You're My Only Star

The journey from the restaurant to her apartment was quiet.

Song Xing Xing was aware that a certain someone was unhappy. Although she could guess the reason Lu Xun was unhappy, she was having trouble believing her instinct.

Lu Xun really did not seem as like he was the jealous type…

However, his mood started to change ever since she had mentioned Huo Yun Chen.

Pursing her lips, Song Xing Xing continued to peek at the man beside her. However, he did not even spare a glance at her.

If he was really sulking, then what was she supposed to do to coax him?

Song Xing Xing was used to coax small children. But towards a grownup man like Lu Xun, she was really clueless.

The vehicle finally pulled over in front of her apartment. Song Xing Xing looked up the window and tilted her head up to look at the tall building. 

"We're here."

Hearing his voice, she quickly turned towards Lu Xun again. Song Xing Xing looked at the smile that did not reach his eyes and thought that this was not the time for her to say goodbye.

After giving a long thought, Song Xing Xing spoke, "Do you want to accompany me for a walk? I ate too much earlier and my stomach feels a little uncomfortable."

Lu Xun looked out the window towards the small park beside the apartment building. The surrounding was dark with only a dim light around. Even though he wanted to continue and sulk, he would worry to let her take a walk on her own. If something happened to her, then, he would only feel guilty.

"Alright."

A faint smile curled on her lips when he had agreed. Fortunately, he had agreed, or else, Song Xing Xing would not know what she should do next.

If he continued to be unhappy, she would continue to think about him and would not be able to sleep well.

Their surrounding was dark but once in a while, they would pass by a few people who were taking a walk at the park as well. Song Xing Xing lowered her gaze as she tried to find out a way to coax him. 

As they continued to walk, Lu Xun suddenly grabbed her hand and held it tightly. Song Xing Xing quickly looked up, wondering just what was he up to. It was then that she realized that there was a group of young boys hanging sitting around the park bench. The young boys were holding a cigarette in their hands and cans of beer were scattered around them.

This was one of the rare moments that she had decided to take a walk at the park. Therefore, she was unaware that the group of boys would often hang around the spot to tease young ladies who were using this path to head back home.

As they walked closer, the boys' chattering voices gradually stopped.

Song Xing Xing was aware that the group of boys was looking at her. However, because Lu Xun was around, they did not dare to tease her.

Lu Xun might have an indifferent look on his expression, but he was looking actually looking after her. 

Suddenly Song Xing Xing thought that this man was kind of cute.

The corner of her lips tilted up and Song Xing Xing tightened her grip on the hand that was holding hers. The two of them made a full circle around the small lake until they reached her apartment entrance again.

Song Xing Xing stared at the signboard of her apartment and realized that she had not figured out a way to coax him. She couldn't possibly ask him to walk another round the park with her, right.

Seeing that she had no other choice, Song Xing Xing tugged at the corner of his sleeve and pulled off a cute expression on her face. "Lu Xun, ah..."

His head turned toward her quickly and his eyes widened. Lu Xun was still thinking that perhaps he was imagining things. 

Why would this girl suddenly act cute in front of him? And, why was she swinging his hand back and forth? What exactly was she trying to do?

Lu Xun wanted to look away, but her round, bright eyes were making it hard for him to look away.

"You… Are you unhappy?"

"Why would you think that I'm unhappy?"

"I don't know." Song Xing Xing shook her head. "All I know is that you seemed unhappy after I asked you about Huo Yun Chen."

Lu Xun pursed his lips into a thin line upon hearing that name again.

"Don't be unhappy, alright?"

"Alright," he immediately agreed.

Song Xing Xing heaved a breath of relief upon hearing his words.

"But I think I will need a kiss to make me feel better."

Her expression froze when she heard his words. "What?" Song Xing Xing stared back at him with her eyes wide, wondering if she had misheard things. 

Lu Xun leaned forward until his faces were a few inches from hers. His brow rose as he looked at her teasingly. "You heard me. Song Xing Xing, if you want to make me feel better, how about giving me a kiss?"

Her heartbeat accelerated. 

Song Xing Xing had never kissed a guy before and she did not know what she was supposed to do. She might have seen a lot of kissing scenes in a lot of movies but watching and executing are two different things, right?

Her gaze lowered to his lips and suddenly, she could not help but wonder how would he taste like?

Shocked with her own thoughts, Song Xing Xing quickly looked away while muttering a few cursing words in her heart.

This man… He was teasing her, right?

"Xing Xing?" The corner of his lips tilted up. Seeing the shy look on her face gave him the urge to continue and tease her. However, Lu Xun was aware that he should know his limit. If he continued to tease her, it would only make her upset.

She took a deep breath and tried to calm down. Closing her eyes tightly, Song Xing Xing stood on tiptoed and swiftly pressed her lips on his cheek. 

It was a fleeting kiss on his cheek but the kiss stunned him. His eyes darkened as he watched her took a step back.

"This… this should be enough right?" Song Xing Xing did not dare to meet his gaze. "I already give you a kiss. You can't stay unhappy, alright?"

She raised her head to look at him. But the moment their gaze met, her cheek started to heat up. Feeling embarrassed with the way he was looking at her, Song Xing Xing no longer has the nerve to stay around him. Turning around, she quickly fled away from the scene.

Meanwhile, Lu Xun watched her retreating back with a dazed look on his face. He raised his hand and touched the spot where she had kissed him.

This girl... She had quickly run away after teasing him. 

Suddenly, his lips turned up into a gentle smile.
