Chapter 125 - Not a beast

Chapter 125: Not a beast

The place was completely dark.

Jung Ilgyu was chained by metal bindings on his arms and legs. He could see nothing and hear nothing. Even then, Ilgyu was still aware of how much time had passed. It was simple as there was ‘supply’ each day. The air changed and as he felt some kind of presence, someone was making him drink the concentrated sugary liquid.

And five months had passed just like that, every single day.

But it was different today.

The liquid given out today was something that allowed him to regain his energy. He felt his muscles getting stronger, and if he drank more of it, he’d return to his normal condition. After an hour, Ilgyu felt like he could break free of his bindings, and the bindings disappeared.

And then light came into the room.

Jung Ilgyu was in the center, and there he was.

“Good to see you again.”

There was the enemy.

“You’re back to almost normal in just one hour.”

Like Jung Ilgyu, Dohyuk was almost naked except for the panties that covered his manly organ.

“...You don’t seem excited,” Dohyuk said.

‘He’s like a corpse.’

Ilgyu’s sullen eyes glared at Dohyuk wordlessly. Dohyuk waited patiently. He wasn’t here to just talk anyway.

Then Ilgyu moved.

He did not have a weapon, but it was a formidable attack that was enough to crush any person. Only if it had hit. Before he landed his attack, Dohyuk disappeared and kicked downwards with his leg.

Ilgyu brought up his arms to defend himself, and the kick crushed his outer left arm after coming into contact.

“One more.”

Dohyuk then kicked again, completely destroying Ilgyu’s left arm. Ilgyu grabbed Dohyuk with his right hand and held Dohyuk up into the air to try to smash him down on to the ground.

But he couldn’t move. Dohyuk was pushing against Ilgyu, refusing to come down.

“Balancing is important you see.”

Dohyuk spoke from the top of his head. And then he moved down and kicked Ilgyu’s face. Ilgyu tried to attack again, but Dohyuk kicked him in the face a few more times before he finally fell to the ground.

Ilgyu was now on the ground, panting with a crushed face.

“What do you think? I worked my ass off,” Dohyuk asked.

“...It’s unbelievable.”

Jung Ilgyu didn’t seem angry; he was disappointed.

“What is?”

“I hope you are not asking that for real.” Ilgyu spat to the side.

“Consider it as if I am asking for real.”

“You are saying you have not walked out of your playground for five months.”

“Yeah.”

“You will die,” Ilgyu claimed.

“You can maybe win against a few thugs in the smaller regions. You’d be ready against retards who’ve done nothing for five months.”

“Oh, like you?”

“What did you do all this time? Have you stuck yourself at home, comforting each other like idiots?”

He wasn’t being sarcastic. Jung Ilgyu was seriously asking. In his current state, he wasn’t angry just because his temperament was all over the place. It was because Ilgyu was like this when he was weak. Since he knew that there was no way to win, he would not even think about it. He’d wait for his next chance

“I don’t see a good reason to do that.”

“You don’t need to. What I want to hear about is a different thing.”

Dohyuk turned and walked to the place where a small thermo bottle was placed. He picked it up and came back to Ilgyu.

“It smells sweet, right?”

“...”

Ilgyu looked at the bottle. It seemed like it was the liquid that made him recover within an hour.

“Here.”

Dohyuk threw it at Ilgyu’s chest.

“As you guessed, it’s a mixture of a healing potion and an energy drink to get you back on to feet.”

“...Yoo Giwon.”

“He’ll be mad for giving one of the valuable potions to you. Oh, make it two now.”

Dohyuk then sat down as Ilgyu rose up.

“Drink. I’ll wait.”

“And then?”

“You will choose one of two things. Fight...

“Or, you help me out.”

Before Dohyuk can finish, Ilgyu was already drinking the bottle.

“Hear me out while you drink,” Dohyuk added.

“I was really hesitant about giving you that second bottle. I wasn’t sure if it was worth it, to be honest. I know how hard it was for Giwon to make it.”

“...”

Jung Ilgyu kept drinking.

“If you try to fight me again after you drink, or pretend you’re helping and backstab me – I won’t be surprised. Maybe it’s only natural.”

“...”

“But it doesn’t make me any less angry.”

Ilgyu then stopped. His instincts were telling him that it wasn’t time to drink. He needed to be wary of the enemy.

“So... If you do exactly what I think you will do, I will be very... very angry.”

And...

“I will not hold back... and the thing that will be crushed next, will not just stop at your face.”

“...”

“Go on. Drink.”

Jung Ilgyu began drinking again. And as he put down the bottle, Dohyuk was standing in front of him.

“Here.”

He was extending his hand to Ilgyu.

“...”

Ilgyu grabbed the hand, looked up to Dohyuk, and decided. He was against an opponent that impossible to beat, eat, or even refuse. At least for now.

Five minutes later, Dohyuk was out on the plains.

There were a lot of choices, but the destination was one of the worst.
