Chapter 89
Chapter 89:
(Kayda POV)
It was a normal day, or the start was. It all changed when we went on that damn quest. fucken orcs ruining my time with Kitsuna. She also found out about her personality changing. Thanks for the dumb angel. I wish I could already kill her. Well, I should also say thank you because of her I will have 6 months with Kitsuna. All I need to do is prepare everything for us. Then we can go.
That is what I did. I prepared everything, bought everything we might need, and was flying back to the mansion to let Stacy know I got everything ready. That was the plan, but when I landed outside the main gate that was dented and destroyed on the ground. I wanted to run in to see everything was fine, but just when I was about to, I saw Dean and Earl Everstern with his wife stand at the entrance of the mansion standing looking towards me with pale faces. Actually, they were looking to the right of me.
Confused at their expression, I looked to the right only to see Kitsuna fighting 3 Stacy’s?
“What is going on here?” I said, looking around again. Looking back at the fight, I saw the real Stacy giving a right hook to Kitsuna that barely blocked it with her forearms. Sadly, that wasn’t enough to not make her go flying.
Panic at the flying Kitsuna. I wanted to and catch her, but before I could make it, I saw a slab of ice coming out of the ground in the path Kitsuna was flying at. Moving her body, she lands on the ice wall before jumping back towards Stacy. In the momentum and power she used when she jumped, the ice wall broke apart, sending some ice boulders backward towards newly planted plants.
Feeling irritated, I got in between them, grabbing both of their arms before throwing them into the ground.
Boom!
.....
“That’s enough. This is not a training ground!” I yelled, looking down at them.
“Huh, oh Kayda, welcome back.” Stacy first said before getting up, sitting cross-legged on the ground.
“Ugh, why did you have to spoil our fun?” Kitsuna said, looking back up at me with a deflated expression.
“Fun? you guys destroyed half of the entrance of the mansion. do you know how long this will take to repair without the self-repair spell?” I explain, grabbing Kitsuna by the ear.
“OW, ow! that hurts, Kayda. Let go, please. You are going to rip it off.” Kitsuna pleads, yelping in pain.
“Hehe, get her, Kayda. She started it,” Stacy said, cheering with her arms.
“I started it. Who called me dumb first, old hag?” Kitsuna said, glaring at Stacy.
“Who wants to feel a scorch spell up their ass first,” I said, glaring at them.
“No, thanks.” They both yelled, getting paler by the second, seeing a small scorch ball in my free hand.
“Good, now sit and explain what is going on,” I said, letting go of Kitsuna, who didn’t waste any time sitting down.
“Well, when you told me about Kitsuna, finding out about her personality problem. I panicked. Luckily, I was a couple of hours out from the capital, so I didn’t take long to get here. When I finally arrived, I saw Kitsuna walking towards the main gate. thinking she was about to run away, I intercepted her only to find out she was planning to walk towards your room but instead, she was walking towards you, hehe.” Stacy explains, having a teasing smirk on her face making me blush a bit.
“Well, after that, we talked a bit. In the end, some insults were said, and that’s how we ended up fighting with each other.” Kitsuna said, finishing with a rare smile.
“Oh, so it was nothing major,” I said, nodding before looking around again. Seeing how destroyed the front of the mansion was, I looked back at them. “I take that back. This is major. look at all the damage you guys caused.” I said, only to be ignored.
“Hey, Kitsuna, I loved the fight we just had. It was so much fun. you were way more fun to fight with instead of that serious Kitsuna you always have when we spar.” Stacy said happily, like a small child.
“Hmm, is that so. I am glad.” Kitsuna said, not losing her smile while leaning forward before falling face-first on the ground. “It’s great you enjoyed it. I did, too, but I am out of everything. I am going to sleep here for now,” Kitsuna mumbled before driving off to dreamland.
“Geez, this child of mine sleeping on the floor like this,” Stacy said, petting Kitsunas’ head.
“Doesn’t she always sleep on the ground?” I said, looking down at the mother and daughter combo.
“I said like this. It does not include her fox form. Anyway, help me get her into a bed.” Stacy said, standing up.
“Why should I. it’s your fault she is like this.”
