The Wife of Hades

At once, Li Yilan's face fell and the entire cafeteria blew up.

Li Yilan went to ask An Luxia for money?!

"An Luxia!" She screamed, pushing An Luxia's hands off. Immediately realizing she lost control of her emotions, she quickly looked around nervously and tried to hide what just happened, but it was obviously too late.

An Luxia gasped and looked around innocently, putting one hand over her mouth, "Ah, did I say something I shouldn't have? I'm sorry, sister Yilan. I thought. . ."

Li Yilan glared at her and looked like she wanted to tear her skin out, "An Luxia," she said through gritted teeth before running out of the cafeteria.

An Luxia watched her leave and shrugged before going to find Yu Xinyi still in the line waiting for food.

When she arrived, Yu Xinyi gave a thumbs up silently and An Luxia winked at her.

The two of them sat down for lunch and many people watched her. As they began eating, they started to talk about the beauty contest and other drama going on.

Yu Xinyi took a gulp of juice and suddenly frowned, "Oh yeah, and that picture you uploaded! The one with you in a black outfit. The outfit looks nice, but who took that picture? Why does it look so -"

"Look so what?" A deep and cold voice suddenly ringed in An Luxia's ears. She immediately turned her head around and her eyes widened when she saw Mo Han.

She jumped up from her chair and grabbed onto his arm, "What are you doing here?"

"Why? Is there a reason why I shouldn't be here?"

Of course! Didn't he agree to not eat lunch together in exchange for him cooking dinner? Not that she didn't miss him, but she was also surprised to see him suddenly here.

"No, but. . ." An Luxia frowned a little confused as well. 

Mo Han pulled the chair next to An Luxia out and sat down, pulling her down onto his lap as well, "You only said you couldn't come to the car. You didn't say I couldn't come to the cafeteria."

". . ." An Luxia tilted her head slightly, not wanting to admit that what he said also made sense. Maybe this was good as well. . . His arrival was attracting a lot of attention to him and her.

She tried to move out of his lap but he was holding onto her extremely tightly, and she couldn't move at all. In the end, she stopped trying and obediently sat in his wide lap, turning around to continue eating.

Mo Han smiled happily to see that she wasn't fighting him anymore, and he loosened his grip on her waist slightly, placing his chin onto her shoulder and turning to look at Yu Xinyi.

"So, what were you going to say?"

"I - Um. . . Uh. . ." Yu Xinyi looked over at An Luxia helplessly to find that her friend had her eyes down eating. She tried to get An Luxia to look up, but it was evident that An Luxia did not receive her signal.

Finally, Yu Xinyi cleared her throat and clapped her hands together, "I was going to say that the picture looks so amazing! Mr. Mo, you should go be a photographer!"

An Luxia finally looked up and raised one eyebrow, only to receive a glare from Yu Xinyi.

"What?" She said innocently, only to receive another glare.

A pleased smile appeared on Mo Han's face as he nodded his head and Yu Xinyi let out a sigh of relief, looking down to focus on eating her food.

Ah, she had to be careful in front of this man. . . After all, he was the King of the Underworld.  Just because he treated An Luxia differently didn't mean that she was safe. 

By the end of lunchtime, a new post had made its way to the top of the forum, right under the post that was pinned to vote for the competition.

In the post, there were two pictures attached, both of which showed An Luxia sitting on Mo Han's lap. Whoever posted was kind enough to blur out Mo Han's face, even though most people had already seen it in the cafeteria.

Several people in the comments were commenting about how An Luxia's boyfriend was incredibly handsome, and how they were a match made in heaven.

Because of this single post, An Luxia's voting number flew from 730 votes to 1,500, putting her far in the lead.

That was almost one-fourth of the entire school, which basically already announced who was going to be the winner.

There was one person in the comments that kept on lashing An Luxia though and saying hate comments, but all of her comments only got drowned in replies and dislikes.

An Luxia could already guess who the person commenting might be. Wasn't it obvious? After the incident today, who else but Li Yilan?

Three days after voting began, it was evident who the winner was. 

When the forum post announcing the winner got uploaded, the comment section was immediately bombarded with girls fangirling over the male winner and people commenting on how there was no competition in the female category.

Female Winner:

An Luxia: 1734 votes

Female Runner up:

Li Yilan: 1013 votes

Male Winner:

Qu Hao: 2023 votes

Male Runner up:

Li Ziyang: 1987 votes

The male competition was actually quite close, but the female category was basically set by the first day. An Luxia had won by a landslide.

An Luxia squealed as she rolled around the bed happily, staring at the post and the image of her beneath it with a smile. She felt so narcissistic, but she couldn't hide or suppress her happiness!

Although she was certain she would have won, she was still very happy. Just as she was about to scroll down to the comment, she suddenly received a message.

'Brother: Congratulations, stupid sister. You didn't lose face for me!'

An Luxia pursed her lips out and clicked on the notification, angrily sitting up on the bed and furiously typing into the message box. 

'Ch! What do you mean to lose face for you?! I wonder who was the one who got runner-up in their first year of the competition. Ch!'

Once she sent the message, there was a reply.

'An Luxia, you know that was because I still had braces back then and the picture you took was very bad! If it weren't for that sucky picture, I would have definitely won!'

An Luxia grinned softly and replied, 'Ch! Ch! Ch!'

She then sent over a laughing pig emoji and smiled happily when the reply she received was a crying pig. 

The bathroom door opened and Mo Han walked out, drying his dripping wet hair with a white towel, "What are you so happy about?"

An Luxia closed her phone and jumped off the bed, lunging straight into Mo Han's arms although he wasn't wearing any upper clothes and his body was slightly wet, "Guess who won the competition?"

Mo Han immediately smiled and dropped the towel onto the table nearby, lifting her up from the bottom of her legs and carrying her over to the bed, "Who else can it be but my beautiful wife?"

An Luxia snapped her fingers as she was gently placed onto the soft blanket, "Correct!" 

"Since I helped you take the picture you used to win the competition, shouldn't I get my pay now?"

An Luxia frowned, "Pay?"

"Yes pay.." And then, he was on top of her.
