing to spend that much money."

Even if Boss Hana disagreed, he could still save up and buy one after clearing his personal debts!

A flight simulator is a productivity tool, and if a person had one—well, you'd also need a big house to fit it, pfft, that's thinking too far ahead.

"I have some bad news, not sure if I should share it."

Old David pointed toward the rest area not far from a row of flight simulators, where there were tables and chairs, as well as snacks and various drinks.

"Is there any good news?"

Chen Fei, pressing his hands against the edge of the cockpit like doing a pommel horse routine in gymnastics, leapt out nimbly and landed firmly on the ground. He followed Old David to the rest area, pressed a few buttons on the vending machine, swiped his bank card and the machine rolled out two bottles of mineral water and a pack of biscuits.

Waiting for Chen Fei to finish, Old David shook his head and said, "No, there isn't!"

"That's really the second piece of bad news."

No good news also counts as bad news, which seemingly makes sense. Read exclusive content at empire

"Okay! That counts," Old David nodded, not wanting to continue the banter with Chen Fei, and got straight to the point, "That F-22 probably can't be shipped out from the mainland of the American Federation."

"WHAT?"

Chen Fei, who was twisting open the bottle of mineral water to take a big swig, stopped, staring incredulously at Old David.

The F-22 "Raptor" jet fighter had already been completed and entered into the "Physical Evolution Database" through the "Hi-Fi Replication" skill. It didn't really matter whether the F-22 on the tarmac of the small airfield was taken away or not; all he wanted was an official title of ownership.

However, he hadn't expected to encounter resistance. Isn't this something humans would do?

The F-22 "Raptor" was an antique from thirty years ago. The petty American Federation even wanted to restrict the departure of such trash from their country, as if this constituted a technological blockade. Whom were they trying to block?

Those in power currently, who wanted an F-22 but couldn't produce one, shouldn't even dream about it in their next lives, while those who could produce a F-22 looked down on it. Wouldn't it be more attractive to spend the time contemplating the Crystal Jets instead?

In front of the National Treasure Artifacts, all the F-22s ever produced would not be enough for a fight; this was more than just a generation gap in technology.

"Don't rush, this isn't the intention of the top echelon of The Federation, but the Lockheed Family is driving this from behind. They want to reclaim this 'Raptor,' but I have refused them!"

Old David kept sneering; it was just this kind of trivial matter in the circle, and it was no difficult task for him to dig into.

Moreover, this F-22 "Raptor" was Old David's old buddy, but it could only be reborn from the ashes and return to the blue skies through Chen Fei's efforts. Therefore, he would rather give it to the young man than accept the Lockheed Family's high buy-back price.

Although the Lockheed Family made a high offer, Old David wasn't short of money, and he directly told them to dream on!

"What should I do now?"

Not being able to take away his spoils of war troubled Chen Fei a bit.

"You can either give up and let that 'Raptor' outside continue to be my memento, or, hmm..." Old David thought for a moment and said, "There are some intact parts you can take away. That shouldn't be a problem, considering you can put together another one anyway."

Despite his powerful connections, he was still powerless against the written ban by The Federation; having influence was useless in this case.

However, Old David was not worried; he had personally witnessed Chen Fei use his Metal Elemental Psychic Power to recreate an F-22 "Raptor" jet fighter, namely the one on the tarmac outside, which was also the only surviving exhibit of the private airfield Eagle Nest.

"This is really troublesome!"

Chen Fei scratched his head; this F-22 really couldn't be moved.

A gentleman can take revenge even after ten years, while a villain seeks revenge from morning till night. Without guessing, one would know that it was the doing of the Lockheed Family's eldest son, who probably paid a hefty price to get the ban passed in Congress.

He really wanted to encounter the guy again and beat him up severely, breaking his legs.

"How about next time I find a good fighter jet, I let you replicate it again?"

Old David considered Chen Fei's Metal Elemental Psychic Power as a replicating ability. Though he guessed not precisely right, he was not far off.

"Sure!"

Chen Fei nodded excitedly.

This old guy had a wide network; he could find all sorts of good stuff, and there might really be a big haul coming.

"Just so we're clear, don't even think about the Crystal Jet."

Old David was worried that Chen Fei might set his sights on the Federal Air Force's Crystal Jets, which were off-limits and would be a surefire way to become permanently grounded if tampered with.

"Of course!"

Chen Fei certainly understood that Divine Artifacts were the Sovereignty's bottom line, which no one was allowed to touch.

"You give me the address later, I'll send those parts to you, the shipping's on me."

Old David was an earnest person; since Chen Fei couldn't take away the F-22 on the tarmac, he offered to take on more responsibility.

"It's a deal, then!"

But Chen Fei still couldn't return to Aircrew Base 911.

At the airport, his ticket was rebooked by Boss Hana to another destination.

Jiu Defense took a contract within the American Federation territory, which required someone to escort a mission item.

Military contractors weren't always in the wild, clearing maps near air bases all day long; providing security services was also one of their main businesses.
