The Bodyguard System

In the face of the attack that was launched towards him by the bulky guy, Jaden did not seem to budge at all. From this, one could tell that Jaden did not think of the intention of moving at all.

While others thought that maybe Jaden had frozen from the fear that he was experiencing, the bulky guy did not think the same way. Instead, he thought that Jaden was looking down upon him, by completely ignoring him all this while.

As he thought of that, the fury that was in his heart intensified. At the same time, he thought that he was going to make sure that he was going to destroy this guy, to the extent that it would be difficult for anyone that was familiar with him to be able to recognize him.

But as he was about to land the punch on Jaden's face, he suddenly felt his entire body freezing. Then in the next moment, his body was hurtled backwards at an incredible speed.

The bulky guy did not notice what had happened, only realizing that he was not attacking, but instead, he was in the air, currently falling towards the ground.

He was completely puzzled, but before he knew it, he was almost landing on the ground. But at that moment, a hand went ahead and reached out towards him, grabbing him.

Bang!

The ground beneath the other bulky guy that had grabbed the guy who had been flung into the air suddenly collapsed. From this, one could easily tell that the speed at which that bulky guy had been moving at was insane.

After helping the bulky guy that had attacked to stabilize himself, the two of them together with the others all looked towards the same direction. At that moment, there was a group of four people that was coming out of the forest.

The moment that those four that had come to attack so them, they could not help but be disgruntled. It was just that the expressions on their faces could not be seen due to the masks that were covering them. But nevertheless, from their eyes, one could easily tell that they were not happy with the presence of the other four.

"Damn it! Why did they have to come over now?! They should have at least waited for 5 minutes, so that we can complete the task that we have been given." One of the four people that had come to attack Jaden spoke.

"What are you grumbling about? It is not as if we are afraid of them. We will just deal with them, and help the government get rid of the mutants that it doesn't want. After that, we can go ahead and complete the task that we have been given." The only lady in the group stated.

Currently, her arms were crossed in front of her chest, as she gazed towards the group of four that had arrived. This group was very close to where Jaden and John were.

John had not anticipated to see what he had seen. Of course, for the mutants, he believed that they were the ones that were targeting Jaden. As for the reason, it was currently unknown.

But now, it seemed that there was yet another group of mutants that have come to attack. So far, what he had seen Jaden using was the physical capability and speed. He did not believe that Jaden possessed yet another ability.

So, he believed that the reason why that bulky guy had been suddenly flung backwards was simply because of this group of four that had come over. And since they were capable of sending someone flying without touching them, it was clear that they were mutants.

This was the first time in his life that John was seeing so many mutants here. A total of 9 mutants, when just seeing a single mutant was extremely difficult.

Jaden had already anticipated this. A few moments after he had activated the ability that he possessed, and used it in order to envelope the car with it, he suddenly sensed some form of movement coming from the forest.

At first, it was quite faint, but Jaden made out the sound of footsteps hurrying over. It was clear that a group of people was rushing over.

Considering that he had only heard of the sound after he had activated his ability, Jaden believed that this might be a group of people that was in charge of dealing with mutants.

As for how he could guess like that, it was simply because of what Scott had told him back then. Scott told him that he could no longer stay there, considering that it would get dangerous.

That implied that there was a method that was used in order to track mutants. But, that might be possible only if a person used their ability.

Scott had been living a simple life for quite a long while, before finally exposing the fact that he was actually a mutant. But before he exposed himself, he had never been found. And, after exposing the fact that he was a mutant, he left Faru, and never came back.

This was something that Jaden had realized only after he had gotten out of the forest, after trying out the telekinesis ability that had been Improved after taking the advancement pill.

"Well, it is quite a surprise to find that it is not just a single mutant that is loitering around in the southern province, but instead, it is four. And, you guys don't seem to be ordinary at all." The leader of the group that had just arrived spoke.

He was observing the scene. He looked at the young man that was standing next to a car, before gazing towards the group of mutants. He felt that there was something that was completely unusual here.

In total, there were four mutants. And each and every one of them was not simple, considering that they had considerable strength, and they had a reputation of their own within the circle of mutants.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

For four of them to take action against a young man, it was clear that there was something that this young man possessed that had attracted them. It was clear that the four were from the same team, indicating that they were not competing.

Just what kind of secret was this young man hiding, that would require four mutants to work together in order to acquire it? Or was it possible that this young man was a mutant?

It was a pity that the devices that they possessed could only detect the area where mutants were. But it could not directly point out who the mutant was. From this, it implied that they would have to wait until they saw the mutant taking action, before finally knowing who it was.

But suddenly, the man squinted his eyes as he looked towards the car that was just a little distance away from the young man that was in the center of the entire group.

Even though it was not that easy to spot it, he had been able to see. He could see that there was a small gap that existed on the shadow of the car that was casted on the ground.

It was extremely small to the extent that it was difficult to notice, but it was there. From this, it was clear that this car was actually hanging in the air, though just slightly.

To confirm what he was thinking about, he looked at the device that he was carrying, only to realize that it was stating that mutants were around here. Currently, there was not even a single mutant that was using their ability.

From this, it was clear that the device was not supposed to be indicating that mutants were present here. So, at this moment, he understood that a mutant with telekinesis ability was currently enveloping the car.

Could it be possible that they were using the person in the car in order to threaten this young man? That was possible, considering that this group of mutants had decided to join the dark side, instead of the government.

"Immediately stop using your ability, and release the person inside the car, or we are going to be forced to take action against you right now." With a stern expression on his face, the leader suddenly shouted as he gazed in the opposite direction.

The other group on the other hand was completely dumbfounded by what they heard. They were not the only ones, considering that the other three that were together with this guy were also left flabbergasted, as they did not understand what he was trying to imply.

So far, they had not detected anyone using their ability. But now, he was claiming that there was someone that was using their ability in order to hold someone hostage? In order to confirm that, all of them looked at the devices that they carried, only to see that it was indicating that there was a mutant taking action around them.

Even though they did not understand how it was that this mutant was holding a hostage, they all got prepared to take action. They could not allow the mutants to kill anyone, not under their watch.

The other four mutants on the other hand were completely speechless. What was this guy talking about? Did he really need a reason in order to attack them?

The reason was already there, considering that they were currently within the Southern province. This was something that was prohibited, considering that mutants were only allowed to be within the central province.

Was that not enough of a reason for them to be attacked? Could it be that the rules and regulations that were set for the mutants that have joined the government been changed?
