Everyone turned their head to look up at both the ladies. They didn't understand why despite Alcina's ill and snobbish attitude, she and Zhenyi got along perfectly. What they didn't know was that regardless of Alcina being Ryuu's ex girlfriend, she was Faye's mom which was enough of a reason for Zhenyi to erase all the ill thoughts that she had of Alcina. She was genuinely trying to develop a smooth relationship with Alcina not only because she was his niece's mom but also because of the fact that she was her husband's cousin who he had started to adore. 

"You guys are right, I didn't invite you all to enjoy a familial meal. I indeed have a big reason for hosting this dinner tonight," Zhenyi announced and Long Jie leaned against the chair watching his wife in action. Yes, he knew what his Cat eyes was planning! Always remember she would never do anything for free!

Taking a brief pause, she added,"You see guys, we are currently in a big crisis. Not just me, but all of us. So, instead of solving the problem alone. I thought why not involve you all too? You all are a part of the family." Turning her eyes at the most hostile person among the crowd, she added," Esma, before you say that you are neither related to Xins or Longs here, let me please remind you that my husband considers you his real family. But if you don't, you are free to leave the room. And same goes for Alcina too. I see both of you have qualms regarding Longs which I completely understand as they are no good people and you are right to be wary of them." 

Esma didn't stand up after hearing what Zhenyi had to say about her. She understood now why she was here. She didn't have to choose Longs as her family to be here; instead, she was here because of Long Jie. She was here as his best friend, the person who genuinely cared and loved him. 

On the other hand, Alcina didn't know how to react. It was true she was not ready to be a Long, but it didn't mean she didn't care about a few people in the Long family which included Grandma Mian and Long Jie and perhaps Zhenyi too. If she wanted to investigate her father's case. she had to be one of them. And Zhenyi was giving her a perfect opportunity. 

"How is Lord Ryuu related to this?" The question was asked by Long Wei. Lord Ryuu was a big shot. He was neither related to Longs nor… No, he wasn't sure about Xins. Zhenyi seemed pretty close to him.

"Ryuu belongs to my mom's family," came the reply which was enough to shut him up. 

They wouldn't disclose Ryuu's real identity to the world. 

"So, what's the situation?" Sam asked his best friend. He was glad that his best friend asked for help instead of handling it all by herself. 

Zhenyi turned to her husband and gestured to him to continue further. Naturally, he would agree. 

"Do you all remember the attack at Zhenyi during our wedding?" Long Jie asked them. 

Sam was not present at the wedding but he had heard about it. 

"Yeah, what about it?" Someone among the crowd said. "We handed the assailant to Xin family who later told us that they were mere mercenaries." 

"Do you know who hired those mercenaries?"The question was raised by Ryuu to the Long brothers. "When we investigated the case, we found the clues which pointed towards the Long family. We were of the view initially that since Zhenyi belongs to your rival family, some rare elements tried to get rid of her." 

Everyone was shocked to hear this piece of information. Although Long Shaomimh knew, he had hidden it from his children. 

Long Jie began," Then, she was attacked again after a few months of our wedding. She nearly lost her life that time and when we investigated, the man who had schemed behind her was one of her men. Her chief security officer to be exact. Two attacks and both the time suspect would be from either of our families which simply means that the mastermind of this game is tangling us in his web where we would point our fingers at each other. Friends will become foe and foe will be mistaken as allies."

Pausing for a moment, he fiddled with the iPad and then showed everyone the images which shook them to the core. "All of us are being followed. We uncovered bugs in our mansion, offices and even in the headquarters which means the enemy knows more than necessary details about us. But we do not know who is targeting us and for what?"

"Do we have any suspects?"Sam questioned him. He was surprised to find himself in the pictures along with Zhenyi. He recognized that the pictures were taken when Zhenyi had stayed with him for a few days. 

"Of course,"Long Jie said. "Du Cooperation suffered a huge blow a few months ago. But look at it now? They stole a few of our important projects right under our nose. Not to forget, they are purposely fiddling with Xin cooperation again. The small-time gangsters who nobody used to talk about are suddenly big shots of Beijing in a single month. Du Zheng has announced an open war against us in the business world. Even if we don't want to suspect him, he still ends up becoming our first suspect." 

"And who is second?"This time Long Yuan asked. 

"Prince Amaris?"Alcina gasped as the name escaped her mouth."The fucker is back?" 

"Language, Cia," Ryuu growled but she just glared at him and turned her attention back to her brother. 

"Absolutely, Alcina. He is back," Long Jie said with a wicked smile. 

"Well, who is this Prince now?" Yuan asked, suddenly getting irritated by hearing the number of problems he had to solve. 

"He is my dear sister-in-law's lunatic admirer," Alcina replied, shocking everyone, even Zhenyi. 

"How come I never heard of him before?" Zhenyi asked Alcina with a frown. 

"Ryuu hid the information deliberately knowing you would have done something impulsive like killing a member of the most powerful royal family and attracting a lot of trouble in return." 

"So, why is he back?"Zhenyi scowled. Not liking the fact that she had a secret admirer who was also a lunatic. 

"Have you checked the internet?" Esma said to hr. "You both have been trending on the internet for the last two weeks since you have been captured by the camera together at a gala." 

"Could it be that he is backing up Du Zheng to take you down?" Zhenyi asked her husband who nodded in return. "Why didn't you tell me?" 

"Because you didn't even have the time to eat and I couldn't give you more trouble than you already were in," Long Jie said to her. 

"Well, I have more reasons to kill that bloody Du Zheng." 

"We can't," Long Wei said. "We guys need to make a foolproof strategy for taking him down."

Ryuu glanced at Long Wei and said,"It seems you have one?"

"Absolutely, Lord Ryuu."

"What do you guys think?" Long Wei asked everyone. 

"I didn't know big BIL that you are a genius." Zhenyi was more than impressed. 

"Are you doubting my capabilities?" asked Long Wei with a scowl. 

"Of course, last time you almost got us killed. Not only this, because of you, my husband and I have to spend the night in a dark and rainy forest," Zhenyi said with a sneer. 

"And also because of you, Wei, my poor sister-in-law was found covered in mosquito and what not bites!" Long Yuan innocently said. 

Everyone laughed at his response except for Zhenyi who glared at him. 

"Yuan, stop teasing my dangerous wife."

"So, you want me to follow each and every action of Du Zheng. Especially his secret place or something similar to it?" Long Yuan said to his sister-in- law after Long Wei and Meilin retired for home. "And you want me to do this alone?"

"No, Sam will help you," Zhenyi said. 

"I'm not working with him," Sam immediately said while glaring at Young Master Yuan. 

"Do you think that I am dying to work with you?" Long Yuan fired back. 

"Why so angst, boys? " Esma said with a yawn. "Solve it off in one angsty round...I have checked that the washrooms here are well prepared for just in case… "

Sam slammed the table and left without looking back. "Will see you soon, Zhen Zhen."
