Chapter 588 588. MAIN PATH

Soon the others arrived and only when their numbers reached thirteen in total did anyone stop coming. According to the plan laid out beforehand, the six others would play certain roles at the rescue point.

Their destination was a nice tower isolated from the rest of the central region. It stood on a hill surrounded by a small formation of trees, big enough to block out the eyes of the public from events occurring in its compound.

According to the info they had gotten, a number of 5 individuals guarded the perimeter of the tower's compound.

The path up the hill was also filled with various methods for tracking whoever walked its paths. Thankfully trees also surrounded that path meaning they could bypass some of the methods by simply going off-road.

Unfortunately, even at that, they would need to cross the wall that led into the tower's compound. It was mainly short, but according to what they heard possessed some of the best protections available in the city.

The tower belonged to an elven official of the order. Possessing a high position, he could obtain certain privileges. One of them being top protection.

It wasn't impossible to enter, however, since all they needed to do was go through the main gate.

It normally would have been hard to carry a group as large as that through the gate, but that was where Aiden's inscriptions would come in.

All thirteen of them would approach the tower, but about half of them would cause a diversion, while the rest would enter the tower. The six that weren't with them were in charge of scouting the towers surrounding before the rescue group got in.

They were also the ones who had gathered all that info, the only issue being that they knew next to nothing about the tower's insides.

Information concerning it was scarce, and it was even rumored that oaths were taken just for entering. None of them wanted to be bound by any oaths.

They were in the dark concerning the actual layout of the tower's insides, this was the reason, Noah and James would both be going in with four others. Erolia wouldn't be going with him. They would need to silence the guards or at least keep them busy.

The group had prepared magical methods for that. Noah wasn't the only inscriptionist In their midst so he remained silent about being able to lock in the events within that space.

"At the end of the day, all we can do is rely on each other to carry out certain tasks. We don't have all the information. But that's okay. Our abilities have already proved us capable of carrying out this task," James addressed the group, while the others not present listened through a communication amulet.

"I wish us all good luck and strength." He ended his words and they nodded in unison, except Noah and Erolia of course.

Before too long they began their journey toward the entrance of the central region.

Normally to get in they would need to fight their way in, but thanks to the fact that James and three others had gotten in. They were allowed to bring a small group with them.

They split up and went into the city at different intervals.

Noah entered with James and the insides of the secured region unfolded in his silver gaze.

Tall structures that did not look like they belonged to the Cusk nation appeared in his eyes. The area which could be considered a city on its own was abundant with green and yellow lights.

First due to the barrier that covered the city, and also because of the inscriptions that ran along the streets and the buildings of that region. Also, the magical trees grew at seemingly random positions in the city.

It looked like they had left the Cusk nation, as even the mana quality in that place was excellent. The level of power the residents of that region held remained high-end. Moreover, elves were everywhere.

After thirty years, that sight was to be expected. They had made the central region of the huge city their home. A base for the order and its forces.

They began their journey toward the region of the city that held the tower. Standing on the eastern side of the city that group walked across the streets and when they got far enough from public eyes they simply started to run.

Noah never stopped trying to understand the various things he saw, The elves were truly on a different level compared to those on Cusk. He wondered how they had managed to last as long as thirty years battling that force.

It took them a bit over twenty minutes to arrive at the small town right before the hill.

It was bigger than Noah expected and featured far more trees than those who explained had spoken about.

They blended in since humans also existed within that place. Either looking to get jobs from the order or already on jobs for them.

In short, their presence wasn't suspicious.

They had decided to move in the small groups they adopted during their entry into the central region and each of them approached the hill in the distance. The tower's top was already visible even from their position.

Noah unfolded his consciousness, allowing it to sweep over the hill and inspect most of its details.

He found nothing exactly catchy to the eyes, especially after their journey through the city.

Heck, that place would be considered less flashy than what they had seen in previous portions of the central region.

Still.

"This is as much as they said it would be. I wonder how they managed to figure them out so quickly." Noah commented as certain details became evident to his superior senses.

The person that had set up the defenses knew exactly what they were doing. It was a marvel.

The average tier 4 expert would need to know what they were looking for to find it, if not, it would not occur to their senses.

The moment they got to the base of the hill their figures sped forth in silence after Noah shared his inscriptions.

They fanned out, leaving the main path empty.
