Chapter 709 Too Much Coincidence
Villain Ch 709. Too Much Coincidence
Allen, oblivious to Azura's thoughts, quickly settled the bill with a few taps on his phone. He then pocketed his phone and turned his attention back to Azura, a warm smile on his face.
"All set," he said, gesturing towards the exit. "Ready to head back?"
Azura nodded, a faint smile gracing her lips. "Yes," she replied.
They stepped out of the cafe, the crisp air greeting them.

"Thank you for the meal," Azura said with a smile, adjusting the strap of her bag on her shoulder.
"No problem," Allen replied casually.
"Um…" She hummed hesitantly, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "You know, I think I'd better go to Goldborne's Mansion by myself," she said, her tone uncertain. "Not because I'm suspicious of you, of course," she hurried to add, her cheeks flushing slightly. "I don't want them to misunderstand our relationship," she continued, her words tumbling out in a rush.
"It would be bad if they thought you were my boyfriend or something," she said with a nervous laugh, trying to lighten the mood.
Allen raised an eyebrow, his expression thoughtful. "I understand," he said, his voice calm and reassuring. "Just be careful, okay?" Allen said, his voice tinged with concern as they stood outside the cafe. He gestured towards the front right. "If you want to grab a taxi, you can wait there," he instructed, his eyes scanning the street for any sign of approaching vehicles.
She nodded, her expression thoughtful. "I will," she replied softly, her gaze drifting towards the bustling street. Despite her reassurances, a lingering sense of apprehension gnawed at her.
"Also, do you mind exchanging phone numbers?" she asked suddenly, her voice hesitant. She didn't want to sever ties with Allen completely, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to his story.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Sure," Allen agreed readily, reaching for his phone. They exchanged numbers quickly, the transaction smooth and effortless.
Azura typed in her contact information. She hoped staying in touch with Allen would be a good idea. Plus, having his number might come in handy if she needed to reach out to him in the future.
After bidding Allen goodbye, Azura stepped out of the upscale café, the breeze greeting her as she exited. She took a moment to adjust to the bustling street scene around her before making her way towards the taxi queue, following Allen's instructions.
Once she approached the designated spot, Azura noticed that there was no one else waiting in line except for her. A sense of relief washed over her, knowing that she wouldn't have to wait long for a taxi to arrive. She quickly made her way to the front of the queue and hailed the first available cab.
The taxi driver pulled over promptly, and Azura wasted no time in climbing into the back seat. She settled herself comfortably and gave the driver the address of her destination. The driver nodded in acknowledgment and set off.
The taxi made its way through the city streets. Azura found herself lost in a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. Her fingers tapped absentmindedly on her phone screen as she scrolled through her contacts, stopping on Allen's number.
Her heart still raced with the memory of their interaction at the café. The way Allen's lips had brushed against her fingertips as he took the macaroon from her hand sent a shiver down her spine. It was a moment that had caught her off guard, yet left her feeling oddly exhilarated.
Despite her initial reservations and the nagging doubts in the back of her mind, Azura couldn't deny the flutter of excitement that bubbled within her. There was something undeniably intriguing about Allen, something that drew her in despite her better judgment.
As she stared at Allen's number on her phone screen, Azura couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them. Would they meet again? Would she finally uncover the truth about his connection to Goldborne? The questions swirled in her mind, leaving her eager for answers yet apprehensive of what she might discover.
'What am I thinking?' she reminded herself. Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. She had been lost in her own musings and decided to enjoy the sights of the city passing by. But when she caught sight of the familiar black motorcycle following her from behind in the rearview mirror, her thoughts came to a screeching halt.
"Huh?" Azura muttered, leaning forward in her seat to get a better look. Her brow furrowed in confusion as she squinted at the figure on the motorcycle. It didn't take long for her to realize that it was Allen, unmistakable even from a distance with his sleek bike.
'Wait... why is he following me?!' she thought in panic.
Panic bubbled up inside her as she tried to make sense of the situation. What could possibly be his motive? A thousand questions raced through her mind, each one more frantic than the last.
The taxi continued on its path and Azura couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled over her. She cast furtive glances out the window, trying to come up with a plan of action. Should she confront Allen? Should she ask the taxi driver to pull over and confront him? Or should she simply ignore him and hope that he would go away?
In the end, Azura decided to bide her time and wait for the right moment to address the situation. She didn't want to jump to conclusions or make any rash decisions. For now, she would keep a close eye on Allen's movements and trust her instincts to guide her next move. After all, she had no idea what Allen's intentions were, and she wasn't about to take any chances. It could be just a coincidence.
Azura's mind raced with a sense of unease as she grappled with the realization that Allen's appearance was no mere coincidence. "No... Too much coincidence isn't a coincidence," she muttered under her breath, the words echoing her growing sense of apprehension.
