Chapter 7 - Do You Have Muscles?
However, once they went inside, Qi Lanyu pulled out her phone and made a call.
The other end quickly picked up and Qi Lanyu increased the phone volume so An Ping could also hear.
"What is it, mom?" A deep and lazy male voice came from the other end.
Qi Lanyu put the phone up close to her mouth and whispered, "Yuchen, hurry up and come home! Your stupid sister got herself in trouble!"
An Yuchen frowned as he sat up straighter in his office chair, "What do you mean?"
"Your sister found this guy and got married!"
An Yuchen immediately jumped up from the chair, causing the nurse in the room to look up in surprise, "What?! When? Who? Why?!"
Qi Lanyu sighed, "I don't know! Probably because of the marriage with Lu Xiamo. But still! She can't just marry someone like that. Anyway, hurry up and come home. Let's eat lunch together."
An Yuchen immediately took off his white doctor's robe, grabbed his suit jacket, and ran out of the room.
"Doctor An, you still have two patients waiting!" The nurse called after him, but there was no response anymore.
Then, Qi Lanyu and An Ping finally began to actually cook lunch.
A few minutes later, Qi Lanyu walked out with a plate of fruits and saw that An Luxia and Mo Han had sat down on the couch together, and were talking about something.
She smiled and walked over, placing the plate on the table in front of them.
"Xiaxia, Mo Han, eat some fruits."
An Luxia immediately grabbed a strawberry and Mo Han nodded his head slightly, "Thank you, mom."
Qi Lanyu flinched softly from being called mom by a complete stranger, and she gulped before turning around and returning into the kitchen.
"I didn't know you were so smooth at this," An Luxia said softly as she continued to eat fruit.
"Why would I have to be smooth? I am just telling the truth." He raised his hand up and used one finger to lift An Luxia's chin up so she was looking at him, "Remember, we are actually married. This is not some joke or scheme to help you get out of your arranged marriage. Understand?"
An Luxia nodded her head eagerly, "Yes, yes. Eat fruit, eat fruit. . ."
She handed him a strawberry and he looked down before slowly bending down and eating the strawberry in one bite from her hand.
They continued to eat in silence for a while, but An Luxia kept sneaking glances over at him once every few seconds.
Finally, Mo Han leaned back against the couch and tilted his head slightly, "What are you looking at?"
An Luxia stopped chewing on the apple slice and looked back again, "I. . . I have a question."
"What is it?"
"I don't remember from last night, but I was wondering. . . Do you -" She licked her lips and gulped, "Do you. . . have muscles?"
Mo Han was slightly taken aback by her question, but he then chuckled softly and looked down, "What muscles?"
An Luxia's face turned red as she scratched her head innocently, "I don't know. . . like ab muscles, chest, muscles, the ones the guys in novels have."
Mo Han had investigated An Luxia, so he knew that her part-time job and hobby at the moment besides going to college was also writing romance novels online.
Although she wasn't very successful in doing so, he knew that she was very interested in writing about those perfect male leads.
He leaned over to her, licking his lips, "You don't have to be so embarrassed. . . You are my wife. To answer your question, you can see for yourself tonight."
An Luxia closed her eyes to hide the embarrassment but also the excitement that was leaking out of them. Ah!! She had only agreed to sleeping with him last night and losing her virginity because she was desperate to find someone and also because he looked unrealistically handsome yesterday.
If they were to actually to do it again as a married couple now. . . she -
"Xiaxia!" The front door swung open and a tall man walked in. He held his suit jacket in his hands, and he wore a white shirt and black pants.
An Luxia turned around and jumped up from the couch when she saw the man. At once, she jumped over the couch like a monkey, not caring about her "lady image" at all.
"Brother!" She ran over and flew right into An Yuchen's embrace, who grunted softly as she jumped up into his arms.
When Mo Han saw this, his face immediately darkened and the juice in the orange slice he was holding in his hand squirted out onto his shirt and parts of the couch, but he didn't notice.
An Yuchen chuckled softly before gently placing his sister back down onto the ground and brushing her nose with his finger, "You! When can you grow up?"
An Luxia rolled her eyes, "This is all because you care about your stupid job more than your sister! How could you not come and see me for all these days?!"
An Yuchen laughed and gently rubbed her head, messing up her hair, "Okay, okay. I'm sorry. I have been a little busy these past few days. But look what I bought you!"
He lifted his hand up, revealing a cake box from the most popular cake shop in town.
An Luxia's eyes immediately lit up, "Cake!"
She snatched the box from An Yuchen and peeked inside, "Thank you, brother! I forgive you."
From the couch, Mo Han's eyes were practically burning with fire by now. Although he knew that they were siblings, he still couldn't stand watching this!
He had become the third-wheeler now!
An Yuchen finally looked up and his eyes landed on Mo Han. Their eyes met in midair for several seconds as several unknown emotions flashed past the two of them.
Finally, An Yuchen broke his gaze and looked down at his sister.
"So, I heard from mom that you got married?" He raised one eyebrow.
An Luxia glanced up and gulped, "Ah, mom can't keep any secret!"
"You were trying to keep it a secret from me?"
"No. . . it is true!" An Luxia placed the cake onto the table and ran back to Mo Han, holding onto his hand, "Brother, this is Mo Han, my husband, and this is Yuchen, my older brother!"
An Yuchen walked over and lifted his hand up. Mo Han looked at it for a quick second and raised his as well, grabbing onto his to shake hands.
On the outside, it looked like a simple but long handshake, but only the two of them knew just how hard they were gripping onto each other's hand.
"So Xiaxia, when did you two meet?" An Yuchen finally pulled his hand back and frowned slightly at how strong Mo Han's strength was.
"A few days ago."
An Yuchen glanced at Mo Han again and sighed, "Xiaxia, I know you don't like Lu Xiamo but marriage isn't something to be taken lightly. I can get rid of that Lu guy for you."
Mo Han furrowed his eyebrows together and took a step forward, "Brother-in-law, I agree with you. Marriage isn't something to be taken lightly and I'm sure Xiaxia knows that too."
The two of them glared at each other again for several seconds before finally, the kitchen door opened and Qi Lanyu walked out.
"Yuchen, you're back! Perfect! It's time for lunch."
