Chapter 63 - Kidnapped (1)
She tried to walk straight past her, but before she was able to even get three steps away, Li Yilan turned around and called, "Sister!"
She furrowed her eyebrows together but still turned around, "What is it?"
"Congratulations on winning," Li Yilan said with a fake smile.
An Luxia blinked a few times confusedly before replying, "Congratulations to you for winning runner-up after me."
Her tone wasn't sarcastic but also not pleasant, and it was quite obvious she didn't genuinely congratulate Li Yilan. After all, Li Yilan's congratulation wasn't genuine either.
Li Yilan's lips twitched slightly as she lifted her chin up, "The people in this school must be blind."
An Luxia didn't get mad, but instead smiled, taking a step forward, "I agree. How did they vote for you to be number 2? It would make more sense if you were. . ."
She thought for a few seconds, "Last."
With a smile, she waved dramatically to Li Yilan and turned around, walking away. Li Yilan glared at her back, wanting to lunge forward and rip her hair out but stopping herself.
She knew that An Luxia wouldn't be smiling for much longer. . .
An Luxia walked slowly, knowing that Mo Han might not be here yet. He had told her that he had a meeting during this time and might be a little late, so she was taking her time as well.
She scrolled through her phone as she walked, turning the corner to the back parking lot of the school.
As she did so, she saw from the very corner of her eye a tall figure dressed in black. However, before she could look up, a strong force hit her from behind. She felt the world fade away as she fell forward and something, or someone, caught her.
---
She slowly blinked her eyes open, feeling the pain coming from the back of her neck. She stretched her neck from side to side, trying to lift her hand up to push away the strand of hair caught in her mouth to find that her hands were tied with a rough rope behind her back.
She looked up, her eyes taking a moment to focus on the three figures in front of her.
At once, her body tensed up and she held her breath as she stared at the three tall men in front of her. The men were all wearing black shirts and pants, and they had masks on, making it impossible for her to figure out who they were.
An ominous feeling churned inside her stomach as her eyes moved down to the people's hands. They were all holding sticks.
"She's awake," one of them said with a grim smile. She couldn't see the smile due to the mask, but the way his eyes moved suggested that he was smiling. The three of them all looked towards her, lifting the sticks off of the ground.
"Good afternoon," the one standing in the middle said, lifting his stick off and swinging it back to rest on his shoulder.
He kneeled down, looking straight into An Luxia's eyes, "Ah, it's a pity. I also don't want to do this to such a beauty like you, but. . . I have orders."
An Luxia narrowed her eyes and opened her mouth, "What do you guys want?"
The man shrugged, "We just need to fulfill our order and. . . hurt you."
"Hurt me?" An Luxia repeated, "Orders by who."
She could almost hear her heartbeat in her ears, but she tried to remain calm on the outside as she slowly scooted back on the ground.
Who gave them the orders? Why?
"Oh. . . That I can't say." The man stood up, tilting his head slightly, "I'll just say that you offended the wrong person."
He dropped the stick, cracking his knuckles as if he was getting ready to attack.
An Luxia furrowed her eyebrows together and pulled at the rope that was holding her hands together. It wasn't tied extremely tightly, but it was tight enough so she couldn't move her hands at all.
Her feet were also tied together so there was no way she could move or run.
Flight was always the first option, but since that wasn't available to her at the moment, the only option left was fight.
An Luxia looked down at the situation she was in. . . Fight didn't seem like a great option either.
Thoughts flew through her brain as she tried to look around for her bag. Her phone was inside her bag. . .
However, her black bag was nowhere in sight, so trying to get help was also not an option. There was no one around, and since it was the scary back parking lot, it was very unlikely someone would suddenly show up.
The men looked like they were going to start their task very soon, so she didn't have much time left.
"Wait!" She suddenly screamed, taking the men by surprise. The one in the middle raised one eyebrow at her, tilting his head slightly, "What?"
An Luxia smiled sweetly, silently tugging at the ropes binding her hands together, "Can you. . . tell me whether it was a boy or girl that ordered you?"
The man frowned, his eyebrows drooping along with his mouth, which she couldn't see.
"Fine. You should at least know the gender of the person who caused your unfortunate. . . demise." The man laughed at his unfunny joke.
"It was a man."
An Luxia was slightly surprised from his response. She had a small guess in her head that it was Li Yilan. . . She shouldn't know if she should be happy or sad.
"Okay, let's not waste time anymore. We still have to report to our boss." The three man neared her, and she silently clenched her fists together, not sure what she should do.
She had learned karate before with her brother, and she had been even better than An Yuchen! She was a black belt!
Even if her hands and feet were tied, so she should still try to defend herself. . . somehow.
Just as the man in the middle neared, she clenched her fists together and narrowed her eyes. The man lifted his stick up and An Luxia's eyes followed it, her heart beating so loud and fast she was scared it would jump out of her chest at any moment.
Then, the next second, the stick and the man's expression froze.
