Zhenyi choked on air when she heard Mya talking about a certain brave and handsome man. 

 Long Jie patted her back. He asked in naked concern, "What happened, Love?"

Zhenyi shook her head, still coughing badly. She drank a mouthful of water and then calmed down. 

"Who was that man, Cat eyes?" Long Jie asked her later. Even he was curious to know which man saved his wife that day. 

"Ryuu," Zhenyi whispered. 

Long Jie's eyes widened. He looked at Zhenyi and then at the young girl who had suddenly fallen in love with a man twice her age. 

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Long," Mr. He said, wiping his non-existent sweat. He had an inkling as to who that man could be but he didn't share it with his daughter as he feared their deaths. 

"Mya, that man is too old for you," Zhenyi tried to make Mya see the logic. "Besides, he is married and has several kids." He also had a girlfriend with whom he had a very complicated relationship. She wanted to add but didn't tell her. "Moreover, that man is evil. He lures innocent girls. You better stay away from such men."

"You just called your brother a philanderer," Long Jie said with a laugh as they sat at their table. He had a hard time controlling his laugh before the young girl. "You are too cute, Zhenyi." 

"Well, he is now a philanderer in my eyes," Zhenyi said while stabbing the knife on the steak."Plus, I didn't dress like a seductress to be called cute by you." 

'You are a big tease. And tease should be punished, "Long Jie seductively whispered. 

"I'm looking forward to it," Zhenyi said with a grin. 

"Later baby," Long Jie said with a kiss on her mouth. 

At the same moment, someone approached Long Jie and she excused herself to use the washroom. 

She asked someone for directions to the washroom. As she was walking according to the direction, she noticed someone walking behind her, too close to be considered good. She deliberately took a different direction and entered the wing where the only staff was permitted. As the person behind her tried to make her smell the chloroformed handkerchief, she bent down, making the person stumble and taking advantage of his lack of awareness for a nanosecond, she grabbed him by his hair and banged his head against the pillar. 

She pulled out a dagger hidden beneath her dress and pointed it at his neck. "Too inexperienced. Too unqualified. It can't be Du Zheng who sent you to kill me? Tell me, who was the dumbhead?" 

The assailant's eyes widened as heard Zhenyi's questions. As she pointed him at the edge of the dagger, he realized that she was a professional. Damm. Why did he accept the deal? 

"I d-don't know what you are saying," The assailant said, still refusing to reveal his client. 

Zhenyi tched. "Come on, dude. I have my husband waiting for me outside. I'm so hungry right now. And not to add, horny too. The food served here is terrible. Enduring these women ogling my husband and not shooting them in their eyes is already taking a toll on my tired body. So, do yourself a favor and tell me which lady thought by plotting against me will make them have the position of next Mrs. Long?" 

"I would rather die than sell my boss out," The assailant said with a stubborn expression. 

"As you wish. Don't go saying in hell that Xin Zhenyi didn't give you a chance to live. I hate when people blame me for their actions," Zhenyi said and slashed his throat. She picked up the handkerchief and cleaned the splash of blood from her neck. 

She dialed a number and said," Clean up the mess." 

With the same handkerchief, she wiped the blood off her dagger and hid it beneath her dress again. 

Smiling, she left the area to look for a washroom to freshen up. What she failed to notice was two shocked eyes staring at her. Those eyes had witnessed the murder scene from start till the end.

Zhenyi smiled at Long Jie as she slid to the chair next to him. 

"You reek of blood," Long Jie murmured as he smelled iron mingled with her unique scent. 

"Is it too apparent?" She furrowed her brows. 

"Not for a common man," Long Jie muttered. "But someone who technically fills his stomach by killing can't not smell blood when it's present in the air." 

Zhenyi kissed his lips and said,"Stop being too smart, okay?" 

"Sure, wife."
