Chapter 705 Re-Encounter
Dilan was not sure how much time had passed when he ended up on the other side of the Lightning storm sphere but he was satisfied nonetheless.
Crimson lightning currents crackled all over his body while Dilan looked down at him.
He saw the crimson currents which he dispersed in the surrounding area before he took a look around.
"That's different than I expected," Dilan mumbled to himself as he saw the green plateau that looked more like a flowery field rather than the domain used by an Ancient Titan, whose sole mission was to perfect the Lightning God's Fist technique.
It was quite surprising because the domain looked very peaceful and full of life. There were even some animals and plants growing everywhere.
Dilan would have to lie if he were to say that he expected such a sight after the terror he had gone through to enter the Lightning Titan's Domain.
He wasn't even sure how many tens of thousands of times he died while slowly passing through the Lightning Storm sphere. It was truly a horrible experience, but it had been as bountiful as painful and traumatizing.
Pain and traumatic experiences could be overcome with a strong will, but bountiful rewards were something that couldn't be obtained everywhere.
Dilan was very thankful for the opportunity he had received because it had allowed him to achieve what he wanted to achieve.
He was more confident to fight the Lightning Titan after his encounter with the lightning storm sphere.
"Looks like an uninvited guest was able to pass through my security system…that's something new." A familiar voice resounded from behind Dilan. However, instead of being warm and filled with kindness, the voice was as sharp as a sword forged by the mightiest gods and void of warmth.
Turning to the direction where the voice came from, Dilan smiled lightly. He executed the greetings used by the royalty of the Ancient Titan race and he shrouded his entire body in lightning afterward.
The Lightning Titan, who had appeared less than a hundred meters behind Dilan looked at the overly familiar set of movements with a glint gleaming in his eyes.
"You know about it? Who told you?" The Lightning Titan asked still sharply and without any warmth. However, the sharpness was less than before.
What the nameless Lightning Titan was talking about was that Dilan greeted him as if he was a royal of the Ancient Titan race. There was a reason for the Lightning Titan to be called like that and not with a proper name like everyone else had.
Nobody knew his name or his origin. It was obvious that he belonged to the Ancient Titan race but nobody acknowledged to be related to the Lightning Titan. That was because he had been exiled from his family and his name had been removed from existence.
Thus, the genius of the royal family, the Lightning Titan, Gladius Jamil, had ceased to exist. He had never existed, in the first place!
"You told me," Dilan merely replied, a small smile on his face.
"...you also told me that you are a grumpy old man, but I couldn't believe that because I thought that I knew you well enough. However, from the looks of it, you are actually an old man."
The corners of Dilan's lip curled upward. He smiled at the Lightning Titan while completely ignoring the pressure that radiated from the monstrosity that stood in front of him.
Dilan knew why the Lightning Titan was more than ten meters in height right now, and why his body was completely purple in color without a single strand of a crimson touch visible on his body but that made things only more interesting.
'Titans can adjust their height to a minimum of four meters…and he has yet to fuse with the crimson lightning to perfect the Lightning God's Fist technique!'
Understanding the situation of the Lightning Titan very well, it was hardly possible for Dilan not to smile.
"I am not sure how a Lesser God of the human race was able to pass through the lightning storm sphere. I didn't invite you, so you may leave. I am not interested in your kind!" The Lightning Titan said before he turned away.
Dilan's smile froze and he looked at the Lightning Titan with squinted eyes.
'He is not interested? I threw so many hints at him, but he is not even interested. …I can play the same game as well, you grumpy old man!'
Dilan feigned a heavy sigh as he looked around the flowery surrounding landscape. He cleared his throat and issued a second heavy sigh.
"You are even more isolated than the Great Wise had been. How will you be able to perfect your Lightning God's Fist technique that way? I guess you've lost your touch, genius…" Dilan started. He waited for a reaction of the Lightning God, which appeared just as expected.
The Lightning Titan halted in his tracks seemingly as if he was expecting Dilan to throw an insult against his head. However, that wouldn't happen…not yet!
"Don't you know that two new Veils have been given birth? Use those Veilure bastards as your training puppets, rather than rotting in this place…"
The last remark was not an insult but more like a matter of fact. It wouldn't be easy for the Lightning Titan to perfect his unarmed technique without getting inspiration from the overwhelming opponents he fought.
That was why the Lightning Titan had been fighting the Destruction Sword Immortal for thousands of years, seeking inspiration in the Sword Style of his opponent.
"Did you come here just to tell me that I should join the fight against the Veils? That's it?"
The Lightning Titan didn't expect Dialn to mention the Veils right now. He had already been informed about the Veils and a bunch of other pieces of information, but he was not really interested in any of that.
It was not related to him, after all!
There were no overwhelmingly powerful opponents he could fight right now either…his situation was special.
"Of course not…you don't care about the Veils enough…yet!" Dilan said while bearing a sly smile.
"I have something much better for you!"
