You're My Only Star

When the food arrived, Song Xing Xing went to pick up the food and brought them inside. As she put the food on the table, Song Xing Xing noticed that Lu Xun was still on the phone.

Although he had said that he had settled his business in Y City, Song Xing Xing had a feeling that he had come back earlier with a few unfinished businesses. From his conversation earlier, Song Xing Xing knew that Assistant Bei Yuan was asked to stay in Y City to handle some matters for him.

She sat on the sofa and browsed through the channel as she waited for Lu Xun to finish his call. After a while, she could not find anything interesting on the television. Her gaze shifted to his boyfriend who was standing in front of the glass door.

Lu Xun had a serious look on his face as he was discussing business. After peeking at his face a few times, Song Xing Xing was unable to look away from him.

She might be a little bias but her boyfriend… is extremely good-looking right?

An extremely happy feeling surged through her heart, making her a little dizzy. She did not know that liking someone would make her feel this way. Her heartbeat accelerated, making her feel as if they were going to burst. The butterflies in her stomach were flying around happily. She felt a little giddy and anxious at the same time. And Song Xing Xing found that she was addicted to this feeling. 

After a long time, Lu Xun was finally done with his phone call. As she turned around, Lu Xun was startled when he caught the way Song Xing Xing was staring back at him.

Her eyes were bright and there was a faint smile on her face. Lu Xun found that the way she was looking at him was full of adoration. And this girl was staring at him openly. Meeting her gaze, Lu Xun suddenly did not know how he should react.

His throat rolled a few times and his breathing grew heavier.

If she continued to stare at him like this, he might be unable to control himself.

Lu Xun coughed and looked away. His gaze stopped at the takeaway box at the side and he found that they were left untouched. A slight frown appeared on his face. "Why didn't you eat first?"

Song Xing Xing stood up and walked over to the dining area. "I'm waiting for you to eat together." 

"You don't have to wait for me. What if you get a stomach ache?"

"Then what about you? Aren't you the same?" Song Xing Xing said. "You rushed over from Y City. I'm sure that you haven't eaten anything since." She watched his startled expression and continued, "Anyway, you said that you are here to stay to accompany me to eat. It didn't feel right to eat without you first, right?"

Lu Xun let out a helpless sigh. When Song Xing Xing walked over to his side, Lu Xun stretched his hand and patted her on her head. "Alright. I'll listen to you. Let's eat together."

Song Xing Xing pulled out the chair with a smile on her face. Then, she unpacked the takeaway boxes and placed them on the table. Seeing that he had picked up his chopsticks, Song Xing Xing then began to eat happily. 

The two of them mostly chatted about her work as well as Lu Xun's business in Y City.

After pondering about it for a while, Song Xing Xing then spoke, "Next time, you don't have to hurry up and return to find me. Just settle your business first. Anyway, I won't be at ease to see you too tired like this."

"I am not tired."

Song Xing Xing narrowed her eyes as she stared at him. He had tired eyes and he still said that he's not tired. 

Lu Xun chuckled at the way she was looking at him. Then, he leaned forward and stared back at her. "Even if I'm tired, that feeling disappeared as long as I get to see your face."

Something exploded in her mind. Blood rushed to her face until her face, ears, and neck turned red.

Her mind was chaotic and Song Xing Xing was screaming internally.

She wondered if this man was addicted to teasing her. It seemed that Lu Xun would find every chance he get to tease her. His previous words about forgetting how to date someone are definitely a lie.

The smile on his face widened. Lu Xun did not have a habit to tease someone. But when he was with Song Xing Xing, he wanted to tease her all the time. His girlfriend is too adorable and he loved the shy look on her face.

Unable to bear with the pressure, Song Xing Xing quickly gathered the empty takeaway boxes and took them to the kitchen. She stayed there for a long time until she was finally able to calm down. 

When she returned to the living room, Mr. Fluffball was occupying her boyfriend's attention. Mr. Fluffball was curled on his laps as the two of them were watching the television together.

Song Xing Xing looked at her gray cat who was watching the business news and thought that he was too pretentious. Previously, Mr. Fluffball would only sleep whenever she had switched on the television.

She walked over and asked, "Do you like Mr. Fluffball that much?"

Lu Xun turned around when he heard her voice. He waved his hand and patted the empty seat beside him. 

Song Xing Xing walked over to his side and sent an unhappy look to her cat as she sat down. She poked at the cat's fat belly. Then, Mr.Fluffball retaliated by biting at her fingers lightly.

"Of course I like him," Lu Xun said. "Afterall, Mr. Fluffball is your cat."

His words made her stunned a little bit. Song Xing Xing thought that there was something strange in his words, but she could not figure out what it was.

While she was still a little absentminded, Lu Xun had put his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him. In the beginning, her body was a little stiff as she was not used to the intimacy. But after a while, Song Xing Xing allowed herself to relax and laid her head on his shoulder.

The two of them continued to watch the television together.

A thought suddenly crossed her mind.. Song Xing Xing wondered if this could count as their first date after they got together.
