The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

"Stop running the wheels of your smart brain, my little fox," Long Jie murmured into her ears. She turned her head to look at him innocently. He couldn't help but peck her nose. "Why do I have a feeling that you love money more than me?" 

"Who doesn't love money?" Zhenyi questioned him back. "You see, if I don't have money, I won't be able to feed you. So, what's the harm if I love money a little more than you?" 

"No harm, wife. No harm. Just don't leave me for a bundle of cash." 

On the other hand, Long Shaoming continued announcing, oblivious of the little romance going under the table. 

"As for Long Jie, as the head of the clan and the head of the LG, the 30% shares that I have in Long cooperation belongs to you. So, nobody would be able to challenge your authority." 

Well, it was what Long Jie had expected for a long time. He was aware that he would be the inheritor of the LG but hadn't fathomed that he would get this many shares. To say he was not pleased would be an utter lie. 

"As you all know, the Long family had 52% shares in LG. 30% went to Long Jie, 5% went to Yuan and 2% will go to Wei's child. But none of you know that I have been watching over another 10% of shares. Around thirty years ago, many shareholders turned their back on our family and sold their shares at a very low price to someone who they believed was conspiring against the family. Since Long Shen has his own 5 percent of shares. He could pass it down to anyone he desires and whenever he wishes to." 

Long Jie Knew that apart from the family, there was someone else who owned 10%percent shares --the second-biggest shareholder apart from him. But none of the shareholders ever met that person. His father had asked him when he took over the company to never investigate the matter as he had got it in his control. 

However, his curiosity was never satisfied. And now that his father had mentioned those shares in the meeting tonight. He was utterly shocked. 

"Now as for those Ten percent shares-- they were purchased by my late brother Long Ah-Shaan," said Long Shaoming, shocking everyone present in the room. 

Gasps and murmurs were heard. Everyone was looking at each other's faces. They just couldn't believe their ears. 

Truly, Long Ah-Shaan's name was considered taboo in the family. 

What was the meaning of taking Long Ah-Shaan's name in the meeting? He was dead and disowned by the Longs. So, why was he discussed today? 

"Long Shaoming why didn't you ever tell me?" Elder Long's voice contains both anger and remorse. He couldn't believe that his dead son still had the shares of the LG under his name. So, what if they were purchased by him?

When Long Ah-Shaan left the family he gave the 5% shares which he got at his wedding as a gift from his parents to Song Lily. It was his method of apologizing to Song Lily for the sins he had committed. What could he do? He was just a man in love. 

"Shaoming, why did you hide it from us?" Grandma Mian asked Long Shaoming. Her eyes turned red with unshed tears. She threw a glare in Song Lily's direction and a look of disdain in her husband's. She hated both of them. 

"You never asked, Father," Long Shaoming said with a sigh. "You said you had nothing to do with LG anymore. And mom, I never intended to hide it from anyone. He asked me to watch over his shares until he comes back. But only the news of his death came. Telling you all that I'm still watching over his shares would have caused you great pains. I didn't want to scratch the wounds that had recently healed." 

Zhenyi glanced at her husband, an unknown glint was visible in his eyes. She didn't know what he was thinking but he clearly was not alright. 

"Jie, you are okay?" Zhenyi asked him with a worried expression on her face. 

"I don't know why but Long Ah-Shaan's topic always makes me nervous. Sometimes I feel like I know him very closely yet at the same time, he is someone unknown to me," Long Jie told him. 

Zhenyi's thoughts went back to the picture of Long Ab-Shaan that she had seen in the villa. 

"Do you know what Long Ah-Shaan looked like?"Zhenyi questioned him. 

" I don't," came a simple reply. 

"Do you want to know what he looked like?" Zhenyi asked him after a while. 

"Have you seen him?" Long Jie turned his head to look at her. 

Zhenyi nodded. "I have his picture on my phone. If you want to see him, I will show you the picture tonight. But I will advise you to not look at his picture until I'm sure." 

"Why?" Long Jie questioned him as he furrowed his brows. 

"Because it's going to give rise to a lot of confusion. It will end up breaking our home, Jie," came a sad reply. 

On the other hand, Grandma Mian questioned, "Who will those Shares will be passed on to?" 

"His successor," came the reply much to everyone's shock. 

"You are not surprised," Zhenyi asked Long Jie as she saw his indifferent expression. 

"Bà confirmed that I have a cousin. He/she was raised by your mother after Long Ah-Shaan died," Long Jie replied to Zhenyi. 

"I can't believe it. Why on earth does my mom have to shove her leg everywhere? I mean almost 90% of the suspense in our lives are directly/indirectly related to her," Zhenyi groaned."I get it she was Long Ah-Shaan's best friend. I even heard that Aunt Jia, mom and Long Ah-Shaan were crazy kind of best friends. But raising the child of Longs especially when she is dad's wife? It doesn't fit well." 

"You have been investigating Long Ah-Shaan for a long time now. You should know it," Long Jie told her with a shrug."Next time you decide to play thief at the dead of the night, you better tell me first."

Zhenyi blinked continuously at him. 

Long Jie poked her nose with his finger. "You are too cute, Zhenyi." 

On the other side….

"What are you saying, Shaoming?" Grandma Miam whispered as the meaning of words registered in her mind. 

"Just trust me, mom," Long Shaomimg said with a sad smile. 

"Everyone, these 10 percent shares will be given to Long Ah-Shaan's only successor…."
