THE CEO AND ME!

Chapter 198 - MOVING ON WAS JUST NOT EASY...

Alice had been fired from her job. She did not want to but she had no choices.

After that night...last night when she had finally thought of making a move. She had a crush on that man...who would not?

His wife had gone MIA! She was probably not coming back ever again...so she thought of steeping in the line but it did not end well.

She packed her bags and get out of the room where she had been living for the past months ever since her employment.

Kian rolled his eyes on seeing her getting ready to leave. He was annoyed by her very sight of trying to make a move on a married man.

"I m leaving!"

Alice said, trying to get his attention. Kian did not utter a word and continued to read the newspaper, sipping on his cup of coffee, sitting in the living room.

"You should know that she is never coming back."

And that got Kian's attention. He dropped the newspaper on the table and set his eyes upon her.

"You need to move on."

"You are very daring to tell me to what to do after that stunt you pulled in last night..."

Kian spat and Alice tried to act that she was not afraid of him, standing ideal, not moving from her spot one bit.

"It was not just me..."

"Shut the fuck up! It was you. I could never kiss a low life like you..."

Kian stopped her from completing her line, whatever she was going to say. He was slowly breaking her self confidence.

"Do not ever fucking compare yourself to my wife...she is an heiress and my wife...what are you?? The servant of this house...was! So before I make your life more hell, get the fucking out of my sight...fucking get out!!"

He yelled the last part and Alice was out of his sight at the speed of light. He sighed at having to deal with such a drama in the very morning.

"She is never coming back!"

Those words kept ringing inside his head. He sat back down, not knowing what else he could do or not at that moment.

What if the maid knew things?? Something about Tinsley??

And now he had scared her away. There was no way in hell would she tell him about stuff.

He was so tired from trying to get at least even one hint of where she had been residing and he was unsuccessful so far even at that.

He had even checked up on her maternal house, Marshally's home back in Virginia. The old woman, Cecily was still alive and Tin was not there either.

He was losing his mind from thinking and thinking. He had started taking medicines to stay put and himself during the official meetings.

It had been hard ever since Madison resigned from her post of head General Advisor of the company. It had yet to complete a year.

Although she retained her stock. It was after a lot of negotiations, she had decided in selling it back to him.

He did not want to sell her back to him. He did not want to lose such an employee like her.

He knew that he had made their relationship awkward with everything that had happen in between them.

He had heard from John that she was planning to buy up a joint airbase and be her own boss this time.

He was happy with the progress she was making from starting as just a mere secretary to a stock owner and buying her own firm.

He had tried in every way to make her feel welcome in his company, but things had changed now.

And mostly her reason if leaving could be connected with Tinsley. She was not letting him know anything about her and working together, she knew that he could use that opportunity to use and find Tinsley.

Later, that evening, he had driven to Valeria's house to check up on her. He had heard she was not feeling too good. Lately, her health had been playing tricks with her.

The doctor life said that she was fine. Just a brief disorder at this stage of her age. It was normal.

They had dinner together and later had a desert together. Even though Valeria was to be kept away from the sweet surgery thing, she was not ready to set aside yet.

Kian let her have a little bit of it. And after talking about his childhood, they had a small laugh and later, he put her back to bed.

"Did you hear about her?"

Valeria finally asked as he tucked herself on the bed and Kian was a bit taken aback by her question.

He knew that he could never come to accept Tinsley. It was not easy after what had happened, what had she done in the past...even though she was a child.

"No, I did not, Valeria! And I know you must be happy about that."

Kian replied, not being angry at all. He understood her reason.

"I m never happy when you are not happy, Kian. Although, I believe that you could do so much better than her."

Valeria remarked, looking at her nephew, who looked miserable. He had dark circles around his eyes and his facial hair had grown too much.

"Do you even believe that, Valeria?? That I could do better than Tinsley??"

Kian mockingly asked. He knew that she was way out of his league. And it would always remain a mystery to him why she chose to stay even after everything he had put her through.

"Yes, you could...you can. You still can. Life does not stop because someone left, Kian, it always moves forward and I believe, you should not be stuck in one phrase...move on, you have so much to live upon..."

Valeria advised and Kian just pretended to listen to her. He knew that he was stuck for life if he could never find her.