“Whose wife is this?” Stacy said, tilting her head.
“...” Not saying anything, I grabbed Kitsunas’s right arm and put it around my shoulders before standing up straight again.
“Thought so,” Stacy said, wanting to take the other side but realize she is way too short to be of any help.
“Hey, are you going to help?” I said, looking at her, annoyed.
“Hehe, I think I just saw Kitsunas’ ears twitch. She might have heard me talk about you two. Guess I am going to disappear.” Stacy said before running away at her top speed.
“Kitsuna, are you really awake,” I said, looking hesitantly at the sleeping fox I was holding up. not getting any reply, I sighed before getting annoyed again. “Making an excuse like that because she is too short to help carry her own daughter.”
(Kitsuna POV)
“Can’t believe I slept for 2 days after the fight,” I said, stretching my arms out, still sitting in bed while Lily was standing at the side. Looking at Lily, I continue. “So, what happened in the last 2 days that I missed.”
“You delayed your departure with Kayda. Catrina is bedridden at the moment because of over exhaustion.”
“ha-ha, they went too hard on her, huh,” I said, laughing.
“Oh, one non-important thing. Earl Everstern asked forgiveness for their shameless behavior the other day.”
“Non-important? Ha-ha, they probably saw the fight I had with my mother. that should have scared them to death.” I said while climbing out of bed.
“Yes, your right. They even walked home just to get away from you.” Lily said, grinning.
“Why, didn’t they come with their car?”
“That’s the thing. The driveway is full of your ice, and they couldn’t drive over it.”
“They can’t? How useless are the cars then?” I said, looking at Lily with a raised eyebrow.
“Kitsuna, there are ice walls and boulders all over the place. Not even horses will be able to walk there easily,” Lily said, sounding annoyed.
“Oh, ha-ha, sorry, I will take care of it later,” I said, scratching the back of my head awkwardly.
“That will be nice of you,” Lily said, bowing before taking her to leave.
“It feels like that was her plan from the beginning,” I said, walking into the bathroom.
“Aah fuck, I still need to interrogate Brad before I leave!” I shouted, running out of the bathroom while putting my combat clothes on using dimensional storage. Running out on the balcony, I jumped off and headed toward Apricot to use her illusional eyes.
2 hours later.
“To think the list will be this full,” I said, looking at a stack of papers Brad wrote out after I brought his ‘family’ in.
“Don’t tell me they are all black ops soldiers.” Mom said worriedly.
“No, these are mostly other soldiers or underground workers. However, there are about 30 people here that are black ops soldiers.” I said, handing the stack over to her.
“30? that’s still a lot to get from one person.”
“True. Oh, you guys can use the dungeon while I am gone to interrogate some more people. I did reinforce the walls and everything. It should withstand about 6000 strength now. Apricot will still be here if something happens with the illusion on it. I also killed the duke don’t want him to die while I am gone.” I said, putting one hand on Apricot’s head, who was standing next to me.
“6000? that’s a good improvement.”
“Yeah, I don’t know why but I never thought about using my old-world methods in this one yet,” I said, annoyed at myself.
“Is that so.” Mom said, not looking up from the paper.
“You see anyone that you trusted?”
“Ha-ha, that’s an understatement. I know all of them, and 3 of them are Commanding Specialist.” Mom said, looking nervously at the papers. Looking up at me, she asked. “Are you sure they are traitors?”
“No, these are the names I got from Brad just now. I don’t know if they are or not. That is up to you.” I said, making her look down at the papers again.
“Okay, thank you, and do take care on your trip. I don’t want to come and save you in the middle of things.” Mom said, walking away, not waiting for a reply.
“Poor bastard is going to get it,” I mumbled with a small grin.
“What do you mean they are going to get it, Mom,” Apricot said, looking at me.
“Well, my mother isn’t very nice to traitors, and having the ice dungeon will make it worse for them. On another note, could you stop calling me that? Why don’t you just call me big sis or something? Mom sounds like I am old.” I said, looking back at her.
“No,” was all Apricot said before leaving me as well.
“Stubborn dog,” I muttered before walking towards the main gate to leave on my trip with Kayda.
