“Hah—” Huang Feiyun flew into a fit of rage, and each slash was faster than the previous one.

Xiao Qi suddenly thrust out her finger.

“Ding...” Huang Feiyun’s long blade stopped abruptly. Xiao Qi’s light finger had struck the long blade as if it was a gigantic boulder.

Chu Li acted the moment Xiao Qi thrust her finger. It looked as if both movements had occurred simultaneously; Chu Li was extremely confident of Xiao Qi’s martial arts.

“Chi!” A glint of metal could be seen as a flying blade pierced through Huang Feiyun’s chest unobstructed, sending blood splattering across the nearby pillar.

“Ah...” Huang Feiyun widened his eyes in disbelief.

On the other hand, Chu Li smiled playfully. “While my martial arts has indeed been crippled, firing one or two flying blades wouldn’t pose much of a problem to me. So, how did my blade taste?”

“I’ll murder you!” Huang Feiyun howled.

He had never expected himself to be debilitated by Chu Li, who he had considered insignificant. As such, he found the humiliation hard to swallow.

However, his howl soon lost its ferocity. He felt as if his energy had been sapped away by the flying blade and that air was leaking from his right chest, causing him to lose the strength to even speak.

“If I were you, I would quickly apply some emergency treatment on myself.” Chu Li stepped back while he shook his head.

Even the four experts standing around Huang Feiyun found the situation hard to believe. There was not an ounce of inner energy flowing within Chu Li, and this was true even when he threw the flying blade. It was as if Chu Li had thrown the blade through sheer physical strength alone which made the experts bewildered.

Using the opportunity while the four experts were distracted, Xiao Qi hastened her attacks. With only a single slash each, she crippled the four experts.

Chu Li nodded his head in satisfaction while he clapped his hands. “Finally, the matter has been settled! Huang Feiyun, you have two days to clean up our residence. Otherwise, not only will you lose your martial arts the next time, but your limbs as well!”

“Fine!” Huang Feiyun’s bloodshot eyes were dripping with pure vehemence.

Xiao Qi walked towards him and stabbed her sword directly into his Dantian.

“You—!” Huang Feiyun glared at Xiao Qi.

However, Xiao Qi was nonchalant. She did not utter a single word.

Chu Li asked, “Huang Feiyun, I heard that you’re able to recover your martial arts very quickly. Are you hiding some kind of secret skill?”

Huang Feiyun sneered, “What, are you interested in learning?”

Chu Li nodded. “Well, if you teach me this secret skill, then I might be able to spare you. Otherwise, we’ll visit you every few days and cripple your martial arts every time we meet. Let’s see whose recovery will be faster, ours or yours?”

“Keep dreaming!” Huang Feiyun jested.

Chu Li shook his head and sighed, “Why do you do this to yourself?”

Xiao Qi walked towards an elder. With a flash of her blade, she sliced off the elder’s tendons and the elder’s left arm went limp.

“Ah!” the elder howled in anger.

Despite that, Xiao Qi looked at him indifferently.

As she could see through one’s intentions, she knew that the elder was one that often bullied others. For that, there was no way that she would let him off that easily.

After that, she walked towards another elder and once again, she sliced off the elder’s left tendon.

Once that was done, she approached the next elder. Paying no heed to the elder backing away from her, she sliced off his left tendon.

Her footsteps did not stop, and at long last, she reached the final elder.

“Stop right there! I’ll talk!” Huang Feiyun hurriedly cried out.

Xiao Qi’s methods were too cruel. Even if he could last through the torment and protect the secret skill, he would end up a loner due to his abandonment of brethren. Furthermore, after watching how cruel Third Lady Xiao’s methods were, he highly doubted that he could persevere through her torture techniques.

Chu Li scoffed, “A wise man acts when the moment is right. If you’ve spoken earlier, your fellow comrades would’ve never have had to suffer!”

“I obtained the secret manual by pure chance! It’s hidden inside my house!” Huang Feiyun shouted.

Chu Li nodded. “Then what’re you waiting for? Let’s go!”

Huang Feiyun snorted, “Let them off first. Otherwise, I refuse to hand it over, even if it costs me my life!”

Chu Li shook his head. “What’s with all the smoke and mirrors? If I let them off, they’re bound to report this incident and call in the subordinates that you’ve secretly trained. Am I right?”

