You're My Only Star

"Why did you come back earlier?" Song Xing Xing asked. She gave him a look over and noticed that the tiredness on his face. "Did you come over straight from the airport?"

"En." 

Her heart burst with joy. Thinking that the man had come over to find her the moment he came back from T Country made her happy and a little shy. The feeling was indescribable. This was the first time that she had feelings.

"It's already late," Song Xing Xing said. "Even if you wanted to give me my souvenir, you can always do it tomorrow. Look at you. You should be tired after traveling back and forth."

Seeing that Lu Xun was still watching her, Song Xing Xing became very shy. She lowered her head to avoid his gaze. However, at this time, her eyes caught something important. 

She sucked in a deep breath as she saw that she was still wearing her pink house slippers. She was too anxious to come down and meet him that she had forgotten to change her slippers!

This was embarrassing! She hoped that Lu Xun would not see her in her slippers.

"Song Xing Xing."

His voice snapped her out of her trance. Song Xing Xing looked up with a dazed expression on her face. "Ah?"

"I miss you."

There was an explosion in her mind and it slowly turned into a beautiful firework. Her heart was pounding loudly. Song Xing Xing was a little worried that her heart would jump out of her chest.

This person… why did he have to say such words at this time.

She was about to pass out from excitement, ah!

Her face turned red. Song Xing Xing did not dare to look up lest Lu Xun would notice the look on her face. Song Xing Xing realized that all those lessons from her parents on how to conceal her emotion became useless in front of the person she liked.

Even such simple words could make her heart pounded this way. His charm was too great. Perhaps, this was the reason she was unable to forget him no matter what she tried to.

Lu Xun stretched his hand to touch her head. Her hair felt very soft against his palm. A helpless sigh escaped him when he saw that the girl did not raise her head for a long time.

At this time, shouldn't she tell her that she missed him too?

Lu Xun decided that he should not get disappointed too quickly. After all, it hasn't been too long since he had told her that he was going to chase her. He should be patient.

Turning around, Lu Xun opened the door and took out the souvenir that he had prepared for her. 

"This is for you." Lu Xun said as he handed over the paper bag to her.

Song Xing Xing quickly recovered her mood. She took the paper bag from him and peeked into it. There was a box inside and she did not know what was the content.

"I did not know what you like. So, I asked around and bought this." Lu Xun let out a cough. "They said that most people would buy this as a souvenir when they come to T Country. It is supposed to be suitable for a girl. I just hope that you will like it."

"It's fine. It's the thoughts that counted." 

Initially, she was merely saying that he should get her a souvenir in T Country. Song Xing Xing did not expect that he would really go and buy something for her. Of course, she would be happy to know that he had remembered her.

"Lu Xun. Thank you." Song Xing Xing peeked into the paper bag again. "Can I look take a look at it?"

Lu Xun nodded. "Go ahead." He watched as she fumbled to open the package and saw her expression brightened up upon seeing its contents. 

He did not know what she liked. After asking around, Lu Xun decided to buy a set of skincare. Seeing her expression brightened up, Lu Xun felt more at ease. At least, he had not made the wrong decision to listen to the salesperson's advice.

Song Xing Xing looked at the man again and smiled. A thought came to her mind when she saw the look on his face. 

"You don't look too good." Song Xing Xing tried to reach to touch his face but retracted her hand quickly before she could touch him. "You should go back and rest."

Lu Xun watched her for a long time before he spoke again. "Song Xing Xing, I'm a bit unhappy."

"What's wrong?" Song Xing Xing recalled that Lu Xun had gone to T Country to discuss some business deal. Could it be that the discussion did not end up as he thought it would?

"I ran into a person that makes me unhappy."

A slight frown appeared on her face. Song Xing Xing could not help but wonder about the person that managed to make him unhappy. "Who is that person?"

Lu Xun lowered his head, not daring to look up at her. "It's my ex-girlfriend."

His voice was soft but Song Xing Xing heard him clearly. She did not know how she should react upon hearing his words.

Song Xing Xing had heard about Lu Xun's ex-girlfriend before. The girl was his first love and the two of them had dated for a long time. Previously, Lu Xun had mentioned that he had declined to be in any relationship because of this person.

She had never seen Lu Xun's ex-girlfriend before but she had to admit that she was a little jealous of her. For him to be unable to forget about her… Lu Xun must really care about her, right?

Her mind was running with a lot of wild thoughts and she was a little worried that the reason Lu Xun had come over to meet her had something to do with that girl. Suddenly, Song Xing Xing felt a sense of crisis.

Could it be that he had given her this expensive souvenir because of that person?

What if… he decided to return to his ex-girlfriend?

Then, what would she do?

Song Xing Xing pursed her lips into a thin line. Her heart was in such pain. She decided to wait for him to speak and did not dare to look at his face again. 

Song Xing Xing felt her hand was tugged forward.. Suddenly, her head was rested on his chest and his arms wrapped around her body tightly.
