She scowled before saying "I was Nine when I figured out what my family was. At Eleven years old, I was learning to shoot my first gun. By Fourteen, I was being homeschooled in college algebra, drug cartels, and at my father's insistence, hand-to-hand combat. By seventeen, I knew the business like the back of my hand. Long Jie couldn't decide whether to be impressed or be angry. How could Xin Yichen push her only daughter in their dark and filthy world? She deserved to be worship at home instead of tainted with the darkness of that world.

The lawyer cleared his throat as if to tell that he was in the room too. The lawyer didn't know whether to discuss the contract or run for his life.

"Take it or leave I'm not desperate to marry you anyway."Zhenyi folded her her hands on her chest and said.

"You might not be desperate Xin zhenyi but you are compelled to marry me just like I'm." Long Jie refuted.

" I will accept your condition my dear fiance" Long Jie smirked. 'You might have won this round zhenyi but at the end of the game, I would be the winner' he thought to himself.

Since she proposed the first term it was his turn to put forward next . He had to give her the credit, it was an intelligent idea to negotiate the terms and conditions because they had to spend the rest of their lives together. Spend the rest of life with her, it was not a niggling thought anymore for Long Jie. Instead, he was looking forward to it, seemed like his monotonous life was going to be more colorful and intriguing.

"My first condition is that you have to standby me in my every decision. You just can't go against me in front of my family. "

" I'm not a sycophant, Long Jie. I just can't agree with whatever you say. We are on an equal foot in this bloody marriage" she glared at him. What a dumb condition! If he thought she would agree to his silly condition he had another thing waiting for him.

" I'm not asking you to approve what I say Zhenyi. I'm just saying, in front of my family you are supposed to stand on my side, not against me. We are one. We are surely on the same footing, You don't go against me and I don't go against you. But when we are alone, you can fight or shout as much as you like. I won't refrain you leashing out"

"Did I?" He asked her. The woman was infuriating. Always looking for a fight.

" You are asking too much. I can't follow you blindly long Jie.", Xin Zhenyi told him simply ignoring his earlier comment.

"Really I'm asking too much? Didn't I concede to your first condition? Be reasonable Woman. "

" You bastard, you chauvinist, you are literally saying I'm an unreasonable woman?"

"Of course you are. That's why you are fighting over this, without even giving it a proper thought. "

"You are an unreasonable bastard. Your whole family is unreasonable. Your entire clan is unreasonable."

They glared at each other until a voice broke out.

" Young miss, Mr. long are we continuing it?"

" Think carefully, Xin Zhenyi I will be the head of the family. If my wife won't respect and support my decisions do you think others will respect my decisions? If they won't respect my position then will they respect you? Remember we are on equal foot?" He threw the bait. Such a power loving woman his to be wife was.But he didn't mind.

"Whatever!"

"I'm not an irrational person I won't ask you to support my absurd decisions. It's your duty as my wife to correct me if I'm wrong." Long Jie said after some time. He was getting a smart wife instead of dumb one. Although he had preferred the latter one, but now that he was getting the former one, he decided to utilise her properly.

Now she was silent. Good lord, the woman was getting on his nerves. He turned his eyes in her direction to find her deep in thinking.

Sigh! Either he would lose his brain cell before marriage or she would make sure to burn them with her nasty attitude.

"So, is it final?" The lawyer asked carefully. He was afraid that if he asked more it would result in another argument again

"Yes, it's yes from her" Long Jie replied and she glared at her. He answered back with a sweet smile. Take it baby!
