Chapter 793: Chapter 791-The Suffocating Truth.



Both Grace and Mira soon went on to talk with each other in a happy manner, the two of them talking about how things are going for them right now and the small details, quickly catching up as a family, with the main topic between the two being about Austin, their love for him leading to Austin being the main topic being talked about.

Of course, even then, the main thing came with the fact that how Fenrir had appeared within the place and had almost got their hearts ripped out. In fact, Mira should be very busy dealing with that stuff and making sure all the students are safe and secure, something that Grace also had to be done for.

Yet none of that had to take place because the more powerful ones within the whole Babylon academy took action, making sure to put out all the issues that were popping up around the city and especially within the academy. The old monsters in hiding took action from their sleep and thus gave a lot of free time for Mira to deal with.

Using her powers, it didn't take much to pull Grace out from all the working and patrolling the teachers had to do now, thus allowing for their quick meet, but that still didn't stop the two of them from adding that incident to the talk and fully understanding the depth of how much power a divine will be able to use.

"It would seem the world is really shifting, with another divine being back, the whole power structure at the highest level is bound to change."

Grace said with a frown on her face, to which Mira agreed, she, too, nodded her head seriously at it as she replied.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"I had always known there was a wide gap towards the divine, but this was on a whole another level. I thought for a moment that everything was over."

Grace took these words in as she replied.

"That's true. The first thing I did was call the kids and make sure they were okay, but this only proves that an age of turmoil will be soon upon us, and that is not good at all."

Mira nodded at it, the situation only going forth to enhance all the thoughts that were rumbling around in their heads. Even she, Mira, has still to recover from the news of what Austin had told her and then came this wolf that nearly ended everything for her. This gave her a new perspective on everything.

Just mere moments ago, she could have lost everything, thus rumbling and crying out in despair wasn't going to do anything. Mira would face everything head-on coming her way, just like she has always done it.

Some time ago, the two of them had already talked and agreed on how they would be taking care of Austin and the plans that had been set in motion to keep him safe. If Austin ever tried to jump into anything stupid, neither of the two would ever allow for Austin to be hurt. Thus, they have already set plans to make everyone, especially Austin, happy.

A huge alliance that shouldn't have happened due to the neutral position of the mage tower has already happened, with the two powerful women already having started the recruitment, standing and shifting of powers between each area, making sure to strengthen things that shouldn't normally be strengthened at all.

Even though Mira is from the Lionheart family, the moment she took on the role towards the next mage tower head, she has the responsibility of maintaining many things, and a position of neutral power should come around her such that she shouldn't go out of her way to help her family in any ways, or using the power of the mage tower to shift the balance of power.

Of course, the main oath for that, which will bind her to not use such powers, would be taken once she officially takes up the position of the mage tower head. For now, it's more of a power restriction, and if found out, it could fully ruin the position and power Mira had risen up into, yet without caring about that, the two of them had already started to amass more power.

The two women understood the fact that a person like Austin would be followed with trouble, and knowing the current political shifts happening all around the world, the two of them knew that they needed more than just their current individual power, a huge mass of multi- combat strength is needed to face the issues coming ahead.

And thus, the two of them broke the taboo and have now leaned into amassing so much power that the world in knowing about it will be shocked, and thus, it's normal for the two women who consider each other sisters to meet like this, normally before it was just to talk about their day-to-day.

Then it turned to complaining about Austin and how he is doing, and then it became to just boasting and talking around Austin. Now, it's more of a military power meeting to talk about how much power is being taken, how things are going, and to talk more about their future moves. Of course, even then, there will be the day-to-day talk, which will mostly come around finally to Austin.

But this time, Mira has something more in mind. Even now, Mira's heart yearns to tell Grace about the truth, the truth about the relationship she has with Austin. Lying and hiding it from everyone isn't a good thing at all, but Mira knows to look at the bigger picture for now, and now it's time to put some more truth into action.

"Speaking of Austin, I didn't know if I should tell you this or not, but there is something very wrong that Austin is going through right now."

Her words were tinged with a hint of despair, making Grace's eyes widen up as she looked questioningly at Mira, who, with a hesitant expression, started to speak.

"You remember the other two incidents when the academy shook?"

Her words made Grace think for a moment, after which she nodded her head. To this, Mira, seemingly holding onto Grace's hands, spoke.

"It happened due to the half-dragon Scarlet."

"Oh...I see, no wonder you kept it all hidden, though I suspected it as much. But what's the main thing here?"

Grace asked with narrowed eyes, to which Mira, taking a deep breath, started to speak.

"I did some research of mine on it, and having noticed some unnatural flow towards Austin, I found out the fact that the two times were actually related to Austin."

At these words, the temperature dropped, the gentle atmosphere disappearing as Grace left the whole gentle mother persona. Bloodlust and the sense of sharpness that surrounds a world-class leader started to surround Grace as she, with that serious face, spoke.

"Continue."

Seeing this, Mira, with a sigh, continued.

"Sigh...the thing is, it would seem that Austin is being forced to seemingly date Scarlet."

Hearing this, the whole temperature took a drop to another level. The bloodlust started to surround the room while the feeling of betrayal, sadness, and anger took over their heart of Grace, but she wasn't a young woman to jump at just the start of the words, and Grace knew more deep in her heart that whatever this was, it wasn't Austin betraying her and the family.

Though it was easy to think of and keep reminding of, Grace's heart still felt a prickle, and the humongous jealousy that should normally be hidden as she reserves it just for herself, thus with those dark emotions bubbling in her, Grace spoke.

"My son is being forced to...date?"

The question in her voice made it such that Mira started to speak.

"Don't be angry yet, just listen to the full story and then decide..."

With that, Mira started to talk about the story related to it and how it all came to be, at least the perspective she had come to understand from her talks with Austin. It went forth with Mira telling about how Austin first met her, the disguise as a guy, the two of them being friends, and the story continued to flow till he reached the academy.

From then on, Mira went towards the darker side of how Austin met Scarlet, talking about how surprised Austin was and their being friends, but Scarlet did not see that in those lights as she almost went ballistic, which was proven by the shaking of the academy, and then it also flowed with how Austin was forced into the whole dating thing.

Mira went forth to talk about how restrictions were placed upon him, how he was being forced to date, how if he didn't do it, it would bring harm to his family, about how he was barely bringing her along, being Scarlet's puppet lover in a sense, and about how many things they

had done.

And the more Grace heard, the more chilled her heart became, her face flashing with all the happy times she spent with her son, and then coming to understand that while he was giving love to them, he was holding back a whole dam to keep them happy and safe, which only made Grace's heart twist with so much sadness and guilt as she felt like ripping her heart out.

'While he gave us smiles, he was suffering from pressure himself.'

This thought only made Grace ripple through. The whole atmosphere shifted as Mira spoke about how she accidentally found out about it and how Austin didn't want this told, that he wanted to deal with this. She also went forth to even talk about how Austin fought against this and has been trying to keep Scarlet at bay.

All the stories only made Grace twist up on where she sat, filling her up with negative emotions to just rip apart the woman and feed her to the dogs.
