The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 62: 62:Beginning Of The Era Of Next Gen

[Make Darpan Biswas pay and show him whom he has messed with.]

[Rewards: 10,000 SP, Skill Level Up that can be used below Professional has been given.]

Evan had done exactly what the system had asked him, earning himself a skill level-up card that he saved for the future. He didn't want to use it hastily only to regret it in the future.

...

Meanwhile, Maria flipped through the files one after another, sighing heavily.

Desperation was evident on her face; she felt she was going crazy.

"Damn! Why is our luck so bad? There's always trouble following us one after another," Maria grumbled, resisting the urge to tear the files before her.

"He trusted me and I can't even do a damn job properly. If I had been careful and worked things thoroughly, this wouldn't have happened. All of this is my fault."

Maria blamed herself for the problems happening around her.

Since she was the one who was now charged with Teabox Cafe's overall business, it was her responsibility to oversee everything.

She wondered if her poor control had led people to have their thoughts astray. Though Evan said it was a third party forging the reports, what if it was their fault?

What if someone planted something and they just couldn't find it?

Then being in charge, wasn't it her fault for not being able to control things?

She genuinely wanted to help Evan.

Partly out of pity, and partly out of admiration.

When she first met Evan and learned about what was happening to him, she wondered how someone could look forward to the future with such a troubled past dragging him down.

Meanwhile, she always sank straight into depression thinking what if something bad happened. And despite the gloomy aura always around him, if one talked with him, they could feel the hope and aspirations in his tone and see how hard he worked for a better life.

After classes, he used to take two odd jobs and even delivered newspapers in the early morning to pay fees.

Despite needing money, he never took a crooked path.

So why the hell was his luck so bad?

"Wait! Maybe, I am the unlucky one dragging him down."

Just as Maria was pondering things, her mobile rang.

"Evan!"

Seeing his name, she immediately picked up the call.

[Maria, the trouble is over. We have the pass!]

"Huh! What?"

Maria's mind blurred for a moment.

Is this guy joking?

How did the problem get solved by itself out of nowhere? They hadn't even given the bribe.

"Evan, are you pulling a prank on me?"

[No, why would I? Do you think I have time to waste time on you? Besides, that bastard won't be troubling us now, so it's time to steer ahead.]

Maria felt as if she was dreaming, but the next moment, she was slapped awake with a crazy amount of joy.

She wanted to scream but controlled himself.

"I understand...I will resume the operation quickly but the public opinion..."

[Don't worry, I will take care of that...]

Evan's gleeful voice echoed from the other side as he discussed his ideas.

During the downtime, they hadn't been remaining ideal. With their free time, Maria and Celina had looked for outlets to expand the new franchise and everything had been prepared.

Now, with the last hurdle cleared, it was time to unveil Indra's own biggest drink corporation.

_____

On the other side, Evan breathed a sigh of relief as things finally turned the way he was looking forward.

He opened the panel to check the amount of SP, which had reached a staggering number of 80k.

This boost didn't come from the completion of the quest but from the download of his app.

His app had been downloaded by 600K people and boasted a rating of 4.9. Aside from a few brain-dead, who gave less rating due to the background and design, now it didn't matter to Evan.

With this SP, Evan could buy a blueprint but for now, he knew that it would be wasted since he still had no preparations. So instead of letting it rot, it was time to use it effectively.

Leaving the 10,000 aside, he used the rest to buy Spirit Vitalizing Tea. The 1,200 kg was enough to last for a month, or two if he used it conservatively.

This gave him enough time to finalize the tea farm project.

The Teabox cafe was already set to launch itself as a brand and with no obstacles for the time being, Evan planned to go ahead with the launch.

With sufficient funds, he could even consider looking for an advertising agency; however, Evan already had a shortcut in mind.

He had already asked Maria to contact the Suri Agency. Although he had her number and she had asked him to call her in case of trouble, they weren't that close to doing so.

And it was better to keep things professional in order to avoid any misunderstanding and incur others' irks.

Things about NexGen innovations had already been completed.

The first team, consisting of 13 core people, had been personally hired by Aria.

Although Aria might not be good at business management, she had a keen eye for hiring talent thanks to someone who had already worked in that field and also as a teacher with some experience.

Along with that, Evan needed to launch the premium version of his app and complete the quest before the deadline.

His previous launch was successful, but it wasn't enough to cause a huge sensation because it still hadn't achieved widespread attention.

It was already a good start that he had reached such a number without any advertisement as this spoke of his skill by itself, but if he wanted to go further, he needed to draw more attention.

On the other hand, he had already developed the modules for CodeZipper along with their set pricing:
