Chapter 248: Treasure Palace
Chapter 248: Treasure Palace
'It seems both have a strong animosity,' Aleron thought as he looked at the duo throwing daggers at each other with their eyes.
"Since that's the case, then let's start," Lilisa calmed down and smiled. "As per rules, we can challenge anyone, including the current number 1 strongest Unbound-rank we have, who is your candidate."
"Bring him out."
"Cool down, why are you in such a hurry?" Sid coldly smiled. "There are still many days left, and it's me who will decide when there will be a fight, Mrs. Branch Manager."
'It looks like this Sid holds a higher position than Lilisa in the Alliance,' Rias thought with a chuckle. 'Well, husband will surely disappoint him.'
'Delaying his suffering,' Ruan snickered.
"So when is it going to be held?" Lilisa asked, her eyes narrowed and irritated.
"That'll be after seventeen days," Sid smiled. 'I'll make sure your participant won't get a chance to participate at all.'n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Lilisa was dumbfounded, her eyes twitching, "What did you say? Seven?"
Sid's plan was simple. He had the authority to decide when the match would be held, and if he held it just one day before the entry and Lilisa's candidate lost, it would be over. It would be the last match before the entry because fighting for spots wasn't allowed for 24 hours before the entry of participants.
"Seventeen. The battle will be held one day before the 100 participants enter the dungeon."
Lilisa's lips twitched, and a hint of a smile appeared in her eyes, but she decided to play the game, "I suppose me complaining to higher-ups won't change this date, right?"
"Correct," Sid sneered.
"Humph, then we'll see," Lilisa adopted a stern and dark expression as she snorted.
Aleron and the girls looked at each other, feeling like they were laughing.
"Come on, we'll go a better place than this in the meantime," Lilisa moved the ship as they left the area and went further up in the mountain.
Soon, they arrived at a big and beautiful courtyard with three different types of aesthetic traditional wooden buildings, a mixture of the pavilion and the eastern castle.
The courtyard also had a big pond with a small open pavilion in the middle, apparently a dining table to eat.
On the other side was a clean green training ground with trees to sit and meditate as well. "This is a personal courtyard of mine, but you all can live here. It's big enough."
"That it is," Aleron was impressed. "Thanks. Anyway, since we are finally here, what's the next plan?"
"I would have wanted you to enjoy after finishing the match, but I don't want you displaying your power until the match," Lilisa said with a wry smile. "So, we'll get a stroll in the treasured palace, get you Innate Gears in all slots, and then you will just train or do whatever you want as long as you don't display your capabilities."
"Great. Then I've already thought of how I would spend the next seventeen days," Aleron lightly laughed as he looked around. "This is a good place to meditate and train. Hopefully, I can break through to level 3 of my Concept as well."
He had been trying to do that along with everything else.
"Good. Look around and pick your rooms...wait, you'd want one big room or?" Lilisa blinked as she looked at Aleron and swept her gaze at the ladies.
"We'll need one big room and multiple rooms both," Aleron smiled.
"Alright, choose your rooms, mine is already fixed. It's on the smallest building's top floor. The entire top floor is mine."
"Gotcha."
Soon, everyone picked up their rooms, and Aleron also marked them, sort of like having Cosmic Eyes there so that he would be able to teleport there instantly.
After around ten minutes, the group left on a smaller vehicle-a flying carriage, but it was still big enough for them to sit comfortably.
They just went to another place on the mountain via the carriage and arrived at the treasure hall.
Aleron and Lilisa went inside while the girls had to stay outside as they weren't allowed to enter.
The Treasure Hall's Innate Gear section was a mysterious pocket dimension with many Innate Gears floating around while displaying their characteristic effects.
"Now, there are some special Innate Gears as well, ones that could grow stronger and evolve. These are rare ones directly gained from Dungeons and Chaotic Phenomenons as rewards. But those only appear for selected individuals."
Lilisa said as she looked around the Innate Gears. She released her comprehensive aura slightly, and suddenly, over ten Innate Gears arrived like streaks of colorful lights and started floating around her.
The final amount settled at thirteen Innate Gears with growth potential.
"Interesting," Aleron nodded with raised eyebrows. "So I guess we have to release our comprehensive aura to attract them, eh?"
"Yep," Lilisa smiled. "Let's see how many you get."
"How many of such special Innate Gears are there?" Aleron asked. He didn't release his comprehensive aura yet.
"There are over a hundred for sure, but less than one fifty."
Aleron cracked his finger and grinned, "Well, let's find out the exact number."
He had a strong feeling that he was about to attract each one of those special Innate Gears.
In the next second, he released his comprehensive aura. There was a silence for one second before the whole dimension started strangely vibrating.
[Gachapi: This is going to be fun.]
The normal Innate Gears, be it Unbound-rank, Transcendent-rank, or Supreme-rank, started going away from Aleron as if scared.
