Chapter 28: A Free Villa and Three C-Level Cards – What a Treat!

Principal’s Office.

“Hehe, young man, won’t you explain the reason your world expanded a hundredfold overnight?”

Teacher Li and Chi Lansu also looked at him with curiosity.

Even Director Wang, pretending to organise files nearby, perked up his ears.

“Director, let me help you organise these.”

The supervising teacher from yesterday and a few other teachers also found excuses to stay in the principal’s office.

Everyone was scratching their heads, utterly confused.

Seeing Su Bai’s relaxed demeanour and faint smile, the old principal chuckled:

“Of course, it’s understandable if it’s inconvenient to say.”

“The school’s subsidies to you won’t be affected.”

“There’s nothing inconvenient about it.”

To everyone’s surprise, Su Bai responded casually.

Sitting on the sofa, he began narrating the extraordinary adventure from the night before.

“Just like the other students, I went home, sank my consciousness into the world, and planned to manage it slowly.”

“Everything was going fine until, out of nowhere, I saw a massive meteor—or more accurately, a fragment of land—heading straight for my world.”

“At first, I thought it was the end, but unexpectedly, when the land fragment collided with my world, it merged seamlessly.”

“As a result, my world’s origin increased a hundredfold. I could also sense that the laws embedded in the world fragment had not yet decayed, meaning it had only recently broken apart.”

“These laws merged with my world, making its foundation incredibly solid.”

When Su Bai finished speaking, the room fell so silent you could hear a pin drop.

“I thought surviving a cosmic storm was already miraculous,” Chi Lansu said with an odd expression, “but compared to your falling meteor, mine seems mundane.”

Her face twisted in disbelief, yet she accepted his explanation. Otherwise, there was no other way to explain how his world expanded a hundredfold overnight.

“A world fragment that hasn’t run dry? The odds of that happening are probably 0.00001%!”

“And you actually encountered it?” Director Wang, who had been eavesdropping, couldn’t help but interject.

“Little student, it sounds like you’re just making something up to trick us, aren’t you?”

“The universe is vast, and your world is newly born with little gravitational pull. Why would it attract such a fragment?”

“My world spans 320 kilometres, yet I’ve never seen any fragments.”

The teachers couldn’t hold it in anymore. They found the whole story too far-fetched.

However, Teacher Li believed him.

“It’s true,” the old principal said, his tone complex. “To my knowledge, a fifth-tier planet did indeed collapse last night.”

“As the planet fell, it’s reasonable that it reached the lowest dimension, where newborn worlds reside. While the chance of a world fragment hitting an emerging world is slim, it’s entirely possible.”

Indeed, Su Bai was using the well-known collapse of Hulk Planet to explain the situation.

Since he had benefited from part of the collapse, it wasn’t exactly a lie.

The teachers exchanged looks, each seeing the surprise in the other’s eyes.

“This year, our school’s luck is truly extraordinary. One student encounters a world fragment, another survives a cosmic storm. Both misfortunes turned into blessings. Truly once-in-a-lifetime events happening together.”

“You two really are a pair of destined rivals, perfectly suited for each other,” Teacher Li teased with a smile.

“It’s not like that,” Chi Lansu replied, her face slightly red.

“All right, the rest of you may leave now,” the old principal said, waving his hand.

The teachers tactfully left the room.

As he left, Teacher Li gave Su Bai a sly look, encouraging him to take full advantage of the situation.

Before long, the principal’s office was empty, leaving only the three of them.

“Let’s first talk about your situation,” the principal said, turning to Chi Lansu.

“I’ve already seen your Snow and Ice World in the projection room.

“It’s not just any ordinary ice world—it maintains winter year-round, can naturally generate snowmen, and condenses the Heart of Ice and Snow. Its potential is far more complex than it seems.”

“In the future, it might even give birth to Winter Generals and Snow Maidens. Your priority should be guiding it towards civilisation, preparing against fire-based enemies, and getting ready for the upcoming entrance exams.”

As he spoke, he flipped over a blue card.

“This is a C-level resource card, ‘Winter Crucian Carp’, which can create abundant food beneath the ice. It’s exactly what you need most right now.”

“Hehe, thank you, Principal.”

Chi Lansu accepted the blue card with joy.

“Bringing a good ranking to our school will be the best way to repay me,” the principal reminded her with a shake of his head.

“But be careful. A world as cold as yours might start to affect you physically and mentally.”

“What Teacher Lü said earlier about balancing fire and water does have some merit.”

“I refuse to be paired with those disgusting Lizardmen!” Chi Lansu replied, looking repulsed.

“My world will eventually have some fire-based subordinates. When the time comes, I’ll send them over for a vacation at your place,” Su Bai teased.

“As long as the two worlds are in contact, it’ll be fine.”

Su Bai wasn’t too concerned. In fact, he was even considering taking the Lord of the Four Seas along with the Kotoa Mermen to train in the Ice and Snow World.

Wouldn’t that be like fertilising both worlds, helping them thrive?

After all, the Mermen were water-based creatures, so it was a real possibility.

“Unfortunately, your encounter was a one-time thing,” the principal said regretfully. “Once you’ve exhausted the world fragment’s energy in the next few days, that will be the end of it.”

“I’d rather believe you had some other hidden fortune you’re not sharing.”

“One step at a time,” Su Bai replied with a faint smile. “The universe is vast. Who knows, maybe another meteor will hit me.”

Chi Lansu and the principal could only respond with silent disbelief.

Encountering something a thousand times rarer than winning the lottery?

If that happens, you must be the chosen one of the universe.

“Enough. The school has treated you poorly in the past, but now that you have that Dragon Blood card, what other help do you need? The school will do its best to make up for it,” the principal continued.

Su Bai thought for a moment. “I’m short on basic resources like water source cards, food cards, and species cards. These need to be accumulated gradually.”

“Oh, and the place I live in right now isn’t great. Doesn’t the school have housing allocations? How about giving me a quiet, spacious place to live?”

“Housing is a small matter. It’s not fitting for a rising star to live in such accommodations,” the principal agreed, nodding.

He took out a set of keys from his drawer.

“I have a private villa at Lakeside Park. Consider it yours as compensation for the school’s earlier negligence.”

“Oh no, I couldn’t possibly accept this,” Su Bai said, but his hand quickly took the keys.

“These are three C-level cards: ‘Heavy Rainfall,’ ‘Delicious Meat Pig,’ and ‘The Encyclopedia of a Thousand Basic Flora and Fauna.’

He revealed three cards, each a different colour.

The Delicious Meat Pig was the most popular and affordable food source in the multiverse.

It grows fat just by eating grass and drinking water, and its entire body is edible and delicious.

It was a species specifically bred by human civilisation for consumption.

As for The Flora and Fauna Encyclopedia, it’s a renowned beginner’s tool, a C+ level card worth 800 Dalus.

“Thanks.”

“In seven days, I’ll give you a surprise. Be prepared to be swarmed by national media,” Su Bai said with a playful grin as he accepted the cards, feeling what it was like to be treated as a genius.

Receiving cards worth over 10 million for free was no small matter.

He said it jokingly, but the two of them thought he was exaggerating.

Yet, many truths are often told in jest.

“Haha, if that happens, I’ll have no regrets in life,” the principal said with a laugh.

“By the way, this year’s entrance exam will be extremely challenging, with unprecedented competition,” he added.

“And the rewards will be more generous than ever!”

“If you’re truly confident about excelling in the exams, I can invest in you early with a B-level card.”

“Just like I invested in Xiang Hu’s Dragon Blood card.”

“Do you dare to take the challenge?”
