The Tale Of Kitsuna

Chapter 128

Chapter 128

“Is everything ready?” Kayda asked, seeing me walk up to her.

“Yeah, most of it is. I just activated the fence, and I explain what to do.” I said, nodding, walking past her away from everyone.

“That’s good to hear, but you said you were going to take care of the rock seekers. How will you do that?” Kayda said, following me without a second thought.

“ah yes, you will see. mana, please.” I said, coming to a stop halfway to the slims stretching my hand out towards her.

“sigh, you really need to get your mana up or a regeneration skill for it,” Kayda said, a bit annoyed.

“yes, yes, miss sage. You never know I might get to level 50 after tonight.” I said, smiling at her.

“that might actually happen. Devil related things give an insane amount of experience.”

“oh, I didn’t know that. I just thought that I would be the one that will kill the most thralls, and there will be a lot of them.” I said, shrugging.

.....

“you aren’t wrong about that. For some reason, the system hates devils hence the extra experience. Oh, and got to say that fence is a great idea to hold them back and kill them.” Kayda said, gesturing at the fence over her shoulder.

“Yeah, I just hope it holds up. Especially the opposite side from here. I can’t really see what’s going on there.” I said with a thoughtful look.

“don’t worry too much about that. I will be there for backup.”

“True, true, then I have no worries,” I said, tapping my foot on the ground making a pillar of ice come out of the ground under us.

“you going to use your guns?” Kayda said, looking down at the pillar under her.

“Yeah, but they don’t hold on so good, so I might need a refill some time if this goes on for hours,” I said, shaking my head.

“Okay, just shout if you need me then.”

“will do,” I said, smiling at her happily.

“oh yeah, I have been wondering, but why hasn’t the summon started yet? That fire came out like 3 hours ago.”

“I don’t really know, but I think it’s like ruffling a hornet’s nest.”

“you don’t mean?” Kayda said with a heavy expression.

“jip exactly that,” I said, nodding.

“you want to send someone in there to get killed, and that will activate the summoning,” Kayda said, sounding very doubtful.

“Yeah, don’t you guys have any criminals close by? Send them in.” I said, not caring too much about the deaths.

“but they will lose their souls.”

“yeah, get rapist. They don’t deserve to reincarnate,” I said, glaring at nothing.

“...sigh, I will go ask the guild master,” Kayda said, jumping off the little tower of ice.

“Okay, now I need to get ready,” I said, crouching. I brought my hands in front of me.

Closing my eyes, I started making a sniper in my hands made out of ice.

‘tch, this is going to take a while.’ I thought, feeling some cracks in the form of the gun.

Break!

“This is fucken hard! Why is it so much harder to make a sniper, but the handgun worked?” I said, annoyed.

Taking my ice handgun from the storage, I started inspecting it.

“I was able to create this after a few weeks and a lot of studying the princesses gun. Hmm, do I actually need those twins to make one so I can study it?” I mumbled, thinking to myself.

“hey, Kitsu, the guild master said he has a couple of people that fit the category you said and wanted to know how many will be needed,” Kayda said, suddenly appearing behind me, giving me a slight fright.

“... I think just one is fine, but bring all of them in case. I will make a small jail at the bottom of this tower to lock them up.” I said calmly.

“Okay, hmm, are you struggling?” Kayda said, seeing the shattered ice in front of me.

“yeah, it seems I can’t make a sniper with my ice yet.”

“A sniper?”

“you know guns that are made for long-range.”

“ooh, so you want to make a bigger handgun with your ice. But didn’t it take you really long to make a handgun, and it doesn’t even work properly.”

“yes, I thought it would be easy to just work from that, but it isn’t even possible for me, but I guess I will need to make a railgun. At least I know how to do that.”

“Rail... railgun? You don’t mean that thing you used when you blow up the mountain that one time.”

“Nah, that was an accident. We don’t talk about it.” I said, waving her off while looking away.

“Okay, whatever, just don’t kill innocent people.”

“I will do that.”

