The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

"Mama?" Faye said as she opened her eyes. She had tears in her eyes when she looked at her mom. It could be a dream-like every other and her mom wasn't back yet. 

"Yes baby, mama is back," Alcina said in a won't voice and kissed her temple. Her daughter sat on the bed to hug her mother. Her arms were wrapped around Alcina's neck and she cried against her mom's shoulder. Her cries were heart-wrenching. 

"Mama, don't leave Faye," Faye softly said while crying. "I missed you."

"I missed my baby a lot," Alcina whispered, kissing her cheek. "I will never leave you."

"Promises?" Faye raised her hand to take the promise. 

Alcina nodded, joining her finger with her daughters. "Pinky promise." 

Faye smiled but didn't leave her immediately. She didn't want her mom to be out of her sight even for a single moment. 

"How about we go down to see your baby brother?" Alcina asked after a while. 

"Baby brother?" Faye looked at her with wide green eyes. She was so gorgeous to look at. "He is here. Can Faye meet him?"

"Of course, let's go," Alcina chuckled at her excitement. 

"Mama, pick," Faye raised her arms. 

"Baby, mama is hurt," Alcina sighed and said. "Mama can't pick Faye. How about we call your dad to pick you up?"

As if the little girl was reminded of something else, she asked, "Shu Shu?"

Alcina couldn't help but smile as she said, "Your Shu Shu is fine too. He came with us." 

"Mama, I will walk," The girl said with a wide smile. She was so happy today. 

"You sure you can?" Alcina asked once again. 

Faye nodded and walked with her mom to see her brother. She sat on the couch in the living room between Ryuu and Alcina. The baby was put in her lap and she was so happy. She appeared as if no one was happier than her. Her smile was so infectious that everyone else was smiling at her. She was this family's princess and not even the little prince could shake her position in everyone else's heart. 

"Jiu Jiu, click the picture," Faye said in soft words. Her words were like getting touched by falling snow. 

"Aiyoo, you still give me heart attacks with this endearment." Long Jie dramatically said. He turned to look at his lovely wife and added, "Zhenyi, if we have such a beautiful daughter, we will be so blessed." 

Zhenyi rolled her eyes. "Too bad your son was displaying his family's jewel in the ultrasound."

"Can you let something be a surprise?" Long Jie scowled at her. She didn't understand the element of surprise at all. 

"What?" Zhenyi looked at him as if she hadn't done anything wrong. "We already hid the news for such long. Why hide this too? Plus, bear with the fact we are having a son. Moreover, I'm not ready to share you with anyone yet. I have heard that daughters are father's lovers in last life. I can't have a lover between the both of us. Nope, not at all." 

Sometimes, the way she thought about most things was bewildering to even Long Jie. 

"You are unreasonable and petty, Zhenyi," Long Jie muttered. 

"Long Jie, I'm telling you again that you signed up forever. There is no way you can get rid of me," Zhenyi proudly informed him. She owns this man! Deal with it! 

Long Jie pulled her into his arms. "Do you think I wanna get rid of you?" 

Zhenyi blushed and buried her head in his chest. 

"Are they like this, Bà?" Ryuu asked his father. "How are you handling their arguments?"

"It's good to have someone at home," Xin Yichen said with a fond smile. "When I found out that she was having a baby, I couldn't let her be alone at this time. You were always the best and wisest and she was always my baby. Suddenly, my baby was having a baby of her own. I was happy yet confused at the same time. It was not easy for me. I wanted her to be with her family at this time. And I think it's a good decision. Seeing them bicker first thing in the morning is worth everything. It is also a good start to the day. The house is more lively now." 

"You can always move in here, Bà," Alcina said. "If you are alone, you can live with us." 

"Yes, Bà," Ryuu said. " You have your whole family here." 

"Oh, consider me a permanent resident of this place now," Xin Yichen said. " I will give equal time to all my grandchildren. I don't want to lose any special moment of any of them." 

Ryuu and Alcina smiled. "It's so good to have an elder at home."

"Aiyoo, don't make your old father cry now," Xin Yichen said dramatically. 

"Ba, didn't you say that you will never get old?" Ryuu couldn't help but tease his father. 

"Wait?! Where is my stick?" Xin Yichen's voice boomed in the room. He suddenly remembered one thing. He grabbed Ryuu's ears and twisted them. "What did you tell Zhenyi that I have impregnated a woman?"

"Ba..it was a misunderstanding," Ryuu gulped. He could be one of the most powerful men in the room, but he was nothing compared to his father. He had never been beaten by his father but it seemed like he would be today. 

"Misunderstanding?"xin Yichen scoffed at him. "Is it time for me to give you some younger siblings?"

Ryuu ran saving himself from the beating of his father as Xin Yichen ran behind him with a stick that Zhenyi handed him.

She saw the whole scene unfolding, chewing on grapes. 

"Bà, hit him," Zhenyi encouraged her father. " He dared to make fun of you. How dare he say that you are busy with some other women?!"

As if her provocation was less, she added, "Bà, he even said you are so old but think you are still sweet sixteen." 

Alcina and Long Jie laughed at this.
