The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 195: Stimulants

Chapter 195: Stimulants

"Not at the moment I still haven't figured out what my primary weapon would be as I am very proficient in archery and the sword"

"I have also picked up arts that involves using the staff to familiarize myself with, thus I don't want to comprehend any weapon Dao at this point" Min Hong thought carefully as he replied

"There is also the Wind Dao which is as a result of my 'Dao Realm' attainment in my movement technique, but the problem about that is, I would only comprehend any elemental Dao, if I have already comprehended one that compliments its power or if there is a Dao which it compliments"

"And at this moment, the only elemental Dao I have comprehended is the Metal Dao, and they do not complement each other in any way"

"It would have been a perfect option if I had merged the Nihility Flame Essence and comprehended the strongest Flame Dao"

"That way I would have chosen the Wind Dao so that I can merge them together and form the strongest Dao of Inferno in existence" Min Hong explained

"Becoming a Sage is not as easy as you think it is, but I believe you can succeed in it, and if you can achieve that before you turn 15 years of age, then you would have been the youngest Sage I have known or heard about" Old Man Li commented

"So no weapon Dao, or Wind Dao or Flame Dao Then which one have you set your sights on?" Little Wu asked

"I already have my sights set on one but I do not have the necessary conditions required to comprehend the enlightenment I have gotten from it, and that is why I have come to see you two today, you guys are the only father figure I have at the moment and I know you always try every possible best to make sure I have the best and become the best"

Min Hong spoke with a little bit of subtle flattery and bootlicking but the sincerity within his statements drowned them all and as a result Old Man Li and Little Wu were emotionally moved as they both released a deep sigh simultaneously

"Tell us what it is?" Old Man Li looked up with determination in his eyes as he asked

"It is the Dao of Darkness" Min Hong replied and only received about five minutes of deafening silence as an initial response

"Comprehending a new Dao is always easier if you had a little bit of enlightenment before you begin, and since you claim to already have one, then I guess we can skip that part and move on to the next most important item you need..."

"It is something called; The stimulant!" Old Man Li mentioned before explaining further;

"Stimulants comes in various forms"

"For some it is just simple environmental conditions, for others they need to be in the midst of a blood-roiling battle for that to happen, and there be also some who needs to be placed in a life threatening situations before the Dao can be stimulated within them" Old Man Li added...

"Do you know what your stimulant is?" He asked

"I have not thought about that yet-"

"So you don't know" Min Hong's sentence was completed by Little Wu...

"Comprehending a new Dao is a completely different matter when compared with simply raising the Plane of your Dao" Little Wu added

"Every new Dao has different types of stimulant, but which to use is dependent on the cultivator themselves"

"Furthermore, you cannot use simple environmental conditions for a cultivator that needs battle experience, it might take half of such cultivators lifetime to comprehend the Dao, likewise you cannot use a life threatening conditions for a cultivator who only needs simple environmental conditions, such a cultivator might die before he can even begin his comprehension process" Old Man Li explained before adding;

"But for your previous five Daos, can you explain how you came to comprehend them" He asked as Min Hong went deep in thoughts as he recalled how he embarked on the comprehension process of every of his Daos step by step before summarizing;

"For the Oblivion and Chaos Dao, I was given an orb by the 'great creator' which I sent my soul force into and was taken to a separate dimension where I had my test Little Wu also helped me with the Primus Dao test which focused on my emotions"

"As for the Metal Dao, it was during one of the trials in the 'Pagoda of Ascension' back when I was still at the Peak of Qi Sea stage"

"It was a massive metal ore that fell from the sky like an asteroid and after managing to split it in half, I eventually got buried in the core of the remaining half which was where I comprehended the Metal Dao"

Min Hong summarized to the trio in front of him waiting for their verdict on what seems to be his stimulant

"Then lastly, I acquired a Space Dao recently that is still in the concept level and it happened whilst I was within a death match and I surpassed the limits of my movement technique" Min Hong ended his explanation

"I never knew your stimulant in cultivation would also be the same for your Dao"

"You might act cowardly and fearful sometimes, but it is also the very reason you are successful in comprehending and cultivating any technique or Dao, because you are easily pushed to the limits"

"But in the end, you always manage to evolve and surpass your limits rather than to fold or break" Little Wu murmured audibly

"Alright then from all you have narrated and his comment just now, I can see that your best stimulants are the combination of life threatening environmental conditions and intense battle experience, and as for that, I have the perfect place that gives the extremities of both stimulants"

When Old Man Li spoke to this point, he looked into Min Hong's eyes with a serious and solemn gaze before adding;

"This place might claim your life even if you are very careful it is a place full of wraiths, vengeful souls, ghosts and many different undead species of previously living beings which are extremely violent and aggressive"

"It is called the; Valley of the Undead"

Old Man Li uttered the name with a grim expression and Min Hong could sense just from that alone that whatever that 'Valley Of The Undead' was, is a soul creeping, spine tingling and nightmare inducing place
