Instead, it was hard. Hard as a rock.

Mo Han immediately dropped his fork as he looked over at her, pushing himself up off the chair as he slowly walked over.

An Luxia rubbed the unknown object with the napkin, getting rid of the cream that had covered itself over it. Wasn't this restaurant supposed to be very high-end? How could there be a rock inside their cake?!

An Luxia furrowed her eyebrows slightly as she lifted the object up once again with her two fingers, examining it in the dim light as it didn't appear to be a rock.

Instead, it was shiny.

A few second later, she finally realized what it was, "Ring?!" She exclaimed confusedly.

A ring? A diamond ring? How could there be a ring inside the cake? Did the chef's ring accidentally make its way into the cake batter? 

Mo Han smiled as he reached out, taking the ring away from her. She watched as he slowly kneeled down on one knee in front of her, holding the ring out with a faint smile, "Mrs. Mo, I didn't properly propose to you or give you a ring when we first got married. I know it's a little late, but will you marry me?"

An Luxia raised one eyebrow, more surprised and confused than emotional. However, she couldn't let him stay kneeling for so long. She quickly grabbed onto her arm and nodded, "Yes, of course! We're married already, why are you asking again?"

Mo Han smiled upon hearing her answer and grabbed onto her hand, quickly sliding the ring that was still slightly wet from the cream onto her finger. 

She looked at the glistening diamond that shone extra bright in the dim lighting and held it up with a smile. The diamond wasn't too big, although Mo Han would probably be able to afford a bigger one.

It was the perfect size so the ring wasn't heavy but also not too small to be unnoticed. Mo Han watched her and licked his lips, thinking that Qin Wei had finally done something right.

"So this is what you have been busy working on all this time?

Mo Han cleared his throat a little awkwardly and nodded, scratching the back of his head. 

However, the next second, An Luxia frowned, "But why did you put it into the cake?"

She raised one eyebrow, "What if I swallowed it? Or hurt my teeth?"

Mo Han slowly walked back to his seat and sat down, scratching the back of his head, "Is it not good?"

An Luxia didn't want to ruin his happiness, so she chuckled, "Um. . . It's fine, hahaha, very romantic."

Mo Han could obviously tell that she wasn't being genuine, "Tell me the truth."

An Luxia cleared her throat, "Well. . . It's not exactly the best way. I mean, some dramas do this but it's not really. . . Yeah, but anyway, I'm still happy!"

She held up the sparkling ring and smiled brightly. It was on her fourth finger, and although she knew that she wouldn't wear it on her fourth finger to school, she still liked seeing it on her ring finger.

She didn't want the school to know that she was married already, because it would only cause unnecessary trouble. Due to her "status" in the school, if they knew about her marriage, it would surely show up at the top of the school forum and people would be talking behind her back again.

Mo Han sighed and looked at the ring. Qin Wei. . . He should have known! That guy is obviously not trustworthy. All of his ideas are absolute trash!

On the other side of the city in a fancy room, Qin Wei suddenly sneezed, wondering who had just talked bad about him. 

Afterwards, they quickly finished the dessert and stayed in the restaurant for a little longer, talking as they stared into the night sky before finally returning home.

As they walked out of the elevator, they immediately heard the sound of the sirens wailing. As they turned around and entered the lobby, An Luxia immediately furrowed her eyebrows together.

In the lobby, there was a group of police standing, and they immediately turned around and looked at the two of them as they neared.

An Luxia's hand that was wrapped around Mo Han's elbow tightened as she furrowed her eyebrows together, a bad feeling rising inside her. She had this feeling that the police were here for them. 

She immediately remembered what had happened earlier in the elevator when they were going up. Was it because of that old disgusting man?

Meanwhile, Mo Han's face turned cold as they continued to walk. He stared directly into the eyes of the police standing in the front, not afraid at all.

An Luxia didn't dare look at the police as she tried to pull Mo Han to the side so they could walk around the police, but Mo Han refused to change his path.

She pressed her lips together as she looked out the hotel door to see several police cars and an ambulance as well. Oh no, she thought, knowing that they were probably here because of that man.

To be able to enter this hotel, she could also guess that the man was probably some big figure, so he was not afraid to openly harass her in the elevator as well.

When they were almost at the door, the police held an arm up and stopped them. An Luxia closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to keep calm.

Of course. . . They were here for them. 

And indeed, to An Luxia's expectancy, the police's next words were, "Good evening. We are here today because we received a report saying that you attacked a man in the elevator two hours ago."

Mo Han calmly looked at the man and grinned softly, lifting his chin up, "Yes, that's right."

An Luxia's mouth immediately fell open. Why would he admit it so directly? At least try to explain himself. 

She looked up and quickly said, "Police officer, actually -"

Mo Han quickly pushed her behind him, signaling for her to stop talking, "Is there anything you need?"

The police looked between the two before his eyes finally landed on Mo Han, "Sir, I will need you to come with us."
