"The stabilization is functioning." – said doctor.

"And so are the mutations…. They are perfect!" – said extremely excited necromancer.

"Yea… But the best part is that the undead is still doing well…. "– said doctor while inspecting the body of the undead.

"Dwarf."

"What about the heart? Is it working properly like heart?"

"Yes."

"It is…. However, the problem is the necrotic energy and the mutation. If we don't deal with it, then it won't work properly and it will kill the user and or undead."

"This is obvious… But the metal we had created should do the trick, right?" – asked necromancer.

"It should."

"We had prepared all the necessary parts for the heart creation, ranging from the metals that were made using alchemy combining various metals, dread predator bones."

"As for the veins and the energy bank, they are both finished as well."

"The only thing lefts seems to be assemble and beside that we also need to do the jump start like we discussed in order to make the heart activate."

"Well, it was obvious."

"The heart need to be able to beat before we will have an ability to be put inside somebody." – said necromancer.

"But now we secured the last remaining data we needed to create the unliving heart." – said doctor.

"We should be ready now to create it."

"?!"

"Wait! Really?! We have enough data?!" – said excited necromancer.

"Yea… But we need to check few things, adjust some parts and also check everything twice to make sure that the heart will succeed." – said doctor.

"…. Yea, you are right." – said necromancer who calmed down.

After checking that everything was fine and everything enough time, we started preparing for the unliving heart creation.

The all necessary things are in place.

The data we had obtained from out experiments.

And the materials.

If somebody is wonder, no. The dread predator materials are not enough to create.

We needed to use the dread predator materials as well as some other materials like metals and used advance alchemy and blacksmithing to create special materials.

But that was also not enough.

So, the necromancer pulled out this thing.

He didn't even told us about it until recently and I can kind of see why.

This isn't some random item or anything like that…. I honestly wonder how did he get hands on this thing… Well probably illegally since he is a criminal and terrorist.

For now, all of focused on the unliving heart.

All the necessary materials have been prepared, now comes the real challenges.

We now need to assemble the unliving heart.

It may sound easy, but there are few problems.

Right now, the unliving heart isn't a real thing, but instead scraps. If we fuck up even a little bit before the heart is fully created and empowered, the heart will be destroyed.

The unliving heart creation: Start.

I won't lie, as soon as we started making this thing, I got extremely nervous. But also excited.

It was like assembling a pocked watch… But kind of also a living organ? I mean it is a pseudo living organ and everything that should work like heart.

Anyway, it was both stressful, but also interesting.

It did took us sometime since we trying to be extremely careful, but the heart was assembled.

"Huh…. It doesn't look like a heart now that we had assembled it." – said the dwarf while looking at the not living unliving heart.

"Yea…I though it would look somewhat similar to a normal heart, but more mechanical…. But this? It's a sphere." – said Doctor.

On the table lied an assemble Unliving Heart.

However, despise its name, it did not looked remotely like a heart.

If anything, it was a metallic sphere that looked like it was made out of some sort of artificial skin.

Beside the heart looking like the sphere, there was four bulges sticking out from different directions.

"Yea… I mean… It worked when we tested in on undeads… So even though its not really heart shaped, it should work like heart." – said necromancer.

"True. We did tested it." – said dwarf.

"But you know… They were experimental version. I though we would make it look somewhat similar to the normal heart at least."

"Well, does it matter? I mean how it look on outside?" – said doctor.

"The insides of this things are quite complicated and everything."

"…True. It should work the way we want it to…... Even though its not really shaped like heart." – said necromancer.

"Oh well…. We still that to do."

"…. Now comes the real test…." – said the necromancer while pointing at the device hanging from the ceiling.

"Yea… We need to jump start this thing and make it beat." – said dwarf.

"And if we don't do this correctly or we assembled the heart in incorrect way, then we are screwed." – said doctor.

"…. Fuck. Let's just do it."

"Yea."

The trio carefully took out the unactive unliving heart to the table that was right beneath the device that was filled with rough necrotic element before then detaching tubes like devices from it and attaching it to the sticking out bulges.

"…."

"That was the last one." – said dwarf while backing away.

(It took us… So much effort and time.) – though the necromancer while holding a lever.

Necromancer pulled the lever and moments later the necrotic mana began pumping into the heart.

Few seconds later, the heart began having a faint beating.

"…."

"I-its…. Its working!" – said dwarf.

The necromancer pulled the lever bit lower, making more necrotic mana pump into the heat and making it now more visible beat.

"…."

"Slowly…." – said doctor.

Necromancer lowered the lever bit more, then again, then again and once again.

The heart was beating more and more each time the lever was pulled down.

And now, the lever was pulled at the lowest point and the maximal amount of necrotic mana was now being pumped into the heart.

The heart itself began beating at rapid rate, expanding and shrinking with each bit just like real heart.

Doctor alongside dwarf backed away from the heart for their own safety as the parts of the heart began changing color from silver to dark green.

Before long all of the stored energy entered the heart and the rapid beat of the heart was slowing down more and more as the trio looked extremely nervously.

Before long the heart beat completely stopped…... However few seconds later it began beating again, now on its own.

"?!"

"D-did it worked?" – asked dwarf.

"…."

Doctor approached the heart and looked at it.

"…."

"?!"

"YES! IT DID WORKED! LOOK!" – said doctor while turning around.

The necromancer quickly run towards the table and saw unliving heart now fully activated.

"WITH THIS! I WILL DESTORY THIS FUKING KINGDOM THAT ROBBED ME OF EVERYTHING!"

Suddenly the necromancer top half of his back of his head was completely blowed up with a loud bang as if a gun was fired.

The necromancer fallen on the ground, barely moving before then Phantasia raised his foot above necromancer head and used skill [Power Kick] before then stepping on the necromancer head, crushing it.

This was so sudden to the point that the dwarf could only stare completely confused, but few seconds later he regained himself and looked down, realized what just happened in this short span of time

The necromancer was just killed by the doctor without warning.

"Shouldn't let your guard down, buddy." – said Phantasia while looking now at the remains of the necromancer dead body.
