Chapter 1443: Heaven Liberation Talisman
Chapter 1443: Heaven Liberation Talisman
To Shang Xia, the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman had always been at the peak of rank six talismans.
According to the Wanyun Association, the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman was created by a Martial Emptiness Realm Sage. It was an attempt to create a rank seven talisman, but it failed and became a peak-tier rank six talisman.
After completing the fusion of 5 Variant Talismans, Shang Xia finally realized that from a certain standpoint, it surpassed the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman.
The notion was born in his mind when he completed the fusion of the third Variant Talisman. That was because after fusing 3 Variant Talismans, the resulting Fusion Talisman was barely inferior to the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman.
Back then, he wondered what would happen if he completed the fusion of the fourth, or even fifth…
It was quickly verified. When Shang Xia made his third attempt and completed the fusion of the fourth Variant Talisman, he could tell that the quality of the talisman wasn’t inferior to the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman in the slightest. It even showed signs of surpassing it. When he completed the fusion of the fifth talisman, it was clear it had already reached a class of its own.
With its completion, Shang Xia could tell how amazing it actually was. If the fusion of 5 Variant Talismans were already that strong, he wondered how powerful a rank seven talisman would actually be.
Shang Xia didn’t dare to imagine it, and he didn’t try to estimate it either.
After all, there was still quite a distance for him to successfully fuse the rest of the Variant Talismans in a single talisman. He knew that every subsequent fusion would pose an extreme challenge. Without a doubt, talisman paper at the current level wouldn’t be enough and even if he had suitable talisman paper, he was afraid he wasn’t capable of completing the talisman at the moment.
As for when he would use the talisman he just created, Shang Xia had a vague idea in mind. He was reluctant to use it up just to test its effects like the rest of the talismans he created for the first time.Anyway, it was clearly not the time for him to think about it as he was utterly exhausted from the entire process. He rested for many days before finally emerging from seclusion.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Outside his courtyard, Xin Lu had been waiting for such a long time that she was already feeling numb. Finally, when the protection formations around stopped operating, she started to walk over to make her report.
“Are you really in such a hurry to take a trip over to a foreign world?” Shang Xia might have been in seclusion, but he wasn’t completely ignorant of anything that happened outside. He knew that Xin Lu would pace about the entrance to the courtyard every other day despite feeling bored.
“My art of stargazing seemed to have reached a bottleneck. I feel like an opportunity will come when I’m out traveling and the moment I surpass it, I should be able to become a Grand Stargazer.” Xin Lu revealed suddenly, shocking Shang Xia.
She was extremely serious when she spoke about it, and the look of anticipation in her eyes was clear.
Originally, with her talent, being a Stargazer should be the limit of her abilities.
However, one had to admit that she had great luck. She might not be a cultivator that was born and bred in the Spirit Luxuriant World, but because of the constant assimilation in the Tongyou Elysium, along with the growth of the world which she had taken part in everytime, she received the blessing of the World’s Will like everyone else. With that, she was also able to grow stronger like everyone else.
What was important to Shang Xia though, was the fact that she was one of the only 3 Stargazers of the Tongyou Institution. Great emphasis had been placed on her by the Tongyou Institution and other than the core of the stargazer inheritance, she could access anything she wanted. That was how she had a chance to break through to become a Grand Stargazer.
“Alright. In that case, let’s move up the plan to head over.” Shang Xia replied seriously.
As they conversed, a figure tore through the air and raced towards them rapidly. Xin Lu barely caught the afterimage when she arrived before Shang Xia.
“Uncle…” Hai Yuanyuan’s voice arrived before she could stabilize her body.
Shang Xia reached out to help her, and he poked her forehead with his forefinger. “You’re already a young lady. How can you act so carelessly?”
Hai Yuanyuan stuck her tongue out at him and giggled, “Isn’t it because I heard you emerged from seclusion and I ran here immediately to see you…”
After she spoke, she turned to look at Xin Lu. Recognizing her as one of the 3 Stargazers of the Tongyou Institution, she quickly revealed a friendly smile.
Xin Lu might not be familiar with Hai Yuanyuan, but she had clearly heard of the talented individuals of the institution.
Already receiving Shang Xia’s promise, Xin Lu understood that both of them wanted to continue their conversation in private and she quickly spoke up, “Alright, just let me know when you plan to head out. I will make my preparations soon.”
After they saw Xin Lu walk away, Hai Yuanyuan revealed a crafty smile. “Uncle, do you know what happened? Stargazer Xin Lu crafted a Star Platform here.”
“Star Platform?” Shang Xia raised an eyebrow and asked.
“Oh. It’s a platform that is several dozen times smaller than a Star Observatory. According to her, it helps with her comprehension of the art of stargazing.” Hai Yuanyuan explained.
Shang Xia found it interesting and smiled. “Is she really that amazing?”
Hai Yuanyuan continued, “According to her, she planned to move the Star Platform into a Star Ship in order to maximize its functions when navigating through the void.”
“Huh?” Shang Xia finally felt a little surprised. “If that’s true, the Star Platform will be amazing.”
After he spoke, Shang Xia’s pupils constructed slightly and he glared at the lass before him. “Alright, enough of this useless talk. Speak. Why did you run all the way here in such a hurry??”
Hai Yuanyuan wanted to pout and complain to Shang Xia, but seeing the solemn expression on his face, she knew that there was no way she would be able to mess around any longer. “I wish to head out to the chaotic streams!”
Shang Xia already knew the reason behind her request. As someone who received his inheritance, he understood her path of cultivation better than herself. He also knew that she had already gone out once and was caught by his External Avatar.
“It’s too dangerous…” Shang Xia didn’t reject her request instantly, but his intention was clear.
Hai Yuanyuan continued, “Uncle, do you still have the talisman you can use to calm the chaotic void?”
“Am I supposed to mess up an attempt to craft a rank six talisman just so you can head out to the chaotic streams alone?!” Shang Xia frowned.
“Ah… So that’s what happened…” Hai Yuanyuan’s joy disappeared instantly. However, she quickly noticed that Shang Xia had already stretched out his hand and a talisman was sitting quietly on it.
“Is this…”
Shang Xia sighed, “it’s a special talisman I created and it contains a strand of my divine soul. As long as you’re within a certain range, you will be able to borrow a portion of my strength. I call it the Heaven Liberation Talisman. You can keep it on you when you try to head out to the chaotic streams. Staying safe won’t be a problem with this talisman in hand.”
