The Wife of Hades

"You. . ." Mo Han turned the pregnancy stick to face her, "You're pregnant?"

An Luxia blinked a few times, her eyes slowly drifting down to the test. When she looked again, she noticed the second line that had not been there earlier when she had looked.

Her mouth fell open. No way. . .

She slowly looked back up at him and then her eyes went back to the two lines on the pregnancy test. When she looked a few moments ago, it was not there! She must have looked too early and it didn't show up or was too light for her to see.

An Luxia rubbed her eyes, still unable to believe it as she looked at Mo Han, who stared blankly back at her. The two of them could both not believe it.

It had been too long for them to even think about it, much less think that it would actually happen, especially during such a chaotic time like right now.

After he had finally come back to his senses, Mo Han smiled, his lips curling up into an expression filled with excitement and happiness as he lifted An Luxia up with his arms, and then quickly put her down again, afraid of accidentally hurting her.

"Come on, let's go to the hospital. I need to check," Mo Han said excitedly, turning around in a circle as if he was looking for something before grabbing onto An Luxia's hand and pulling her towards the door.

However, An Luxia quickly stopped, looking at Mo Han also with a smile on her face, "It's nighttime already! We can wait until tomorrow."

"But I don't want to wait another second," Mo Han said, and An Luxia could not say anything so the two of them left the house without even eating dinner and Mo Han drove them to the hospital.

The car stopped in front of the hospital, and since it was nighttime, there were not many cars and they parked in front of the hospital door. An Luxia practically had to run to catch up with Mo Han's large footsteps as they entered the private hospital.

They entered a room on the second floor, where the best obstetrician did her job. She came in a few minutes after they had sat down, and she smiled at An Luxia tiredly.

"Hello, doctor," An Luxia said.

"Good evening." The doctor sat down and eyed An Luxia's stomach, "Wanting to get pregnant? Or just figured out you are pregnant?"

An Luxia grinned, "The second. I've been having a bad appetite recently and I get tired easily, so my husband gave me a pregnancy test. I think I am pregnant."

The doctor had An Luxia lay down so she could perform a series of tests, and after less than three minutes, the doctor smiled, turning to Mo Han and An Luxia, "Congratulations! A new member is about to be added to your family!"

Not wanting to have her parents come over this late at night, An Luxia and Mo Han decided to wait to tell An Luxia's parents until the next morning.

However, the both of them could barely fall asleep at night just from excitement, and the next morning, before the sun was even up, An Luxia reached for her phone and dialed her house number.

The phone rang several times before her dad picked up, and it was obvious that he was not fully awake, "Xiaxia, what happened? Why are you calling so early in the morning?"

An Luxia sat up excitedly, not tired at all, "Dad, put the phone on speaker mode so mom can hear too!"

An Ping looked at the phone confusedly and followed as he put the call on speaker mode and woke Qi Lanyu up, whispering to her, "Xiaxia."

  Qi Lanyu sat up on the bed, rubbing her eyes as she yawned, "Xiaxia, why are you calling so early in the morning?"

  An Luxia pressed her lips together excitedly, "Mom! Dad! Guess what?!"

Without waiting for them to guess, she immediately said, "I'm pregnant!"

". . ." There was a moment of silence as Qi Lanyu and An Ping both finally woke up, but they were still wondering if this was a dream.

"An Ping, am I dreaming?" Qi Lanyu asked, pinching herself on the arm and then shrieking in pain, "Xiaxia, are you dreaming?! Are you sure? When did you know about this?"

Mo Han looked at the phone and pulled An Luxia into his embrace with a wide smile.

"I had a bad appetite the past few days so Mo Han went out and bought a pregnancy test. It was positive so we went to the hospital last night."

  Qi Lanyu and An Ping could both no longer sleep anymore as they immediately jumped out of bed, exclaiming, "Xiaxia, we will go over right away, okay?! Go to sleep! It's still early! Goodbye!"

Then, Qi Lanyu hung up as she hurried to go change and go see her daughter and soon-to-be grandchild!

In less than half an hour, An Luxia, Mo Han, and An Luxia's parents were all sitting in the house as Qi Lanyu and An Ping fought over looking at the pregnancy report.

"Oh, almost one month already!" Qi Lanyu exclaimed, her eyes moving towards An Luxia's stomach as she clapped her hands together, "Oh, I need to go find all my recipes I had when giving birth that my mother passed down to me!"

  Qi Lanyu began talking on and on about everything she needed to do to help An Luxia's pregnancy, and An Luxia listened on with a smile on her face, and one hand over her stomach.

When Qi Lanyu finally toko a pause, Mo Han cleared his throat and spoke up, "Mom, dad, I have something I wanted to propose."

Qi Lanyu, An Ping, and An Luxia all looked towards him, wondering what he was talking about. Mo Han looked towards An Luxia and held onto her hand with a smile, "I want to have a formal wedding with Luxia."
