Chapter 741: Entry

Chapter 741: Entry

(Leo’s POV)

Leo was unsure about whether he wanted to join the war or not, until he stumbled upon what the global comments section said about the whole situation.

“Look at the Uprising failing miserably to beat back debuffed DarkSky members, just goes to show how they aren’t really powerful at their core, but just opportunistic bullies”

“If the Uprising members did not have the stats advantage, I don’t think they would be able to sweep through the southern and central regions like they are right now….”

“The DarkSky guild is truly made up of the best of the best, you can see it in their stamina management and troop rotation. They don’t let anyone take the heat for too long and have each other’s back”

“The DarkSky is the #1 guild in the world, The Boss is a fearsome force alone, but the DarkSky guild is the most influential, they are the hope of the west!”

“Alright, I’ve made up my mind… I’m going to take refuge in the west and help the DarkSky guild beat back the rebels! Even if they capture StrongHaven City, the west will always be a righteous faction safe haven!”

“Long Live the West! Long Live Guildmaster Cervantez! Long Live DarkSky!”

“This war is sealed… if the rebels can’t help the dirty WhiteSabers capture Bernabeu, there’s no way they can do it on their own, we will observe a massacre soon…”

“The WhiteSabers prided themselves for their war machines, boasted about it on the forums, however, even when given hours, they simply cannot bring down one city wall…. Their machines and engineers are a joke”

“Not even ‘TheBoss’ personally joining this war can now change its fate…. The WhiteSabers are done for”

It wasn’t until Leo read these comments that he felt the petty urge to join this war, just to prove a point.

He was live streaming peacefully and did not intend to join a losing war, as he could technically enjoy a much larger slice of the west if he captured it using uprising men instead of helping the WhiteSabers, however, when he saw the DarkSky and Cervantez being praised, Leo decided to join this fight, just for the sake of ruining their good name.

“Alright Dumpy, off to war we go–” he commanded, as Dumpy began to speed up, trying to cover the last 5 kilometers, until he entered the battlefield, while Leo himself began to channel his entire mana, replicating a move he [Copied] not too long ago.

The WhiteSabers were disheartened when they saw the Uprising retreating.

The war engineers at the front lines began to tremble, their loading speed slowing down, as they feared for their inevitable deaths.

Thoughts of desertion began to creep up in the minds of many, as they looked around, hoping that they weren’t the first ones to run, however, with the collective bunch not running, nobody wanted to be the first to break ranks.

“Prepare for battle…. Incoming!!!” Shouted the captain’s who readied their men for war, however, there was a nervous edge to their voices, which made the men feel as if even the captains were afraid to fight.

However, at this moment, when all signs pointed towards a WhiteSaber defeat and the momentum of the whole war was about to change, a multi-colored arrow suddenly shot past everyone’s head, flying straight towards the section of the wall that seemed to be most damaged.

*WHIZZZ*

The arrow, buzzing with energy, zoomed past the soldiers drawing everyone’s attention, as for a second, everyone turned to see what was going on.

*KABOOM*

A loud explosion rang from the Bernabeu wall, as out of nowhere an opening was created in the wall with a huge section being blasted clear.

The [Rainbow Shot] with all its power, managed to utterly destroy the remaining half of the wall that stood strong, opening a clear and open path to entering the Bernabeu City.

“Who?” Muttered the men on the frontlines, as they had no idea as to which mage managed to pull off this incredible move within their guild, However, watching the wall crumple gave many amongst the WhiteSaber the spark of hope that they seemed to have lost just a moment ago.

*Cheer*

*Shouts*

*Indiscernible screams of joy*

It started slow, but soon developed into a ruckus, as for some reason a primal cheer went up from the WhiteSaber backlines as they seemed to witness something unbelievable.

It started small, a few thousand men chanting, However, it soon grew into the biggest cheer one had ever heard, as over a hundred thousand men began to cheer at the top of their lungs, when they saw ‘that’ man joining the war.

With his black robes fluttering clearly against the wind and his giant green frog unmistakable under his feet, ‘TheBoss’ seemed to join the war from the side of the Whitesabers and with just his entry alone, the whole energy around the WhiteSaber camp seemed to change.

It was an indescribable feeling for most, watching him charge into battle headfirst, as nobody expected to see him here.

At this point, it was the legend that surrounded his name that gave the men behind his back the courage to follow, as although he gave no flashy speeches, and no commands to follow him, the WhiteSaber guild members felt their feets moving automatically, as they charged as one.

“BOSS! BOSS! BOSS!” A chant erupted, as more so than their own guild, the players seemed to believe in the man fighting solo.

For most, he was a gaming god now who could do no wrong and when they saw him finally join the fray, jumping off his frog and killing a few men upon landing, somehow they felt like the war was as good as won.

“Follow the boss!”

“Charge! To the wall!”

“There is an opening…. The city is ours to take!”

“Give the enemy no quarter!!!!”

The WhiteSaber captain’s roared, their voices full of confidence now, as once again, the war for the control of the West took an unexpected turn, this time because of the entry of just one man.
