The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Meilin's gaze turned to Long Jie and then to Alcina. As if studying their features, she said, " Exactly. They have some identical features. From their hair to their foreheads and noses. But Alcina's western features are dominant." 

"Really?" Alcina said, sniffing her hair. "I just dyed them black. A few days ago, I had platinum blond hair." 

'Who sniffs hair?' Meilin wanted to ask but since she realized that this cousin-in-law of hers was an anomaly, she held back her words. 

"First brother, aren't you going to say anything to our cousin?" Long Yuan said as he saw Zhenyi had her head positioned on Long Jie's shoulder. "Wait… you have met her before?" 

Long Yuan veered his gaze to Alcina who just rolled her eyes in return. "How? And when?"

"When I met her I didn't know she was our cousin," Long Jie replied. "She was just a kind-hearted lady who helped my drunk wife." 

"Since when did your wife need a drink? I mean, isn't it the other way around? She makes people need to drink if she spends more than ten minutes with them." 

You don't love your life, Long Yuan." Zhenyi said casually. "Btw congratulations, I heard your mom is planning for your wedding." 

"Ah?" Alcina glanced at Long Yuan. "You are still marrying that pop star? What a disaster in making!"

"Why do you know about her?"Long Yuan asked as he narrowed his eyes at Alcina." We just met today if I remember correctly." 

Alcina poked her fingers on his eyeballs, "Eyes down, dear cousin." Long Yuan tried to grab Alcina's wrist before he could touch her, Alcina had him half-paralyzed on the ground. His neck was tilting at one side and he couldn't move it without crying out in pain. 

Meilin watched the scene unfolding before her in horror. Long Wei took a deep breath and glanced at Long Jie who had his eyes narrowed at Yuan. Instead of getting angry at Alcina, Long Jie was rather disappointed at Long Yuan. 

"Alcina, make him normal again," Long Jie said with a softened voice. Of course, he knew Alcina a little better than others as he had met her a few days back. She wasn't an easy character then and she still was not. 

"I didn't start the fight, " Alcina retorted back. 

'Did she just act spoiled with his brother?' Yuan gaped at her. He had to update his game or she would steal her favorite brother from him. But first, he needed to stand up properly. 

"Yuan and Wei, Alcina doesn't like to be untouched in any way. So, I request both of you to contain your excitement on getting a cousin, "Long Jie said as he rubbed his forehead. " And Alcina, Yuan is in pain. Help him." 

Throwing a dirty look at Long Jie, Alcina helped Yuan. 

"You are cruel," Yuan growled as he saw an unfazed Alcina savoring the snacks again. He stood up to challenge Alcina for a fight because he couldn't believe that a frail-looking girl such as her could defeat him with a single blow. 

"Do not irritate me, Cousin, " Alcina said with a sweet smile. "I'm too poisonous for you all." She tossed a look at Long Jie who had his eyes fixed on her and then at Zhenyi who was quietly dozing off at her husband's shoulder. A pang of jealousy ran through her but she controlled it before she would do something impulsive. "Well, since you guys met me. I'm leaving." 

"Where are you going?" Long Jie questioned her. He gestured to others to leave them alone. Accordingly, Meilin, Yuan, and Wei went back to their rooms.

"Home sweet home," Alcina indifferently replied. 

Long Jie snickered. "You think they aren't waiting outside to kill you? You are the missing heiress who suddenly came back to the Long family after twenty-eight years to take back your inheritance. Do you even know how many enemies you have made in a single night?" 

Alcina just sat there unfazed. "Well, if your little speech is over, can I go back?" 

"It's almost midnight. It's not safe for you to leave this house right now," Long Jie replied to her.

"It's almost midnight. It's not safe for you to leave this house right now," Long Jie replied to her. "See Alcina, I won't beat around the bush. Your being my cousin changes the whole equation. Not because I care for my long-lost relative but because you have attracted several more enemies. Faye already has to live with one parent only. I can't see her orphan at a young age."

"Come on, brother. Let's not emotionally blackmail me," Alcina replied."Feng Siyan is babysitting Faye. I promised him that I will be back before midnight. If I don't go back, he will get another choice to humiliate me." 

Zhenyi instantly opened her eyes. "You left your kid with an unknown man?" 

"Well, he is not an unknown man to the kid," Long Jie told Zhenyi. "He is Faye's uncle."

"Favorite uncle to be exact," Alcina said with a grin and Long Jie gave her a dirty look. 

"Feng Siyan, " Zhenyi whispered the name as she watched Long Jie and Alcina engaged in another heated conversation. Suddenly, she chose to act as a mediator between the two. "Alcina, why don't you stay the night here? Jie is right. It's no longer safe for you to return right now. Talk with Jie for a moment. I will ask the butler to prepare a room for you in our wing." 

Zhenyi stood up and went towards the other side without looking back. Long Jie frowned as he saw her suddenly behaving abnormally. Whereas Alcina watched Zhenyi's back in horror as she realized what she just did.
