THE CEO AND ME!

"You are still a liar and I m not sorry that I can't trust you anymore...so can you please leave?"

She closed her eyes and sighed as all his words made their way inside her ears. It was her birthday and she did not want to ruin the moment they just had with a drama.

"Can I first get dressed please?"

She very sweetly asked him and excused herself away from him before he could say anything.

On reaching the bedroom, she could not control the heavy sob that she had been stopping for so long.

She closed the door and hastily got dressed. She did not bother to look neat and just wore the dress and her panty underneath forgetting her bra.

She rubbed her tears away and then put on a smile on her face and came face to face with her husband, waiting in the living room.

"I have...cooked the dinner, you can have it!"

She said and then grabbed her basket from the corner. He did not say anything to her at all. And for a while, she waited patiently for him to at least wish her a happy birthday.

But when nothing came out other than silence, she got that it was her cue to leave.

She moved towards him and dropped a sweet kiss on his cheeks. His body hair stood up in attention.

"I hope that someday you will come to trust me again. I love you!"

She concluded and got out, closing the door behind her. She did not stop there but kept walking, climbing down the building and got inside the Audi.

She did not wait for another second and drove out of there at a speed, in a hurry. He watched her car speeding away from the driveway from the balcony.

When he walked inside, he saw that the food was ready and served on the plate. The smell lingering everywhere in the house.

He was reminded of her again. Her sad, morose face and how good she pretended to be not hurt by his words.

He furiously moved towards the kitchen counter and took the plate, disposing of the food inside the bin.

He did not want anything to do with her. She had become a liability to him now.

Hell! Every time she would appear in his life, she would complicate things up. Like for these past days, he was doing his work, focusing on his business and out of nowhere, she had to come and take away the peace of his life along with her.

Peace had left his side the moment she came tumbling in his fucking life.

Tinsley applied the brakes of the car in the middle of nowhere and finally broke down, resting her head in the steering wheel.

She cried her eyes out, wailing at the ache that was hurting her heart. She could not control herself from letting the sobs out loudly.

She held on to her chest and cried for her life. Who would have thought that she would commit such a heinous act and lost her husband's trust altogether?

And who knew if he was ever going to believe her or not?? What if he did not ever believe her again?

As time passed, she did not realize that she had fallen asleep in the car and the honking sounds awoke her up.

She rubbed her eyes opened and then apologized to the fellow car drivers for causing unusual traffic and sped in the direction of Madison's house.

The moment, she entered the driveway, she saw Madison rushing towards her, sitting up from the veranda.

Tinsley knew that she had screwed up and got out of the Audi. Madison stood before her.

"Where the hell were you??"

"Did you know how much fucking worried we all were??"

Madison kept throwing questions after questions on Tin, not giving her any chance to answer in between.

"Madi...I...I spent the night with him..."

Tin lied, not wanting to narrate the true story. She had caused pain in so many people's lives that she did not want to be selfish anymore.

"Oh really??"

Madison raised her eyebrows, crossing her hands over her chest. Tin nodded her head, not wanting to admit the truth.

"Then why is he here??"

Madison implored and out came Kian along with Anna Maria. The old woman practically ran towards her and engulfed her In a big hug.

"My sweet child!! Don't ever make us afraid like that!"

She said, rubbing her back soothingly and Tin let herself melt in the hug. At least there was someone still left who cared about her without judging what she did in the past.

Anna Maria then left her to converse with her husband and Madi. Madi narrowed her eyes at Tin and threw knives in Kian's way.

Tin did not have it in her to look at him so she kept her gazes down and reserved.

He was trying to get a brief look at her but nowhere did she give him a moment. It was like she was avoiding him even when he was.

For a moment, when he got the call from Madison that where Tin was. He was afraid, not being able to grasp the intensity of the matter that what if something had happened?

He was wrong in asking her to leave in the night and he knew that he had gone far enough to push her away from his life.

But then again there was a part of him who wanted her to stay with him through it all and fight with him for being so stubborn.

He had gone crazy. He was not in his straight mind. He supposed and continued to stare at his wife.

Madi left them alone for a moment to converse even though she did not want to.

Being alone with him had never made her feel so anxious and conscious. Her hands were shaking and he noticed that.

"I m sorry!"

She looked up for the first time on his face. Her glowing watery eyes stared at him with shock. She was not expecting that from him at all.

An apology! Out of everything? That was the last thing she thought she would hear from him.

"I m sorry too!"

She whispered out. It was barely audible but he heard it. He strode forward and stopped right before her.

"I need time!"

He uttered out, touching her cheeks, eyes taking in the view of her thin lips and her big orbs peeking at him.

"I know..."

She replied, taking a deep breath. She was hoping for a kiss but it did not come as he stepped back.

"But first, you need to stop pulling such stunts to get my attention!"

It made her gasp at his words. She swallowed in her sobs as he glared at her as if he was disgusted by her very sight and then left.

Madison heard it all and came out. She stood beside Tin and held her steady.

"You idiot! Won't be long before you would come running over here to get her attention!"

She yelled back at him who resumed walking forward without bothering to look back at them.

That was the last time, she had seen him. It had been over a month and she had not bothered to call him or sent a text to disturb him.

She had absorbed herself in self-pity as if life had become stagnant for her. Endless glancing at the street, hoping that someday he would come running to take her back.

But it never happened as she would stand up and head back inside the house from sitting on the veranda all day.

Madison got busy with the launch of the new company. Lana started to join Tin on the veranda, waiting for her girlfriend who would have no time to visit her anymore.

As if life had taken its turn back to the past ways. Everything was going on smoothly.

Tinsley and Lana became besties in the absence of Madison, hanging out often, talking about life.

Lana would take her to this shopping frees and buy dresses for her which would help in keeping Tin stop thinking about him all the time.

It was not much but it was something to help her spend even an hour of the day to live without mourning for not being able to be with him.

"Did you like the Dior one or Gucci??"

Lana asked, laying on the veranda floor, munching on the fries that they made takeout of from the Starbucks.

"I can't say much...I liked both of them!"

Tinsley replies staring at the view and Lana rose up, sitting beside her.

"Exactly! I felt the same! So I bought both of them!"

Lana laughed away and Tinsley smiled, reminiscing that at one point her life also used to be the same.

But then everything had changed ever since. And when the lunching of Kian's new company went viral...they had no idea that how life was going to change altogether from hence on.
