Chapter 345 - Anxiety In The Morning
Jasmine is in the minimalist kitchen of Keenan's apartment, which is complete with modern cooking utensils. In the kitchen which is dominated by light brown wall paint, she is cooking breakfast for Keenan who is currently in the room getting ready for work.
With her mind still unsettled, Jasmine sliced onion while daydreaming about what had happened last night. She couldn't forget how Nia suddenly claimed to be her biological mother.
"Is she my mother? Then why let me be raised by Mommy Marta?"
Only that question sentence that always flashed in his mind until he accidentally cut her finger.
"Aaghh ...." Jasmine immediately sucked her bloody finger and spat into the sink then washed it with water from the faucet.
."I can't calm down until I find out the truth," Jasmine muttered then wiped her finger with a tissue, then took the first aid kit that was available in the kitchen cupboard. She took the plaster from the box and put it on her injured finger then continued the activity of cooking breakfast because Keenan would come for breakfast soon.

In his spacious room with white shades, Keenan stares at his reflection in the mirror while combing his hair which he has oiled. After combing his hair, the man sprayed some perfume on his body and then walked towards the bed.
Keenan took the tie that his wife had prepared on the bed. He draped the black-tie that matched his black tuxedo around his neck and then walked out of the room to the kitchen across the living room.
Arriving in the kitchen, Keenan smiled when he saw his beautiful wife wearing a red knee-length dress combined with a pink top and pinning some of her hair back. He immediately approached his wife who was cooking and then wrapped her arms around her waist from behind.
"What are you cooking?" Keenan asked while kissing Jasmine's hair.
"Beef rib soup," Jasmine replied with a still cold expression. Since last night, she didn't even smile because her mind was in a mess. There was no hot action on the bed between her and Keenan.
"Can I ask you something?" whispered Keenan.
"What?" Jasmine asked, turning off the stove because she was done cooking.
Keenan turned Jasmine to face him then cupped her cheeks with both hands so that their eyes met.
"Don't be sad. I don't like to see my beautiful wife keep bending her face when she's with me...I miss my wife who is innocent and sweet, not that curt and always sad like this," Keenan exclaimed as he looked into Jasmine's eyes intensely.
Jasmine lowered her head and held Keenan's left hand to her cheek. "I can't stop thinking about last night...I'm confused, I don't know who to trust."
Keenan shook his head then lowered his forehead to his wife's forehead while whispering, "Don't be confused or think too much. Because if she is your mother, she will come to explain, make you believe...You just have to wait."
"If she's my mother, what about mommy Marta?" Jasmine asked, looking up at Keenan's dark blue eyes that seemed to always fascinate him.
"Mommy Marta is still your mom because she raised you. Even though I'm annoyed at her attitude for being greedy and not being nice to you, I have to be respectful because she raised you, took care of you until she handed you over to me," Keenan exclaimed.
"Will Mrs. Nia come here?" she asked.
"she'll come if she's sorry she abandoned you. I've already sent her the address of this apartment. If she's sorry and wants to fix things, she'll come by herself without us asking." Keenan explained while gently caressing Jasmine's cheek with his sturdy fingers, then lowered his head to kiss her pink lips.
"Morning kiss of peace," he whispered as he kissed her lips.
Jasmine smiled faintly and then kissed Keenan's lips again, tiptoeing. "And you always make me feel comfortable and at peace. Thank you, my love."
Keenan felt butterflies flying above his head. He smiled at Jasmine, who was now good at the sweet talk and wanted to call her "my love" without any more awkwardness. The two-week honeymoon in Japan brought many changes for her from being awkward to being more intimate and open.
"I love you." Keenan kissed Jasmine's forehead as he wrapped his arms around his wife's waist.
"I love you too." Jasmine tiptoed to kiss Keenan's cheek then let go of his embrace and turned back to focus on her cooked food. "You better wait at the dining table, I'll prepare breakfast for both of us."
Keenan sighed as he looked at his wife who was moving the soup from the pot to the bowl. "I'll be waiting there," he said.
---
Keyra and Kevin are having breakfast in the dining room with their parents. They already looked as neat as they were about to leave. Usually, they are still lazing in the room.
Keyra wore blue jeans combined with a white top and carried a cream-colored branded bag, letting her brown hair flow beautifully and wearing natural makeup. Kevin is no less cool by wearing black jeans combined with a yellow t-shirt and wearing a leather jacket with a skull print on the back.
"Where are you going, early in the morning is it neat?" asked Luna while getting rice and side dishes for Ethan who was already tidy because he was going to the office.
"I'm going to Keenan's apartment," Keyra answered then glanced at Kevin who was still enjoying his breakfast. "If Kevin doesn't know where to go?"
"I'm going to the repair shop to modify the car," Kevin said with his mouth still full of food.
"What's wrong with your car again?" asked Ethan, looking suspiciously at his son who had a hobby of racing on the highway.
"It's okay, dad. I just want to add variety, so it's cool," Kevin replied casually looking at his father who didn't like it.
"Don't let you race again, or daddy transfers you to Singapore," Ethan shouted in a firm tone, making the breakfast atmosphere heat up.
Luna sighed, glancing at Ethan, who forgot his habit when he was young and also likes speeding. Kevin was like a reflection of himself but he didn't realize it. The middle-aged woman chose for her to listen to the conversation between the child and her husband.
"Breakfast doesn't need to be much talk, because if you two fight, it will make my appetite disappear," Keyra murmured, glancing at her father and brother.
"Daddy started first." Kevin glanced at his father who was having breakfast.
"Daddy wouldn't be mad if you weren't weird..some of my coworkers often see you and your friends at the bar," Ethan grumbled with disapproval.
Luna just shook her head, remembering that Ethan also liked to drink alcohol but didn't realize that Kevin was like that because he imitated his habits.
"If you love mommy, you have to stop that bad habit, Kevin. Mommy doesn't want you to be moved to Singapore," Luna said in a reminding tone.
"It would be fun if I moved there...Grandma will fulfill all my wishes without exception," Kevin muttered and then went back to eating his food which was rice with a side dish of spicy soy sauce chicken made by his mother.
Keyra smiled faintly, glancing at Kevin, who said that he would like to be moved to Singapore. "You will regret it if you move there. Grandma will restrain you even more because Grandma will prepare bodyguards to guard and watch over you."
"Is that true?" Kevin didn't seem to believe what his older sister said.
"Try it, because while I was there, grandma always asked the bodyguard to watch over and take care of me," said Keyra casually.
"Grandma did it the best for you, Keyra. Not to curb." Ethan asserted while remembering that he was also always escorted by bodyguards with Luna as well because of the terror of the late Edward's crimes. sometimes, he still wasn't sure that Edward's child was dead, because he had heard that Hans was still frequenting the mental hospital with a young man who might have been Sarah's baby had given birth to...
