You're My Only Star

As she alighted from the bus, Song Xing Xing started to wonder just how did she get tricked by Lu Xun to come over to his office.

After Han Yue Xiu had found Lu Xun's jacket in her apartment, Song Xing Xing was too worried about his coat which was full of Mr. Fluffball's fur. 

Moreover, he had suddenly asked her to visit his place on the weekend. Just thinking about going over made her anxious. Perhaps, because she was worrying too much, Song Xing Xing had become a little muddleheaded and she could not think straight. 

Otherwise, how could she have agreed to come over without putting on a fight?

Song Xing Xing realized that the man was full of tricks. 

The tall building stood in front of her.  However, Song Xing Xing was still hesitating whether she should go in or not.

Even if she goes in, Song Xing Xing was not sure which identity should she use to meet Lu Xun. The guard would definitely stop her at the lobby, right?

Song Xing Xing continued to be in a dilemma.

Her phone in her bag chimed. Song Xing Xing took out her phone and saw that Lu Xun had sent her a message, asking her whereabouts.

A few seconds after she replied with her location, Lu Xun had already called her number.

"You already arrived?" Lu Xun spoke as soon as the call was connected.

"En. I just got here."

"Then, wait at the lobby. I will go and get you now."

Song Xing Xing stared at her phone screen for a while. Then, she walked in and hang around the lobby to wait for him. At this time, there were a lot of people around the lobby. The working hour ended a while ago and the staff was clocking out from the company.

Seeing the people walked past by, Song Xing Xing began to worry about what will happen when someone saw her with Lu Xun.

Initially, she had thought that the crowd would lessen by the time she reached the company. Song Xing Xing did not expect that there would still be a lot of people around. Instinctively, Song Xing Xing lowered her head and let her hair covered half of her face so that the others would not look at her.

After waiting for a while, a pair of black shoes appeared in her eyes. Song Xing Xing looked up and saw that Lu Xun was standing in front of her. Seeing his bright eyes and his wide smile, Song Xing Xing was a little dazed.

"Let's go." Lu Xun stretched his hand at her.

From the corner of her eyes, Song Xing Xing could see that the passerby was staring at her. Just as she was trying to figure out what she should do to avoid their gazes, Song Xing Xing felt his arms wrapped around her shoulders.

She looked up and opened her mouth to speak but at this time, Song Xing Xing noticed that Lu Xun had moved his body to block her from the others.

Her heart warmed upon seeing his gesture.

Once they had entered the elevator, Lu Xun finally pulled away. "Are you alright?"

Song Xing Xing nodded obediently. Although Lu Xun had let her go and had taken a step back, she could still detect his warmth and scent all around her. This situation made her feel a little shy.

Lu Xun leaned back on the wall. The corner of his lips tilted up as he continued to watch the girl.

He always knew that Song Xing Xing wanted to keep a low profile. However, he did not think that she would be afraid to be seen by others this much.

"What are you worried about?" Lu Xun bent forward until his face was close to her. "Are you really afraid of being seen together with me?"

Song Xing Xing started to panic when she could feel the wall behind her back. Her thoughts were running wild and Song Xing Xing started to wonder what would happen ie he put a hand on the elevator wall to trap her.

Swiftly, she lowered her head to avoid his gaze. "That's not it. I was just worried that someone would take a picture of us together and spread it around."

"You are worried that someone would gossip about you?"

Song Xing Xing pursed her lips into a thin line. "Once we were photographed together, the others are going to start trying to figure out about me. I just did not want the others to probe into the Song family. It's too troublesome."

The family has been living in Y City quietly. If others started to probe into their family, then things will turn lively. A lot of her family members are in business and politics as well. It would be troublesome for her family members if they were put in the spotlight.

There was a look of surprise on his face but Lu Xun quickly recovered. Previously, he did not understand why this girl had wanted to hide that she came from a prominent family in Y City. He had thought that she just wanted to stay low-key to pursue her dreams.

Lu Xun came from an average family and it was not too complicated. Moreover, his family had always stayed abroad. Therefore there are a few things that he had never had to worry about.

The elevator opened with a ding. 

As Lu Xun led her to her office, the secretaries who had not left the office could not help but took a few glances at Song Xing Xing. Previously, the only woman who had visited the President's office was his sister and they had also seen her a few times.

The person who was with President Lu Xun at this moment was someone they could not recognize.

Naturally, they were curious.

As soon as the two of them entered the President's office, the secretaries began to gossip. All sorts of theories came out and most of them believed that the woman's identity should be... the President's woman. This made them a little excited.

When Bei Yuan walked over, this was the scene that he had seen. 

Bei Yuan slammed the documents on the table, startling the group of secretaries. "What are you girls whispering about?" The look on his face showed that he was displeased.

"Special Assistant Bei Yuan, President Lu Xun brought a woman with him into the office," a brave secretary spoke.

Bei Yuan immediately recalled that President Lu had mentioned that Miss Song was going to visit the office. He shot a dangerous look at the secretaries and spoke, "You know the rules. Anything that happened on the President's floor should never be spoken to the outsiders.. Or else, you should be prepared for the consequences."
