The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

"Are you done?" Alcina indifferently said. "Is this how you used to scare people in the past? I must say Xin Yichen is better than you. At least, people still cower before him. My poor brother, he still thinks you gave him the position because he fulfilled the end of his bargain by marrying Xin Zhenyi." Alcina scoffed. "That Tang Reine, do you know what sacrifices I had to make sure she persuades her husband to fix this infamous wedding between Zhenyi and Long Jie? The woman is a devil, I must tell you. And I made a deal with the devil."

Well, this was the greatest shock Long Shaoming had received in his whole life. Damm, just how old was she to play these mind games with him? 

Alcina didn't just fool Long Shaoming and Xin Yichen. She had fooled the two clans. The wedding conspiracy was started by her when Tang Reine took her under her camp. She and Tang Reine were what you call great enemies. They were always at each other's necks. 

If Xins and Long think that they were smart, they haven't met Alcina yet, the mastermind of the plan. 

She made Grandma Mian force Long Shaoming fix the wedding between Long Jie and Zhenyi. The old lady gave the reason that it was for the benefit of two clans who were fighting for nothing. The old lady was so devastated by the death of her son that Long Shaoming couldn't refuse. He looked for the perfect timing to persuade Xin Yichen to agree to this engagement and the opportunity came after Tang Reine's death.

As for who persuaded the old lady and Elder Xin about the wedding arrangement was the story of another time. It's enough, for now, to know that Alcina was deep-rooted into these conspiracies. 

"How?" The word escaped Long Shaoming's mouth as he was at a loss for words due to the intensity of the shock. 

Alcina scoffed and waved her hand. "It had nothing to do with you. But I must tell you not to test my patience. You see, I have no enmity with you guys. I simply hate you and wish to see you dead. That's all."

On the other side. 

"ALCINA!!" 

Alcina turned back only to see the person she hadn't expected to meet. If it was another day, she might as well be excited or perhaps a little happy to see but all she felt right now was a headache coming. 

Looking straight again, she kept walking as if she hadn't heard anyone's voice at all.

A tight hold on her arms twirled her to look back. 

"I said stop right there."

And Alcina stopped. She took a deep breath because she needed lots of patience and power to tolerate such torment.

"What do you think you are doing? You know Long's will bury you alive if you go back there. Do you not understand such a simple fact that you shouldn't go back there?" 

Could she just punch this nonsense human being? Or should she just walk ahead without any care?

"Where is the tongue of yours that is as long as the great wall of China?" 

Now Alcina couldn't hold back anymore. She said fiercely. "Who do you think you are to order me around? The Long family is my dad's family. Those people hold my billions. I'm a poor woman right now. I need money to fill my and my daughter's stomach." 

"Just how much money do you need? Take everything that I have. Just don't go there. They will kill you." 

'Did I just see fear in your eyes?' Alcina wanted to ask.

"I do not fear death. I'm a woman out on a mission. When I chose this path, I knew there were only two outcomes. Either I die or I get what I want. So, you need not worry. If something happens to me, you better take care of my daughter." 

Alicina's stubbornness knew no bounds. She was a proud woman. She would die before accepting defeat. Death was not something she feared. But dying before clearing her father's name was something she couldn't stop thinking over. Her daughter would still live a happy and carefree life even if she died. So, the only goal she had in her life couldn't be attained until she was a Long. 

"I urge you, Alcina, just go back." 

"No one wants me," She let out a sad smile. She got her daughter back but her daughter was still looking for her dad and uncles. "My own daughter doesn't want me. She only wants her dad. Tell me what I do?"

"I beg you, Alcina." 

Alcina attempted to be humorous but failed miserably."Aiya, this great king also needs to beg to a mere subject like me?"

"You know that's true. You are the only one who can bring me to my knees." 

"Ah?" Alcina's eyes widened. She hadn't expected a serious reply. She narrowed her brows and while pointing her fingers, she asked," Could it be that you also have fallen in love with me? Oh, sorry. I forgot it's not possible in this life. I may have to be reincarnated again." 

"Don't turn the course of conversation. Think about Faye, who's going to take care of her god forbid if something happens to you?"

"She has got wonderful uncles to take care of her. I'm not worried about that. But it's time I go back to my roots," said Alcina with a sigh." I need to make everything right for my daughter's sake." 

"You're making a mistake." 

"To err is to be human," Alcina replied with a shrug. 

"Stop being philosophical." 

"You rubbed it on me." Alcina stood on her tiptoes and kissed his lips before saying, "I know you will take care of me even though you won't show it like others. So, I'm not worried for my life." She started moving forward, "Take care of my life. And don't worry, you won't fall in love with me. Remember the doors to our hearts are locked and the keys are still missing?" 

"Goodbye," Alcina whispered before fading in the darkness. When she asked him to take care of her life she didn't mean it literally. 

"You are still an idiot, Cia. Or should I call you a blind?" whispered a lonely soul before vanishing in the darkness of the night.