However, powerful auras started glowing from deep within the dimension, and soon, the sky and groundless space below them turned colorful, with various types of colors, textures, and effects as if belonging to a multitude of those special Innate Gear.
"Shit..." Lilisa realized something, and she quickly sealed the dimension's door that was open to prevent the aura from leaking out. Something big was happening, and she didn't want anyone to know that, especially Sid!
*Swoosh!*
*Swoosh!*
From all directions and sides, be it top or below, powerful Innate Gears streaked towards Aleron, maintaining a respectful distance of ten meters from him, and began arranging in a circular globe manager while rotating around him.
Each one was oozing out a wisp of their aura and displaying their special effects in visuals as if appealing to Aleron.
There were already over a hundred, but then came some kind of strange Innate Gears looking humanoid, but in a set and without anyone equipping them. The sphere of Innate Gears made way for these Innate Gear sets as they stopped five meters away from Aleron.
A total of four Innate Gear sets hovered around Aleron.
[Gachapi: Welp, I guess we are getting a new banner for Innate Gears, the true Innate Gears, which will help us develop our own special Innate Geno Gear better.]
'The Proper Path Alliance is really helping me in this quest to stop them,' Aleron laughed
joyously inside.
"What the fuck..." Lilisa uttered as she looked at the Innate Gear sets, her eyes displaying pure
shock as she mumbled, "I thought this was just rumors..."
Aleron looked at the four Innate Gear sets and could feel their extraordinary powers and
potential, "What are they? Seems like even more special than special Innate Gears."
He was getting a feeling from these Innate Gears that all of them wanted to get into his body. His physique, his body, appeared too attractive to these special Innate Gears. "Those are Sovereign Innate Gears...they come in complete sets of six and give way more boost and power than other Innate Gears, but..." Lilisa looked at Aleron, her eyes in disbelief, "From what I know, only those Champions could wear them and actually acquired them in the
first place."
"These Sovereign Innate Gears can only be acquired from the toughest Dungeons and Chaotic Phenomenon in the 5th region of the Chaosverse, and those could only be cleared Broken- rank powerhouses, the Champions of Eternals. Even a peak Supreme-rank powerhouse would die once they entered those dungeons and phenomena."
"I've read about them from books, yeah," Aleron nodded. It was true. He had also visited a
few places and a library in Desolate City where there were books on this topic of champions. "So these are those, huh? It seems that they are willing to be my partners," Aleron chuckled. "Can I take them all?"
"You would die before you could do that," Lilisa rolled her eyes. "You can only pick six or... well, one of those Sovereign Sets since you managed to call them. It's been over three hundred years since someone managed to call them, but the one who previously called was a descendent of a champion, and he was a supreme rank."
Her eyes glinted as she looked at Aleron, "But you....your potential is way higher."
"Thanks," Aleron faintly smiled.
[Silencing Crimson's Raven Ravager]
This was a black-red designed and patterned Innate Gear set with a furry carved pattern and
metal feathers but no actual fur.
A metallic-looking leather-metal mix of armor, boots, gloves, a mask, a pair of wings, and a
heart.
[Blue Destruction's Whirling Madness]
[Luminous Tempest's Shifting Cyclone]
[Obsidian Titan's Fortress Lord]
The other three were also good, but he liked the Silencing Crimson's Raven Ravager set more.
"Alright, I'll choose this," Aleron pointed at the Raven Ravager set, causing a loud humming
to echo from other Innate Gears that felt sad.
But they still scattered away while humming as if weeping. Meanwhile, Raven Ravenger's set vibrated as if oozing out joy.
"Well, it's fine, you got it, but hide it well. Don't reveal it before the match," Lilisa said, her smile weary yet excited. "I'll inform higher-ups about this."
"I feel like there's going to be trouble," Aleron blinked as he captured that from her eyes.
"Well, Sovereign Innate Gears are not to be given to just anyone...this Treasure Palace is connected to all Treasure Palaces across the branches, so you can say we literally only have four sets of Sovereign Innate Gears, not count the ones that are already owned by others."
"Anyway, the point is that you'll have to join the Proper Path Alliance properly. Otherwise, they wouldn't be happy to part with this."
"But am I not already a part of this force?" Aleron raised his eyebrows.
"You are, but not at the level where you are allowed to take such a precious thing," Lilisa
wryly said. "I'll convince them that you'll become a core part of the Alliance, and you will also
show a great result in the Dungeon, so get ready."
"Once this is over, you are going to have to take a soul binding to become a part of the
alliance."
"I'm fine with that," Aleron smiled.
'Soul Binding? The fuck's that? Gachapi, that won't interfere with our plan, right?'
Gachapi snickered.
[Gachapi: If we didn't have the backing of Eternals, it would have interfered, but not
anymore, hehe. Soul Binding can screw itself.]
'Nice. Now, let's see how powerful this is. It automatically adjusted to Unbound-rank from
Broken-rank, heh.'
[Silencing Crimson's Raven Ravager]
Rank: Unbound.
