The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 323

323 That’s childish. Very childish

Just now when he couldn’t speak to Zi Han he momentarily lost his mind. That fear deep down in his heart sprung up again. But now that he had calmed down he realized he was being silly. Zi Han wouldn’t have proposed to him if he didn’t intend to stay.

“You honestly think I would risk that in this ice dessert? My fiance is very silly,” said Zi Han stifling his laughter. He couldn’t understand what Yi Chen was afraid of. It’s not like he was going to vanish into thin air.

Yi Chen asked Raylan to run a diagnostic test while he expressed his dissatisfaction with his fiance. “Baby, you always look like you are ready to drop everything and run away from me. Maybe, just maybe if you say you love me just once I wouldn’t be that afraid.”

Zi Han, “...”

He knew Yi Chen tried every method in the playbook to get him to say it but each time Yi Chen had given up and Zi Han wouldn’t end up saying it. This time it was emotional blackmail but Zi Han was a veteran. He wouldn’t fall for that trick.

“Let’s head back and report this. Something is up with this place,” said Zi Han completely ignoring what Yi Chen just said.

Yi Chen grinned slightly before saying, “I love you.”

Zi Han, “Stop it.”

Yi Chen, “I love you.”

.....

Zi Han, “That’s childish. Very childish.”

Yi Chen, “I LOVE YOU!”

Zi Han, “What are you smiling like that for? Let’s go...”

While these two were messing around, things weren’t going well in Capital Star. Inside the Onyx Federation Interplanetary military headquarters, Marshal Yi was staring at his light brain his expression dark like he was going to kill someone.

And no it wasn’t his son who made him this pissed off. It was an untraceable number that had sent him a message. The words were simple. Relinquish all military control or witness the death of five elite squads in Loch Ness Star with a countdown right below. It was set for fourty eight hours and had already begun to countdown.

The first person Marshal Yi thought of was prime minister Ikeda. Thus he left the military headquarters and barged into the prime minister’s office. He clutched him by the collar before roaring at him. He truly wanted to kill him. If it weren’t for his admirals the prime minister would have died then and there.

“What the fuck is wrong with you? This is why you should be stripped of all military control. You strut around like you own the place,” angrily yelled the prime minister.

What he failed to realize was that his words further fueled the Marshal’s rage. He already suspected him and his words were like the last nail on the coffin.

“You bastard! Is that why you are holding my son hostage!” yelled the Marshal before engaging his mental power and pushing his admirals away.

As the men holding him back hit the wall, he rushed over and raised his fist to punch prime minister Ikeda.

It was then the prime minister realized someone was fucking with him. He raised his hands and said, “I didn’t. Your son is with Han Han so I wouldn’t dare.”

Marshal Yi’s fist paused just before it struck the prime minister’s face. He wanted to beat the shit out of him but thinking about it closely it didn’t make sense that the prime minister would do this. He had his own motives but even the Marshal knew it had nothing to do with power. It was something else... something he wouldn’t approve of.

Marshal Yi let him go and because he used a lot of force the prime minister hit his head against the wall behind him.

“Shit... did you have to push me that hard?” said the prime minister pressing the back of his head as he drew in a cold breath of air.

Marshal Yi took a step back his chest rising and falling rapidly. Hydra had already shut down this entire area and cut off Sheba hence there wasn’t anyone to protect the prime minister from the raging Marshal. Though no one saw what happened inside the office, people on the outside couldn’t help but be concerned.

The only person who witnessed this show go down was the prime minister of Loch Ness star who had been on a video call with prime minister Ikeda just now.

The reason why the prime minister of Capital Star was chatting it up with this snake was because he was trying to probe him to find out what his end goal was. Who would have thought before he could even say a word he was grabbed by the collar by the Marshal and almost got beaten to death? It was starting to look too good to be a coincidence.

By the time Hydra cut all communications the man had recorded this sweet scene. He spun around his chair with a creepy smile. His fingers rubbing his dark lips he chuckled thinking of the moment he would publish this footage on StarNet.

Meanwhile, the warships protecting Loch Ness Star had just realized something was wrong but they didn’t know how to respond nor could they fix it.

It seemed they had lost communication with the personnel on patrol. Despite the lack of communication, they could see that nothing was wrong with their mechs, and from what they could see they weren’t in distress. It was incredibly puzzling. They had to report this to Capital Star immediately and thus they sent a message to headquarters.

While the message was being relayed to the Marshal, Lynn Feng intercepted part of that message and her heart sank.

Ever since Zi Xingxi dealt with prime minister Fortin, something seemed to be off on StarNet but Lynn Feng couldn’t put her finger on it.

Speculations on the prime minister of Lienov’s death were leaning toward the Marshal like someone was deliberately steering the topic in that direction. It was obvious whoever was doing this was going after the Marshal but why?

Now that she had intercepted this message she was petrified. If they were coming for the Marshal then they would also be coming for Yi Chen and if they are coming for Yi Chen then they would undoubtedly come for Zi Han.

“Shit!” she swore before sending the message to Zi Xingxi. Zi Xingxi who was mech battling with her father in the training room saw the message and blasted the wall in shock.

As mentioned before war was coming and it wasn’t for the faint at heart.
