Chapter 484 News From The Dragon God
As the festivities went on, a silver haired woman approached Drukali and said something in his ear, causing him to turn serious. He excused himself and turned away, walking off with the silver haired woman.
"His Excellency, Shorn, wishes to speak with me?" Drukali was surprised, and rightfully so.
Shorn was one of the Dragon Gods that was at the Major God level and he was a Lava Dragon before his ascension. He was usually known to be the most violent of the three Dragon Gods that still remained in the celestial realm of Datar, and was also the most powerful of the three.
Two wings sprouted behind Drukali as he took to the skies alongside the silver haired woman. The woman was from the Jade Dragon Clan and was the Holy Priestess that served to facilitate communication between the Dragon Gods and the mortal Dragons. Her name was Yuka.
Before long, Drukali arrived at the Holy Temple of the Dragon Race alongside Yuka. The Temple was built within a hollowed out mountain and was sacred ground to the Dragons. Very few had ever set foot there.
Drukali did not waste time by admiring the aged but magnificent decorations of the temple and instead followed Yuka right down to the center of the temple. There, an apparition of a giant Dragon who stood at roughly fifty meters in height was waiting.
"Your Excellency, Shorn. I am blessed for being in your presence." Drukali immediately paid his respects.
"Drukali. I see you have grown well. You have done a good job at leading the Dragon Clans down the right path." Shorn was a Dragon with dark golden scales and whiskers extending from both sides of his mouth and trailing downwards, giving him a very dignified and majestic look. He did not look like the average Lava Dragon, but it was no surprise. Which being who ascended to Godhood would ever be average?
"Your Excellency, you called for me?" Drukali lifted up his gaze to meet that of the Dragon God.
"Yes, I called for you to pass on an important piece of news." Shorn nodded and closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again. "Prepare the Dragon Clans for war."
Silence stretched out for the next seconds before Drukali finally reacted.
"War?! But Datar is at peace right now!" Drukali was dumbfounded. Did that mean that the Dragon Clans would be the ones on the offensive?
"Yes, war. But not in the way you think. The enemy this time comes from another world. We will be under siege and the future is uncertain." Shorn explained to Drukali slowly. "An immense army of unimaginable power has set its sights on Datar. They have reached our doorsteps and it is imperative that we fight back."
"Your Excellency... does that mean that there is a chance..." Drukali trailed off, not even daring to complete that thought. But Shorn knew what he meant.
"Indeed, there is a chance, but we will all fight for our future. Whether that chance comes to pass or not is dependent on how well we fight. Other Gods are already reaching out to their followers to ready them for war. It will begin any day now." Shorn replied.
"But... Why were we not informed sooner? If we were, then we would have been much more prepared!" Drukali felt as if he had been wronged. As if all the mortals had been wronged. Why would such an important piece of information be kept from them?
"Child... Some Gods are blind, yet claim to be all seeing. They have failed not just you, but also the rest of us. Forgive me, child, but this is how things are. You must prepare as best as you can. We will hold off what we can, but the mortal realm will face its fair share of trials in the near future. Prepare our kind for the battle of their lives!" Shorn said, his tone steadily rising in crescendo until he reached a peak and spread out his wings, giving his words a mystic essence.
"I will do as you have commanded, Your Excellency! We will prevail in the face of adversities!" Drukali said and pounded his fist against his chest, his eyes glowing with power.
"Yes, that is what I wished to hear. Now, go. Go and prepare your brethren." Shorn nodded and the apparition vanished from sight, leaving Drukali and Yuka alone.
The Priestess stepped closer to Drukali and spoke up. "When will you tell them?"
"...Let them enjoy themselves for tonight. I will make the announcement tomorrow. I will need your assistance." He turned to Yuka and said, the fire in his eyes yet to burn out.
"Of course." Yuka bowed her head and Drukali turned around to walk away, leaving the Priestess and the temple behind.

"Your Excellency!" Ursula bowed before the apparition that had suddenly appeared before her. Her body shook as she tried to control herself, but she found even that difficult to do as she tried to comprehend the sudden revelation by the Ancient Sea God, Corrun.
"I see that Mian's lineage has continued to prosper." Corrun said as he studied Ursula. He was glad that even in his continued absence for so long, the underwater race that he had guided long ago still remained faithful.
"Indeed, my ancestors have been able to prolong their lineage and we have flourished under the guidance that you had left behind for us. We have also received the assistance of the other Sea Gods that had worked with you in ancient times." Ursula said as she raised her head. None of that majestic grace that she conveyed when she interacted with others was present as she spoke to the Patron God of the Aquarians, which was the race that she ruled over.
"I see. That is good, then." Corrun hummed and nodded his head.
Currently, he was within the temple that had been built in the royal palace of Oceabal. Just like many other Patron Gods, he had come to inform his people of the impending danger that loomed over the horizon. While he could have left this to one of the other Gods that had watched over the Aquarians in his absence, he had wanted to go himself to indulge a bit.
