Book 3: Chapter 7 (5/9)
Book 3: Chapter 7 (5/9)
Kain violently killed Anwyn then commanded Nemelia to revive her. This time, Kain wanted Anwyn to remember that she was killed by him. Just like before, Anwyn refused to be bound to Kains Conjurer Soul, that was why Kain violently killed her again. This process was repeated over six hundred times and finally broke Anwyn's fighting spirit. Anwyn gave up on waiting for her Magical Staff to return to her and also gave up on relying on the other Devils to somehow defeat Kain and rescue her. Unlike demons, there are a very limited number of Devils who are currently living on the Devils' planet. The longer Anwyn waits, the more Devils will be killed and she cant revive them without using her Magical Staff. If Anwyn lost all of her Devil Guards, then what's the point of being the Overlord when having no one to serve and do her command? After understanding no other choice for Anwyn but to submit, she finally broke down in tears and agreed to be Kains new Soul-Bound Creature.
Kain initiated the Soul-Binding Contract, Anwyn Richir was then voluntold to be bound to his Conjurer Soul. Smiling in satisfaction, Kain transmitted a signal to Finwe that his plan of making the Devil Overlord become his new Soul-Bound Creature was completed. Kimaris opened the portal allowing Finwe to come back to the Devils planet. After giving Anwyn her Magical Staff back, she immediately revived three Devil Mages and two Devil Warriors that were recently killed. Other Devils who have been killed for more than forty minutes couldn't be revived and permanently dead. Even though Anwyn's couldn't regenerate her mana pool for the next twenty-eight days, she could still cast magic spells using her Soul-Bound Magical Staff. Kain didnt bother spending any more time on the Devils planet watching Anwyn's crying like a little girl, he banished all conjured creatures including Finwe before flying back to the Thirteenth Gate of Hell Realm to meet with Kimaris. Regardless that Anwyn had become his Soul-Bound Creature, Kain wasnt stupid enough to dismiss his Devil form until Kimaris closed the portal connected to the Devils' planet. Kimaris was so happy to know that Kain had succeeded and couldnt stop smiling thinking how angry Anwyn must be knowing he had a part of this.
After traveling back to Toria Continents, Kain closed the portal that was opened inside his room using the Magical Portal Key. Subsequent to taking a deep breath to release the stress he had endured in fighting against Anwyn, Kain opened the door of his room and went to tell Jaane Almos, Liliana Bersk, and Zander Bersk the good news. The first step of defeating Noe Clerico was completed, next was the time to move into the second step.
The next day, Kain gave the commands for the Blood Mages Guild to collect more blood so he could recharge his Blood Equipment faster. Kain conjured Lazela and commanded her to bring two letters Kain had written to Noe Clerico and Arthur Castillon. About the Holy Mage Gween Bigham, she wasnt worth it for Kain to waste his energy into writing her a letter. Arthur Castillon wasnt a real threat, but he was Kains friend and Arthur deserved the right to know what Kain had written to Noe. Noe was the true protector of the Mages Council. If he dies, Gwenn Bigham alone couldnt stand against Kains mighty power. About the Champions, they were just pieces of shit in Kain's eyes.
After Lazela received the handwritten letters from Kain, she casted [Wind Walk] spell and flew away from Benil city of Dryardian Empire heading toward Flumen city of Bifjorkian Theocracy. Seeing Lazela flying away from his palace, Kain thought, Noe Clerico, I want to see how strong you truly are. I won't hold back the next time I fight you. I have found a way to counter your [Unlimited Life] spell. There is no such thing as an immortal. At least not in the lower realms.
In the higher realms. Watcher Tykan didnt know what Kain was planning, he and Watcher Zorim were having another lunchtime when Kain defeated Anwyn Richir and forced her to be his new Soul-Bound Creature. Tykan told Watcher Zorim about it and thought Zorim would be worried for Noe Clerico.
But instead of appearing to be worried, Zorim calmly said, As I have told you, there is a plan B. I dont see Noe Clerico can lose to your Kain Bersk, but I always have a backup plan.
Tykan shook his head and said, Are you talking about Arthur Castillon? He is much weaker compared to Kain Bersk and Noe Clerico. His Creation Magic isn't bad, but it required time to raise strong creatures inside his planet. It would take him at least a hundred thousand years more to catch up to Noe Clerico.
Let's assume if Kain somehow manages to defeat Noe Clerico and attempts to destroy the Mages Council. Arthur wouldn't stand idly allowing him to succeed. Arthur is Kains friend, Kain will hesitate to kill him and that will be a fatal mistake.
Kain is cruel enough not to make that kind of idiotic mistake. Just in case you have forgotten, I can possess Kains body at any time to prevent him from making such an error. Zorim, you should surrender this planet to me while you still have a chance. Kain didnt want to destroy Toria Continents, but I am not him and I love to destroy such a big planet under your control. As long as I can possess his body, all the planets in the lower realms will be at my mercy. Kain Bersk is a good living shell for me to use whenever I want. Hahaha...
He is an idiot. His freedom was already over the moment he valued his life more than his souls. I expected more bravery out of him. I still couldnt believe that idiot surrendered his souls to you.
Having a Watcher screwed him up to the point that there was no other way to complete the Timeless Dungeon, you cant really blame him for willingly being a living shell for me in exchange for a chance of revenge.
Dont be too happy about that. You raise a bee inside your sleeve, one day that bee will sting your arm to escape. If you rely on Kain too much, perhaps one day he will somehow steal back his souls from you. Imagine when that happens. The incident of Vierna Pharm will occur once again. He will serve another Watcher in the higher realms and cause more headaches for you instead."
"That was why I didn't possess Kain's body unless I needed to. I have created a good bonding with him. Good enough for him to trust me in the long term."
