VRMMORPG: Dragomancer Reborn

Arthur watched as a stone beast appeared from the darkness.

Its green eyes glowed like lanterns in the shadows while a cold power emanated from it's rock body. Arthur continued running before jumping into a small corridor that split from the path.

"The rest is up to you," Arthur muttered as he quickly hid in the shadows.

ONGH!

The Razer Tusk Boar was ignorant of the danger in front of it. To the beast, only the scent of Arthur was attractive as the other rock beast seemed to be no different than the rest of the corridor.

This was exactly what Arthur had been betting on.

'This one is stronger than the others I've faced so far and also the biggest.' Arthur thought.

He knew that the Razer Tusk Boar had a good sense of smell and found its food using it while the guardians were a mob that targeted the being with the highest threat level. This was also why Arthur had faced weaker guardians before and also why their numbers were low.

But now that a mob stronger than any other had appeared within the limits of the Kestrel Ruins, there was no way the other guardians would stay dormant.

HOWL!

The wolf guardian let out a howl that caught the attention of the Razer Tusk Boar. The Howl was filled with malice, as if questioning the beast that had dared to intrude upon its territory.

ONGH!?

The Razer Tusk Boar couldn't ignore the being in front of it anymore and saw it move.

The Wolf guardian ran like the wind and jumped the Razer Tusk Boar. It's speed was surprisingly fast considering it was made out of rocks.

ONGHAAAA!

The Razer Tusk Boar had never expected a beast to suddenly attack it first. The stone fangs of the wolf guardian penetrated the tough hide and fur of the Boar and sank into its flesh. Dark red blood was drawn out, while the boar let out a cry of anger and pain.

'It actually doubled!' Seeing the falling HP of the Razer Tusk Boar, Arthur was quite pleased.

THUD! CRACK!

But it seemed like the Raze Tusk Boar have had enough, as it directly slammed its body into the walls of the corridor. The Wolf Guardian who was trying to rip out the boar's flesh was unable to do so and was smashed between the wall and the boar's body.

A cracking sound was heard as its rocks smashed together as well.

It was forced to let go and fell down, while the Razer Tusk Boar took a few steps back. The Horn of the Ten pronged deer that was stuck in its body also fell off from the collision, increasing the bleeding.

'Will it be able to kill the guardian too?' Arthur was still unsure. "You still have a task to finish." He muttered.

As much as he wanted the Razer Tusk Boar to die, he didn't want it to die here. Arthur merely wanted the beast to get weaker.

He simply watched as the two beasts fought fiercely. The Wolf Guardian used its strong claws and fangs to attack the Razer Tusk Boar, while the tank of a beast used its large body to slam into the rock beast repeatedly.

If it were any other beast, they would have been battered to death with several bones shattered. But to a beast made out of rock, there was no such thing as broken bones and pain. All that the rock beast knew was to eliminate the threat in front of it.

CRACK!

THUD!

The fight between the two beasts was intense as they moved around the corridor, leaving marks on the stone floor and walls. Eventually, they had moved so far back that they were just a few meters from the entrance.

'Best time to get ahead.' Arthur thought as he sneaked out from the side corridor and entered the main one.

He went as far as he could while keeping to the shadows. After all, there was no guarantee that another guardian would jump out. All the while, the battle between the boar and the wolf continued.

CRUMBLE!

Unfortunately for the guardian, it could not prevail over the foe as its limbs was broken apart.

The raw strength of the Razer Tusk Boar was still overwhelming and managed to do what Arthur was unable to. It broke apart the body of the guardian, leaving it a sitting duck.

The eerie green eyes of the wolf guardian stared down the Razer Tusk Boar fearlessly as it slammed into it. And when only the torso of the rock beast was left, the boar trampled upon it, hitting the weakness of the beast as well.

And just like that, Arthur's experience bar had once again exceeded the fifty percent mark. At the same time, the Razer Tusk Boar's HP had fallen below the 50% mark.

Turning his neck, Arthur used the Inspect skill from afar.

'Not just its HP, but its MP has fallen a lot too. Guess its constant charging came at the expense of MP too.' Arthur noted.

It was all good news to Arthur nonetheless as it made his task easier.

The Razer Tusk Boar picked up the scent of Arthur once more and began its charge toward him again!

"Come, this'll be the last charge you ever do!"
