Chapter 639 Sun God
Dilan wanted to do a lot for the Sun God but the others didn't think that it was intelligent if he were to cripple, or heavily injure the Sun God.
In fact, they told him not to injure the Sun God in any other way than superficial wounds that would heal in a day or less.
"How the hell am I supposed to injure a Lesser God superficially? It's either cutting off an arm or not being able to injure him at all…" Dilan cursed out when he jumped from the edge of the flying island.
He was the first to leave the flying island and the reason was pretty simple; he didn't have to prepare much and it was his mission to pull everyone's attention to him.
Gaining everyone's attention was certainly not difficult.
He used his Green Magic to accelerate his falling speed while using the Desert Eagle form of Oricalm to destroy a bunch of missiles that targeted the flying island.
Most missiles were mana-decaying missiles that did exactly what the name suggested. They would decay the mana around them upon exploding. The Queen's Image had to replace the mana the missiles decayed, which resulted in her power getting drained quickly.
It may take more than a thousand missiles to destroy the dome of protection and drain the Queen's Image of the vast majority of her energy, but it was not impossible!
Thus, Dilan made sure that the missiles in his way would explode from the impact with the destruction wind bullets he fired at them.
There was not much Power of Destruction in the bullets he released but the results were exceptional as each hit missile exploded long before it could reach its target.
Dilan continued to fall and he only slowed down when he was merely a few hundred meters above the surface. He took a deep breath and smiled lightly in the direction of the bunch of Demi Gods that entered his sight and the figure of the Sun God, the existence he had presumed to be much larger than he was.
"Yo bitches, I've come to play around a little!" Dilan shouted out loud, mana reinforcing his vocal cords. While he was shouting out loud, he activated the effect of the evolved Artifact of Traction.
It was a simple effect, the ability to taunt people, and make them focus on him, but fused with his Origin ability and evolved over and over again thanks to the growth of Undying, it became a sight to behold.
Taunt was unleashed and all living beings he willed to be targeted were immediately influenced. Dilan was stared at by millions of pairs of eyes at the same time and none of them was able to continue with what they had been doing just now.
Their whole attention had been pulled to Dilan, whose smile turned even brighter than before. He was getting excited and if not for his promise not to kill the Sun God and most of his Demi Gods, Dilan would have long since sacrificed his body hundreds of times to unleash a monsoon with the strength to destroy continents.
That was how excited he felt all of a sudden. One of his eyes turned crimson while his other eye was dyed silver. However, Dilan ended up sighing deeply.
"Do you feel weird? Confused that someone can forcefully pull your attention to somewhere else? Enraged…all of a sudden, without your realization? Unsure how someone at the fourth Tier is capable at drawing the attention of your entire army onto me?
Wondering who I am?" Dilan asked out loud, hitting the bullseye with every single question he just asked.
The Sun God stared at Dilan, the small human, trying to figure out each of the things Dilan had just mentioned.
Huge, a pair of wings with a wingspan of more than twenty meters was unfolded in front of Dilan. The wings were brown in color just like the fur that covered most parts of the Sun God's body.
His head was that of a Lion but it was deformed, and longer. It ended in the shape of a beak as well. The Sun God's featured were also sharper like that of a haw, rather than a lion. Two large yellow eyes stared down at Dilan, who didn't move a single inch. Yet, Dilan still wore the same smile as before.
Blazing flames depicting a mane shrouded the Sun God's Neck and his upper back. A large armor covered the rest of his somewhat humanoid body.
His furred and bulky arms ended up at claws and his legs were also crooked and deformed, but that was already where the Sun God's differences ended.
Oh..and he had a set ablaze tail and he was holding a crimson wand that ended up branching out at the upper end where the crimson metal engulfed a head-sized burning sun.
The head radiating from the wand was terrifying and Dilan didn't even need to activate his Mystic Eyes to understand that he had found the faux Divinity of the Sun God.
'It's a compressed sun…quite literally, isn't it?'
After the Mystic Eyes had been activated, Dilan saw a few more things than before. However, what he saw didn't make him feel a lot more excited.
He had read about Divinities for countless years in the Great Wise's Library. It was only obvious that he would be able to tell when he was looking at a good Divinity.
And the Divinity of the Sun God…was the worst first faux Divinity Dilan could have encountered.
"You just forced a burning star to surrender to you and turned that into your Divinity by compressing it…I was already wondering why Rory and the others were able to fight someone like you…looks like I have my answer now."
A mocking smile appeared on Dilan's face and he activated Taunt a few more times.
The effect of the evolved and unsealed Artifact of Traction was fully unleashed and the six-meter-tall Sun God was not able to control the sudden rage that erupted within him.
"You imbecile, die!!" He shouted out loud, raising his staff high in the air, activating the Powers of his faux Divinity. "Burn to death!"
"Eh..no thanks?"
