Chapter 487 The Primordial Plane of Valeant (2)

Chapter 487 The Primordial Plane of Valeant (2)

When Leon stepped through the portal and onto the world of Valeant, he could not help but take in the beauty of the landscape that stretched out before him. Red sand stretched out into the distance, but with his keen eyesight, he could see that there were many other different patches of land in the distance. However, one thing he could not see was the end of this world.

"A Primordial Plane is indeed large." Behind him, several other people stepped through and took in the surrounding terrain.

Leon's senses went on alert as he sensed several beings approaching at high speed from the distance. A red, fiery aura surrounded their bodies as they moved.

"The Gods on the side of the Army of Destruction." Shorn took a step forward and rose up into the sky as he came face to face with the Gods that had shown themselves.

"Oho? Datar has many more Gods than we thought! If we had attacked, then we might have been a in a bit of trouble!" The burly God, Daraya, said with a hint of excitement in his tone.

"You look down on us and you will pay the price." Shorn's voice was calm but carried an edge to it that seemed to sheer through the space that separated him and the other Gods from the Army of Destruction.

"Now, now. No need to be so aggressive! You will get your turn to lose soon enough!" Daraya smirked and his eyes took on a mocking look. "The battle will begin tomorrow. Be ready to die."

With those words, a burst of red flames engulfed the Gods from the Army of Destruction and they disappeared, leaving the Gods of Datar to themselves.

Slowly, Shorn returned to the ground and turned to converse with the other Major Gods that were on his level.

"They still greatly underestimate us. He does not hold a candle to my full power. I was able to hide my true strength from him. The fact that we only interacted for a  short time also helped in concealing my true strength." Shorn told the others when he touched down on the ground.

"That is good. They think we only have numbers and not as many powerful Gods. This is still the vanguard force of the Army of Destruction. If we can wipe them out before the real army arrives, then we should be able to cope much better. If we are lucky, then we might be able to prove our strength and discourage the army from carrying on with its plan to attack Datar." Fazir pitched in.

"Our Ace Candidates should be able to help on that front. Each of them are more than capable of punching above their weight. While they fall short of being able to fight a Major God, they should be able to deal with the Minor Gods just fine."

A few gazes were cast in the direction of the Ace Candidates who had all gathered together to hold a discussion of their own.

"We must not forget the strongest among them - Leon Cromwell. He has proven to be an anomaly, growing at an unprecedented pace." Someone added.

"Indeed. He is already at the peak of the Minor God Realm. It is just his comprehension that limits him." Shorn nodded his head gravely, his eyes also on Leon.

Deep down, some Gods feared Leon's growth rate. It was just too ridiculous. He had been on Datar for what? Two years, give or take? Yet he had grown into such a terrifying monster! And he was still growing! With this war, how long would it take him to reach their level?

They did not even want to consider the possibility of him surpassing them!

As they stared at Leon, the subject of their conversation turned and crossed gazes with Shorn. Leon politely dipped his head in greeting before turning back to continue his discussion. Shorn remained silent for some time before also turning back to the conversation he was having.

'He is much stronger than the others think he is. My gaze should have been imperceptible to a Minor God...' Shorn thought to himself.

Indeed, it was just as he thought. Leon's strength was much greater than what others believed. He had made great progress in comprehending the various Laws he had chosen to focus on. It was not like he had to give periodic reports of his progress in comprehending laws to anyone. And aside from that, he never showed his true strength. For a long time now, he had not fought at his best against anyone. Because of this, no one knew the true depth of his strength, not even himself.

"We should prepare. War will be upon us tomorrow." Shorn told the others and turned to leave. The two other Dragon Gods followed his lead and left the other Gods to continue their discussion. A few others also went their way and eventually, all the Gods returned to their respective camps and cliques to have deeper discussions.

Back on Leon's side, he had formed a sort of rapport with the other Ace Candidates. They all acknowledged each others' strength and knew that they were powerful, but they all knew that Leon was the strongest amongst them. They all looked up to him in a way that was not reverent, but was still very respectful.

"So, how do we do it? Tomorrow, it begins." Dyson turned to Leon and asked.

"There isn't much to plan. We fight back when they strike. I don't plan on holding back too much when it all begins. But I do plan on killing a God if I have the chance." Leon responded and rubbed his bony chin. A soft wind made the end of his new windbreaker flap in the air. He had changed his robes for something more flashy. Although it looked weird to see a skeleton wearing a windbreaker, Leon liked it that way.

"I'll aim for the same, then." Dyson smiled.