“uh-huh, see to it then,” Kayda said, jumping off again.

“sigh, at least rail guns are easier to make. Well, big ones are the small mobile ones are fucken hard

to do.” I said, annoyed. Standing up after putting everything away.

“wait, is this going to. Augh fuck, this going to use much mana!”

[Kayda Pov]

“Yo guild master Kitsuna said to get all of them. she will make a jail cell at the bottom of that tower there to keep them.” I said, walking up to the guild master and gesturing towards the ice tower Kitsu made.

“Does she want to kill all of them?”

“I don’t know, but don’t think so.”

“Hmm, sorry to disturb, but if that summoning will only activate when it gets a soul, why don’t we just leave it be then.” An adventurer said, walking closer to us.

“...”

“...”

“...”

“he one of your newbies?” I asked, looking at the guild master.

“no, his name is Timothy, and he is actually a veteran. A disappointing one, it seems.” The guild master said, looking at Timothy like he was dumb.

“yeah,” I said, nodding at him, not really seeing proof that he was a veteran.

“I see. You explain to him why. Your problem anyways.”

“well, timothy, it is true that we can actually leave it as is, but then again, it might activate on its own, and we won’t be prepared like we are now.” The guild master explains calmly.

“But we might also be more prepare and not risking all our hope on a demon fox with no class,” Timothy said, but when he mentioned Kitsu, he glanced at me, who was glaring at him.

“sigh, I fully agree with you, but do you have any idea who or what has caused this?” The guild master said, sighing.

“...”

“thought so. She knows the most about what is going on, sadly.” The guild master said, sounding very disappointing.

“what about her then,” Timothy said a bit louder, pointing at me.

“I don’t know.” The guild master said, just glancing at me before looking away.

“What the fuck. You guys are talking like I am not even here. Should I cook you, or do you want to talk to Kitsu?” I said, annoyed, glaring at both of them with killing intent.

VRRRRRRR

Boom!

“What the heavens were that!?” The guild master said, looking towards the explosion. That happens to be the fortress.

“Hehe, I guess the fortress is destroyed,” I said, laughing while looking at the fortress with a giant hole in it.

“Wah...what was that?” The guild master said, look back at me.

“that was a railgun shot,” I said, shrugging looking towards the ice tower where there was a new structure made on top of it.

It was a lot smaller than the first time Kitsu made a railgun in the forest. Even if I say it is smaller, the barrel itself was 3 meters long square shape. Looking into the barrel, you could see there were multiple modified mana conductors on all sides, running black lightning around them.

“I wonder what she used for bullets?” I said, thinking out loud.

“that thing is dangerous,” Timothy said, staring wide-eyed at the railgun.

“no shit, timothy, that thing ripped a hole into something we couldn’t do anything to.” The guild master said, annoyed and a bit afraid.

“Now, who would you guys have a proper talk with? The one with a giant gun or the cool and collected dragon?” I said, smiling friendly at them. Seeing the shiver, I smiled even brighter.

“I will be going,” Timothy said, walking away speedily.

.....

“thought so,” I said, giving him another glare.

“How can she make something like that out of ice.” The guild master asked, intrigued.

“no idea, actually. All I taught her is mana control.” I said, shrugging.

“She must be good if she can make something like that work,” he said, nodding at himself.

“hmm, she is average, I guess,” I said, remembering how bad her mana control actually is.

“your average isn’t normal.”

“her sister should be better than her by now, though.”

“She has a sister, and she might be better?”

“oh, don’t worry, Kitsu is the stronger one between the two. Not that Amari will fall far behind knowing who her parents are.” I said, shrugging.

“accuse me, but who order the little criminals?” A joyous cheeky voice said coming from behind me.

Turning around, I looked at a bunny girl wearing a full set of armour with brown with black dots hair standing at 1.6m. while dragging 7 people in chains behind her on the ground.

The funny thing was that the bunny girl was alone and didn’t seem to be struggling to drag the 7 grownups on the floor.