Jin Wu and the other eight were not the only experts under Huang Feiyun’s wing as he had also secretly trained six others. Huang Feiyun had obtained these connections through the use of his secret skill and usually, they made no contact with Feiyun. However, when the need arises, they would definitely show up.

These experts were the aces up Huang Feiyun’s sleeves to switch the tides. Usually, his opponents would let their guard down after they have gained the upper hand, which made it the opportune moment for his experts to strike.

Huang Feiyun’s heart had frozen solid, but he still did his best to maintain a confident look. “Are you afraid?”

His expression was all the proof Chu Li needed, as it practically had the word ‘guilty’ written all over it.

Chu Li laughed, “Hmm, you probably wouldn’t want to cause any unnecessary problems. So, I’m confident that these people wouldn’t report the situation. Am I right?”

Huang Feiyun glared at Chu Li coldly.

He had already canceled his plans to call for backup as those secret experts could only serve as ambush troops. While they were extremely effective when his opponents had loosened their guard, it was no longer the case once the element of surprise was lost. Now that he could no longer turn the tides, Feiyun would rather wait until everyone’s martial arts had recovered so that they could gang up on Chu Li!

“You seem like a sensible person, so move it.”

Huang Feiyun took in a deep breath. “Fine, I submit. You can’t kill me anyway.’

One was forbidden from killing anyone within the city limits. It was an iron rule set by the Emperor, just like the rule where people from different families were not allowed to live together for long periods of time. The moment someone was to break these rules, it was not the Town Defense Prefecture that would make the move, but those from within and outside the city.

Chu Li commented, “If I can quickly recover my martial arts with your secret skill, I will not trouble you any longer!”

Huang Feiyun snorted as he furrowed his brows.

‘Chu Li is already so powerful without his martial arts. Since Chu Li is capable of injuring me, wouldn’t his strength be overwhelming once he has recovered his martial arts? The name of Head Chief Chu Li is renowned throughout the Fairy’s Capital and I now see that this is no farce. Who knows how much more experts the Fairy’s Capital holds?’

Chu Li barked, “I’m warning you, don’t you try to snake your way out of this. Otherwise, your comrades are in a load of trouble!”

“Just move it!” Huang Feiyun barked in return.

Xiao Qi grabbed Huang Feiyun with one hand, and she placed the other on Chu Li’s shoulders. Then, she leaped out of the window and glided away like the wind.

As she could read Huang Feiyun’s thoughts, she knew exactly where he lived.

Soon after, they landed onto a small, cramped residence.

This residence was much more dilapidated than Xu Huande’s. Moreover, it was nearly impossible to believe that this property was owned by the high and mighty Huang Feiyun, as he himself rarely lived in the residence.

After making his way into the residence, Huang Feiyun entered a room, plopped open a piece of wood and took out a small box. He then handed it to Chu Li and said, “This contains the secret skill in which I’ve found by accident. It allows one to rapidly recover their martial arts!”

Chu Li did not know whether to laugh or cry at his actions.

Xiao Qi calmly jutted in, “This isn’t the real one! Take the real one out!”

“...Fine, you got me!” Huang Feiyun shot a glance at them and pointed to his bookshelf. “Move that thing away!”

With a gentle tap, the bookshelf slid away as if it was made from paper.

Huang Feiyun looked long and hard at her before he heaved a sigh and sluggishly approached the wall. He then extended his hand to give it a knock which then revealed a hollow brick. Following that, he handed another small box to Xiao Qi.

“Is this the real one?” Xiao Qi snorted.

Huang Feiyun chuckled bitterly. “I have nothing else to say if you still don’t believe me!”

At that instant, a black shadow popped out of nowhere, grabbed the wooden box and vanished. No one could so much catch a glimpse of it, as the shadow had disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared.

“Hehe...” Huang Feiyun snickered.

However, Chu Li and Xiao Qi looked calmly at him. They did not even bother to give chase.

Huang Feiyun looked at them in dumbfounded shock. “Why aren’t you guys giving chase?”

“Why should I? It’s not my secret skill anyway.” Chu Li shook his head and added, “Furthermore, isn’t the secret skill already ingrained within your mind?!”

Huang Feiyun coughed, “Aren’t you worried that I’ll intentionally write it out wrongly?”
