Transmigrating as an Extra Third-Rate Villain

Chapter 146: Chapter 146:The Trigger [1]

Finally, as the red and blue beams neared the tree, the four girls simultaneously moved their wands, Ruby and Irene moving to the right while Lily and Alya moved to the left.

Sychrnozing with their owner's wand movements, the four spells all strayed from their paths, combining with the spells next to each other.

First, the light blue and light red beams combined create a light purple color that could be mistaken for maroon.

Next, the dark-blue and dark-red beams mixed together, forming a purple color, that was dangerously close to being black.

The light-purple beam took the top, while the dark-purple beam flew right below it, making sure not to combine.

Then, a millisecond before the beams hit the tree, they once again combined, but before the colors could even fully mix, the beam struck the tree.

My arrows, which had hit the tree long ago, were also struck by the beam, causing them to push further into the tree trunks.

Since my arrows were also created by corruption, they reacted slightly with the beam, causing a bit of black to mix into the purple.

The next moment, the night-black sky seemed to transform into the day as all our surroundings were illuminated by a bright light, forcing all of us to close our eyes.

Having predicted the burst of light, I was the first to reopen my eyes, revealing the night-black sky once again, tainted by a few white stars.

Shifting my gaze downwards, I didn't first notice anything about the tree... but as I stared at the ground, I saw a massive dent.

From my location to the area of the tree, the entire grass and ground were removed, revealing the stone and dirt.

Shellshocked at the power of our group attack, I dropped my bow onto the ground... but then I suddenly sank even further into the ground.

The stone below me had been partially broken by our group attack as well, so just the drop of my corrupted bow had broken it!

Activating dash, I immediately appeared ten meters upwards and to the right, looking downwards at the four girls who had just opened their eyes.

Following their gazes, I finally looked at the tree... if it could even be called a tree anymore.

All that was left was a small stump that barely stuck out of the ground.

The rest of the tree had either been completely destroyed by the beam or been disintegrated by the impact.

Most of the trunk, the branches, and the leaves... were just gone without a trace, like they had never existed in the first place

...if our group attack couldn't even destroy the whole tree, there was no way I could even come close to destroying it alone.

As the four girls silently climbed out of the dent in the ground made by our beam, I headed towards the remaining tree stump.

Avoiding the countless fallen trees on the ground that had fallen from just witnessing the beam and my arrows, I finally arrived at the tree stump.

The top of it was burned and fully black, but that didn't matter to me.

My three corrupted arrows were still there and alive!

Each of them was now facing downwards, stabbed fully in the tree stump, only their bottoms visible.

As the four girls caught up to me, I dismissed the tree arrows and sat down on the tree stump.

Holding my breath, I swapped bodies with my crow, allowing my human body to lie down on the burned tree stump.

Looking downwards from the sky with my crow, I could easily spot myself and the four girls as there was a huge clearing without any trees and a gigantic dent in the ground.

After staring at my slumped body for a moment, I began flying forward from the flipped carriage.

Each time I flapped the crow's wings and moved forward, my hope and expectations only grew.

Would this be it?

Could I finally escape this damned loop?

But the fire of my hope was soon extinguished as the familiar scene of a flipped carriage accompanied by three exhausted boys appeared.

All this time, Liam, Kevin, and Zach had been running forward to terminate the loop.

Sighing, I didn't immediately return to my body but stared at the carriage below, wondering what the next step was.

The end condition was destroyed.

Was it impossible to escape the loop now?

How could we terminate the loop when there was no end condition anymore?

I had been so caught up and hopeful that Ruby's idea would work that I forgot to consider the consequences... if it didn't work. your-chapter-source

Were we stuck in this loop forever now?

Would a new end condition spawn in... or was our fate to be stuck in this loop forever like those children gathering water?

All hope was lost.

Returning to my body, I grimaced, but the expression was soon taken over by one of pain as I hurled towards the ground.

"OW!"

Instead of the burned and hot tree stump under my back, there was now a rough and uneven surface.

Getting up and rubbing my back, I immediately noticed that I was no longer in the same place, as there were no trees around me.

Peering through the darkness, I spotted the four girls alongside the rough and ragged rock walls surrounding all of us.

We were in a cave?

Wasn't I just lying on a tree stump...?

What the hell did I miss?

Looking upwards, I saw a small hole, and through the hole, I saw the night-black sky accompanied by a half-crescent moon.

We were underground...

Looking to my right, I also spotted the burned tree stump.

...A secret underground cave under a tree stump of an end condition of a loop?

Not getting my hopes up yet, I carefully stood up before making my way to the four girls, who had all grouped up.

Making no noise as I walked through the underground space, I swiftly arrived to the place.

Walking up right next to Ruby, I interrupted their conversation about who knows what and asked.

"So, what'd I miss?"
